@@tomcampbell5186 yes in very light rain because it’s water resistance not waterproof i advice to Cover it with zip lock bag if its heavy rain or anything ells
Good video Ibrahim, thank you. Just to clarify, the display that you highlighted in your review will enable the customer to enable a higher top speed than the OEM display allows. My Himiway Cruiser is a ‘21 model and has the more recent top speed limit programmed into the display and I’m interested in replacing the display as you have done on yours. I thought I saw somewhere that the upper limit was a function of the controller but that doesn’t square with your guidance. Thanks!
Thanks, with this lcd the speed limit max will be 56mpg and the good things about it is giving me more torque and smoother and showing wattage consumption very easy to setup and its color display I love it
@@OldSchoolHacker Steve, when you get this new lcd screen, could you please verify here if the speed and torque does get enhanced on the Himiway cruiser. I got my bike 3 weeks ago and the max speed on the lcd settings is 44; I heard 2020 models were able to set at 99. I am only getting 27 mph (gps) now.

Two things. I have the same KD718 on my 2021 Himiway step through cruiser, however, in the advanced settings my slow start does not go to zero. Instead it is 1-4. The second problem is that in the upper left of the screen under the battery icon, it is set at 0/W (for watts), but the actual watts do not display while I am riding. Also the 100% green battery icon never goes under 100% regardless of how long I ride. Any suggest would be a help. Thanks for the video.
The price is just go up $5 because of the key pad, I got it for $110 but I have the regular key pad as you see in the video but all other new order is with same key pad of the Himiway original display
Had so much trouble with Himiway. They tried to replace my faulty motor 3 times instead of letting me ship the bike back for a replacement. Took 6 months and I had to take it to a mechanic to replace. Then, still didn’t work and they wanted me to buy another one and return the old one before they would send me a new one. I think they’re customer service is in China? Just get something local because Himiway doesn’t know how to fix their problems.
The Himiway ebike is very good and the price is very responsible but yes sometimes I hear like your problem some bike comes with Problem we understand that but really they need to work on the after sale service or they need someone professional to deal with like your problem and other problemes
My Himi Cruiser arrived in April, Ventura CA. I went into advanced settings, changed the percentage of PAS divisions 0-7 etc. changed the speed limiter to Max, only "46" instead of the earlier 2021 Cruisers with "99" I'm athletic 6ft 185lb, I peddle out to 25 mph and the motor actually cuts out. I understand the early 2021 Cruisers go 35 mph. I have de-limited the limiter but the limiter de-limited me hahahaha/sad actually. Will "Roy's" display if requested actually unlock the potential of my Himi Cruiser? If YES, then my friend Mr. Ibraheem an extra 10 mph is Gold to all the Himi riders that are "LIMITED!!! Thanks Yes I already have my eBay store i sell full hydraulic brakes system customized for Himiway and other ebike and I sell fat tire all sizes I sell headlight light customized for Himiway and small things but for the lcd need to install the software so it’s just from China
@@bebo150067 I clicked above links, I'm confused which one goes to the Himiway Cruiser, also Mr. Roy will not limit the speed? I hope you are getting a commission? Keep in mind my Cruiser is limited to 25 mph. I believe under proper conditions I should hit 35 mph. Does that sound correct? Also how do I find your Amazon store?
@@seriouskite all of them they fit on Himiway ebike just you need to choose the one you like ,there’s no way to reach 35mph the max you can get is 31 mph what ever you do no more than that

My Himiway cruiser is set to speed level 99 which means that I can reach 33 mph (gps) on level ground. Does this color lcd have the capability to unlock the bike to a class 3?
You will get the same what you get from the older lcd but the speed limit max is 56mph just more torque and smoother and easy to step up also have some small futures and color display 😂
They sold out all and there’s a problem Shortage with the main chip on the lcd and other Devices , if you wait i will get the lcd display next month with speed limit 99 not like the one on the video 56 limit

Hello It’s very easy just unplug the original lcd display cable and plug the new one you need to align the cables there is small arrow on both side of the connector and then plug in Done Thanks
@@bebo150067 Yeah, it's easy peasy. I just switched my display from an old broken Himiway bike to my new bike as new displays on the new models now govern the speed to 25 MPH and the only way to change this is either using an old display or getting that colored one, which I also ordered - ha!
hello my friend I also ordered a hiniway and am eagerly waiting for the bike! a question about the display: during my research, I could not see that you have quick access to the menu as you imagine it. can this be set without any problems on the KD986 or does this happen if you hold down plus and minus at the same time? G'day. I received my display today and installed it. It appears to be working OK but I haven't taken it out to test everything yet. When I received it there were a couple of air bubbles that I pushed out. Now here are a couple of light scuffs showing. It seems like there is a protective film on the display but if there is, It is difficult to remove. Was there a protective film on yours and were you able to remove it? I have protective film of my own I can put on if I can get this off.
@@raypabs5374 I removed the speed restriction. FYI I also changed my rear freewheel from the stock 14 x 28 to a 11 x 34 to reduce the ghost pedaling at high speeds and also give me a bit more in low gear. Right now I can get a top speed of 33 mph in high gear pedaling at PAS9. I weigh 200 lbs. I've also got a 52T chainring I might put on sometime when I can get a new chain the right length. I might be able to get another 1-2 mph top speed.
@@raypabs5374 The KD718 and other KD displays are much more intuitive and user friendly than the stock Himiway display, easier and quicker to program. It will be explained in the instructions or you can easily find a video on RU-vid showing how it's done. Just have your laptop or phone next to the bike and follow the instructions on the video.
