Also, this is from a interview in 2009: Nomura: Please look forward to it. In Birth by Sleep, the initial Organization members appear, but I can’t say they play an active part. At that time, they were humans. Pay attention to Xigbar in particular. Although, when you think you understand his true nature… The mystery may deepen even more. (Laughs) He has a different standing than the other Organization members, there’s speculation about his original form.
I'm convinced Nomura writes some parts of the story as he goes and others he just keeps notes in case he wants to use something from the past or just tie stuff in more nicely
"Ha Ha! Talk about a blast from the past." "Of all the faces.. Why do I look at her and see yours?" The fact that Xigbar sees Ventus when fighting Xion in 358/2 make so much more sense now. That was a face that kept showing up in crucial moments throughout his life. Plus Ven was there from the start. Sure, so were Lauriam and Elrena (possibly Demyx, and Luxord as well). But none of them appeared as often, or as prominent as Ventus. From Union leader, to X-Blade, to the form of Roxas. I'm sure near the end he was getting sic of seeing his face.
Despite what people think, Kingdom Hearts is pretty well planned out, if convoluted. KH 1 was the only one made in a vacuum and it's amazing how well they managed to connect things to everything else. After KH1's success, more things were planned, and after KH2, around BBS is when almost all of the Xehanort saga was pretty much planned out.
“You really put organization xiii in a pickle, I guess that’s why the keyblade chose you. But man did it pick a dud this time. You don’t even look like half the hero the others were” -Xigbar’s words to Sora in KH2 before the boss fight against him. It’s funny how when he says “the others”, I used to think he was only talking about Aqua, Terra and Ven. But after seeing the KH3 epilogue my guess is he is talking about the dandelion leaders and the foretellers. My mind is blown
So true... but it made sense that he was hiding something from the beginning, so I'm just glad to see what happened. He didn't hide the fact that he was knowing more than he lets on THAT much.. always was mysterious indeed.
3:56 “You think you two have got some grand ROLE to play”-this line can also be a hint, with the word choice of role. The fortellers having their assigned roles to play.
It makes so much sense when he says that because he has a massive role to play compared to Ventus and Aqua. When she asked him who he was, he answered by saying that he was far beyond what they were. He thought of his own grand role. They wouldn’t be able to even comprehend what he was.
Also how could he possibly know anything about being a full-fledged Keyblade wielder unless he used to be one before. That line that he said towards Ven really bothered me back in the day. He just met Xehanort and briefly knew about Keyblade.
I love the fact that this whole time he was playing xehanort like a fiddle. In the endgame post credits we'll find out that Loki was secretly galactus this whole time
He said Xehanort was the scapegoat. Xehanort passed before he actually got to figure out what the hell actually happened. If he was able to see the memories Skuld lost before Xigbar took her away maybe he would have gotten rid of Xigbar. Smh haha
Also, in that scene w/ Aqua and Ven, I noticed how differently he acted towards them. With Xehanort, he acted simply as a thug following orders for a Keyblade. But here, he acts more nuanced, mysterious, and a lot more serious towards them, as if he knows they’re big threats to his plans later on.
Honestly he kinda showed he was important in many way its just we didnt know the whole luxu thing. but in every kingdom hearts he'd do something. Weither its confusing the shit out of people or talking about something important he for sure stood out from everyone else. I mean in king heart 358/2 days they literally said his power was moving through dimensions.
In Kingdom Hearts 3, when you complete Olympus, Maleficent and Pete find the wrong black box and then leave, after it shows Xigbar trying to say “ May your heart be your guiding key” but is cutoff. That is another piece of evidence.🤔
As soon as Xigbar said that, I knew right then he was from Union X Cross days. When he revealed himself to be Luxu, It made perfect sense to me and was not surprised.
I already had suspicions about Xigbar (primarily due to the scenes in this video, as well as some others that aren't), and the KH3 post-Olympus scene confirmed it for me. I was on the phone with a friend later that day saying "it's pretty obvious that Xigbar is going to be Luxu". Then I got to the end of KH3 and lo and behold...
@bobby With him being Luxu? Yeah. But after he supposedly “died”, I didn’t believe for a second that he was actually dead. I knew something else was up and that at SOME point in the game he’d appear again. Although honestly, I was expecting Xigbar to shoot Xehanort in the back and he’d end up becoming the Final boss. NOT him being Luxu lol.
@@BobbyTheGamerOfJUSTICE Since we were ending off a Saga, it was smart of us to pay close mind to the little details, he loves to sprinkle in hidden meaning to his endings, if they aren't the final part of a story.. He did it with hints in the past, of course he would again. SO I can see why anyone would think Xigbar isn't really dead. Why would he be the only one to die off screen? That would ruin the flow, so he didn't. He didn't fade at all, cause It appears Luxu has different rules or powers we may not even know about yet.
