REMASTERED IN HD!! Official Music Video for Lips Of An Angel performed by Hinder. (C) 2006 Universal Records, a Division of UMG Recordings, Inc. #Hinder #LipsOfAnAngel #Remastered
THANK YOU i liked the song, but i always felt it was messed up how everyone ignored it was about cheating on his girl, and it was viewed as like the most romantic song of its time in that genre according to radio play
I listen to remind me of the wonderful husband I have and how lucky I am to have him. He's right here. Some jerk of a cheater tried to get to me and I refused him. This song reminds me to be grateful.
This song, Better Than Me and Hinder in general have a huge impact on my life. My father left me and my mother when I was 7. Was incredibly stressful for us. But perhaps the worst of it was my mother's broken heart. I was really all she had, and I never left her. Any time I'd be with her when she was driving, she'd be playing Hinder, 3 Doors Down, Shinedown and lots of other artists who make these types of former love songs. They've always played in my head even 16 years later. If you took the time to read this, thank you.
@@glenguzman0383 I can just only tell you what my grandmother told me: she said “if you love two people at the same time, the only person you actually love is yourself.” It’s selfish to cheat. You should probably spend time being single in order to sort out who you are and how you actually feel in between relationships so you don’t get involved with someone else before you’re ready to and ruin their life
We will never forget the nostalgia, all of us are tied together and we all know these songs speak volume to each of us, where is my squad at? We can't let this music die!
It’s crazy that we like these songs when we were kids and when we come back we like them even better because we understand the true meaning of the song
been having girl problems recently. First heard this on a USB mp3 player from my cousin when I was 11. now im 26 and most of these words hit home and definitely differently from back then
This song hits home. It was the early 2000s. I was stuck in an unhappy marriage. Although I wanted it badly, counseling was not an option for my spouse. I met someone through a friend who was also in an unhappy marriage. We leaned on each others shoulder. We were able to talk to each other. So much in common. Our friendship quickly grew into more than just friendship. We saw each other as often as we could. After 8-9 months, our spouses began to suspect something was going on. We both came clean with our spouses and divorces were in our future. Something happened and I got scared of another commitment. I broke it off. Fast forward 20+ years and we are both happily remarried (to other ppl). We remain good friends, but she will always be my "one that got away".
What a bittersweet story. Thank you for sharing. I am glad you both are happily remarried - but I pray you don’t hold on to the lyrics of this song as you both are re-married. Take care.
A situation this song is for is me and my husband separated when we were young he dated another person ...when I would call made it hard and we were never over ... Not cheating smh it's not cool to cheat you should had just left the marriage before cheating 8 months my god
I leave my comment here so that when someone decides to leave a "like", I get a notification and reminds me that I have to listen to this song again.💜mountain in Greece when I listen to this song.Hey you who is reading this comment with your mind, may God always bless you and may you never lack food and water, Amen 🙏🏼💙
Here in the Philippines, this was one of those famous songs we sang on karaoke machines. More often than not, it was either sang by someone drunk and/or heartbroken lol 🍻
"No I don't think she has a clue..." Bruh. Bringing an entire band to play while you're talking to your ex while singing about it might give her a clue. Unless she's Helen Keller, then she might not have a cl... Wait. She was smart. Nah, you're fucked.
It's crazy, the memories that are attached to songs. We're different people now, with different people, but these songs still make me remember things I've long stored away.
@@AJPReactions To the point of being sneaky on the phone because he doesn't want the new girl to hear him talking to the old. lol (Edit) I would consider that cheating, personally, but everyone else has their own opinion on that. :) Still not a song you want to dedicate towards your current partner. lol
@@littlekitties1517 An interesting interpretation and I could see where that could be possible. (I love it when songs can have different interpretations.) "According to Austin Winkler (who is the band’s singer), a real life experience inspired the song. And said experience had to do with Winkler finding it very difficult saying goodbye to his former girlfriend despite the fact that the relationship was beyond over."
This song always makes me think has a 1 person that I've never really been able to move on from. I don't think He will ever really know how much I really cared about him.
This use to be the song of my girlfriend and I......12 years ago - 11 years ago she died in a car accident - Her name was Chelsea. This is the first time I have listened to the song since she passed. Be kind to each other out there. Love and miss you Chelsea.
