Hare Krishna, I am from Suriname, Suriname is not exactly like India but has many similarities such as Religion, Sita-Ram, Radha-Krishna, Shiv-Patvati, Mata Hanumanji etc etc. Our roots come from India and we have a lot to do with India to make There are two things special that we Surinamese do not do what is done in India. number one we don't believe in the caste system anymore and second we don't give dowry like in india. Suriname fiji mauritus are the only countries where generations preserved hindusim and adopt modern hindu. India nepal n western hindus are also modern. Trinidad guyana are seperate and confused what to teach about Hinduism and also unable to counter muslims and are converted
