It’s nice that you’re able to have some “big country” to have these events, in such a small country. We are so spoiled here in north eastern Ontario Canada. Crown land goes on forever. Good job out there. Thanks for the video!
Although Japan isn't that big compared to many other countries, about 70% of the land area is mountainous and 60% of the land area is forested, making it a fun place to ride off-road :-)
Thanks! Really enjoyed it. Although by the time I got to this section I was really tired and kept making stupid mistakes. Need more skill, strength and stamina. Will keep practicing...
Great riding! 😎🤘🏼 Would you share your suspensions settings? Mine only have 2.5h on it and im on the standard setting. I’ve just put a little faster rebound on the shock, 4 clicks faster. I ride similar terrain, for now its very very good but i wonder if it can be even better 🤷🏻♂️
Awesome video. Never knew Japan had a enduro scene. I just got a 24' KTM 250 XC-W. Why is your bike called the 'EXC'? Thought it was a 300 XC-W. Different name for different region?
Pleased to hear that you enjoyed the video. The XC-W (North America) and EXC (rest of the world) models are very similar and only major difference is that the EXC is usually supplied as road legal (turn signals, horn & mirrors). In Japan only the KTM EXC models are typically only offered for sale.
Awesome ride thanks. What gearing did you end up settling on? Also would you suggest the mid or high compression heaD from TSP for slow hard enduro/singke track stuff? Cheers again
Thanks! I'm using 13/50 gearing which works well for this sort of riding. I'm using a medium compression head and would recommend it if your typical riding is sea level up to about 1500m (about 5000ft). However, if you typically ride above 1500m consider getting the high comp head. The TSP medium comp had and ERM map tune work great. Very happy with it.
How do you think this new motor compares to the tpi? I have a 23 with tsp power kit. Head and ecu flash. But I’m thinking of making the change to tbi and doing the same mods.
I much prefer the 2024 300 TBI motor to previous TPI. The bottom end power is noticeably stronger, making it a lot easier to ride in technical terrain. I love it with the TSP Power Kit (I have the medium comp head). Highly recommended :-)
@@TokyoOffroad I’m picking up a 24 you this weekend. I think I remember watching one of your videos where you were talking about a 1 piece bar clamp that your hand guards bolted to. Am I crazy? I can’t find the video now :)
@@brentnels I use BRP hand guard mount/handlebar clamps. The kit includes left and right top clamps (not a single piece clamp) shopbrp.com/dirt-bike-parts-shop/dirt-bike-performance-parts/ktm-aftermarket-parts/ktm-350f/hand-guards-101/brp-hand-guard-mounts-dirt-bike-hand-guards/
Unfortunately I don't know of any companies which offer hard enduro tours in Japan. I know some overseas visitors have come over for races though and organized bike rental for the race. I could put you in touch with race organizers if that's something you're interested in...