Hidden meaning: The girl in black and white footage is dead , his talking to himself on the phone. He puts his mind in a delusional scenario where he dumped her for another girl, and she's with another man because its easier for him to think of her death this way. He can't handle the fact that she's dead. There are many indications for this: 1) The candles in the video clip seems important, candles usually symbolize funeral and grief. 2) The name of the song "lips of an angel", people who die are refferred to as angels by their loved ones, meaning that they died and became angels. 3) For the people who are wondering " how come the blond girl doesn't hear him on the phone? ". The most likely scenario : the new girlfriend knows that his hallucinating, she knows his imagining things. Talking to his dead girlfriend on the phone. She knows that this is not a real phone call. Just notice her looks, she's not angry at him ? she looks jealous of course but not angry ? why is that ? She seems worried about him, she wants to make him forget but she's failing. 4) The picture on his desk, when people die you keep their pictures right ? Otherwise why would he have this picture ? why keep a picture of his ex while living with his new girlfriend ? isn't he afraid that his blond girlfriend will see it ? 5) Song lyrics : " LET HER DIE DON'T WANT TO SAY GOODBYE " he doesn't want to say goodbye. His ready to feed himself anything to justify her absence. Anything ! He doesn't want to acknowledge that she's dead. .... his state of mind is so focused to make this fiction real, that he even got the audience to believe that this a typical love triangle about unfaithfulness and betrayal. He got you to believe his dellusions, so it can be as real as possible. but THE TRUTH : SHE'S DEAD. "its funny that you're calling me tonight" : its funny because this the same day she died. It's the anniversary of her death. This interpretation makes the song more romantic, it's about the love you have for someone who died. He's not unfaithful he's actually very loyal to the girlfriend who died. Just look at his face expression his in severe emotional pain.
The Man Behind The Scenes i agree with you, especially when he said “its really good to hear you voice saying my name it sounds so sweet coming from a lips of an angel hearing those words it makes me weak” this explains that the girl he loves is dead and is delusional.
I didn't know this was a time line of who's listening when this is more suppose to be bout the music and how it's so damn good and every now and then laugh bout his t rex arms in the video not said poor me I just found out I'm the girl in the next room give me attention
Why do the hiding when you coudl've stop the current relationship and continue your broken relationship with that person that you love or desire? Some men likes the thrill .. a forbidden love makes you feel very excited but for me i think thats very selfish ,,coz youre hurting the other one person for doing it
I wouldn't consider it that nostalgic. Ambitious memories that strike cognitive onance to one's formulated perceptive memoir. This song is like a decade old
Dude I've been on a thing lately for this kind of music. I've been revisiting Nickelback, Deftones, Incubus, Puddle Of Mudd, Staind, Seether, Switchfoot, Creed, you get the idea this music was a true era.
I love the multiple meanings behind the line "honey why you calling me so late..." because not only can it mean late at night but it also can mean late in life. Now that he's already in a relationship it's too late for him and whoever is calling to be anything more than what they are now.
It's also one of my favorite interpretations of the song. in this video, the picture, the candles. The fact that the girl isn't upset or angry, but more concerned. It shows toward a man in pain at the death of a loved one, not cheating or anything. And he can't accept that she's gone and is going through motions of delusion to try and deal with the loss he can't accept.
I listened to this as a boy, and that same girl is listening to it to this day I just wanna say you make a soft lil transgirl like me very happy to be who I am
I’ll never forget the first time I heard this song, girl I dated made me hold my knees in her apartment above a bar while this played, she was a huge hinder fan, we out here 🧟♂️
My ex listened to this song when we are meeting each other, even in the middle of the relationship. I was trouble with a friend of his, and she really liked him and have a history with him, before me. Now, four years later I understood why he was singing with so much passion.
Fun fact: Only less than 0.4% of the world are dying from corona virus. And over 99% of the world are alive and well. The world is not dying from COVID-19 mate calm down.
This was me XD back then my whole family sleeps together and my mom isn't used to me having a bf. my bf is also from thousand miles away from me that's why he would always call me around that time. My mom would always wake up and nag me about it! xD
@@orianeasmore8941 I've seen 2 female pov perspectives. One was an ex whose current bf beats the shit out of her, hence why she was crying and the other was a side chicks perspective. Personally, I think the side chick one didn't match up since the original song is about lack of closure, temptation and choosing to walk away rather than infidelity.
I didn’t understand this song when I was younger but now I totally understand it. Sometimes you just don’t really move on from that one person. You’ll just always love them.
I know right. We like these songs as kids because of the beats and melody. Then we age. And we come to realize pain and heart ache. This song is so relatable to my life right now. Sometimes there's that one perfect person for us that we love and never really move on from. Even if they moved on... or they think they did but never really did either. 🤔
My thing I you haven't moved on why still be with that person instead of cheating leave the person. you with and get back with the x.tell that person the truth Instead making them look like a dumb ass.