DetectiveXigBraigBobbyFulbrightTheSpiritofJUSTICE yeah I was expecting Xigbar to be the final boss as well in all honestly... I knew he was using Xehanort for his own ends but didn’t really know how The off screen ‘death’ made it obvious he wasn’t actually gone, they didn’t really try to hide that
When re:playing 358/2. Xigbar took more control the xemnas. Like all the time in the chairs it's xigbar making orders and telling people off, not xemnas.
@@meetmulti I mean i still don't see Xigbar is the one who is making orders in 358/2 Days like you said, i just still see it Xemnas that's all, everyone of us have a different point of view right
@@alialatrach9788 I didn't mean xigbar was ordering people about. But more like xemnas would say something and then xigbar was always take over explaining it making fun of it and more. Like he did with xion
I once upon a time told my friends that Xigbar and Luxu have somewhat of the same humor. They laughed it off. I dropped the theory. I need better friends 😭
yikes. we both need better friends. mine are die-hard axel fans and during that scene said, "wow, he sounds like axel. i bet that's an axel incarnate or they're related." i'm like, "yo, if anything, he's more like xigbar". they shunned me and continued their dumb axel yaoi smut. i cry.
mona lmao if I could get my one friend on here, we pretty much had same convo. But you couldn’t rule out Axel either honestly. But it didn’t sound anything like him. Lol
@@saintgeekSG It could be from MoM's Keyblade that he was given. Who's to say that the Keyblade didn't like, start changing his personality to the MoM? We still don't really know just what power Keyblades have. He did say that Xigbar was just another form, so, who's to say that close proximity with MoM's Keyblade didn't change his heart, and in extension, his personality? Just food for thought.
I sure do hope we end up getting a big climatic battle between Luxu and Ventus in Union X. Ever since Xigbar’s first scene in KH2 with Sora in the first visit to Hollow Bastion when Sora gives him “the angry look” it seems that Luxu has been hinting that he and Ventus have some major history together and possibly some unfinished business.
That part from kh2 was obviously just referencing BBS when he fought aqua and ven as braig.. the very scene where he mentions the "angry look" is right here in this video, and theres nothing that hints to them having a "history" from before BBS
@alberca While that is true, this DOES explain why Xigbar saw Ventus through Xion in 358. Why would he see him if he wasn’t special to him (in some way)? And the fact that he only saw Ven “once” in BBS makes it really suspicious. It must mean he knew it years prior to BBS.
DetectiveXigBraigBobbyFulbrightTheSpiritofJUSTICE but xigbar even makes a comment saying something along the lines of "why is it of all the faces when i look at you, i see his" (meaning vens), so why would he say that if they had a more significant relationship or more interactions before BBS? So no, thats wrong too because if ven was "special" to him even before BBS, he wouldnt be surprised that he saw vens face when looking at xion
@alberca He said that because it brought back memories. He didn’t necessarily sound surprised, more like “oh hey, it’s this little shit”. Besides, immediately after that he says “Why do you always have to glare at me like that?” Key word is ALWAYS. In BBS, Braig only met Ventus once. Why would he have said ALWAYS if they hadn’t met before??? 🧐🧐🧐
Xigbar always felt off to me throughout the series to me because he seems too "knowledgeable" about the things around him. In KH3 when he started to quote the "May your heart" basically pushed it over the edge for me.
He might still be. We already have had Xehanort travelling in time, why not the Master of Masters? Also, in Back Cover, MoM says that the Keyblade he gave to Luxu has his own eye engraved into it, and Xigbar wears an eyepatch. It may be a reach , but, honestly, when it comes to KH, any nonsense is possible. The MoM could well be an older version of Xigbar himself.
I knew there was more to him, since Kingdom Hearts II. In Jiminy's Journal, he's listed as the founding member of the old Organization. There have been numerous hints throughout the series, but as soon as I heard his voice-actor in χ-backcover, I knew immediately.
Max Mittleman (Saitama from One Punch Man) is Luxu is Back Cover...... and the sneaky SOB said “just wait till the game drops I can’t give ya any spoilers” when I asked about his character..... he played me so well 😭 and he ain’t even in it
Dude, I'm proud of myself. I didnt call Xigbar being Luxu. BUT I did call that Xigbar was much more important than letting on. Almost like he was pulling the strings all along. I really felt I was right when in DDD, its Xigbar who confronts Sora and says "i have a few more hoops to jump through.
Yeah my instincts were going like crazy too, so while I was shocked Xigbar was Luxu, I did feel some satisfaction that my guy instincts were right about him being more then what he led on.
i felt the same way when i played birth by sleep a few months ago (yes i got the HD remasters and 2.3 months before Kh3 and played them all before playing KH3) and I knew he was gonna be an important character down the line, he seemed to have an ulterior motive and i feel so satisfied that i told my friend that has been a fan of KH since it came out and i he didn't even believed me he was like "whatever you don't know what your saying" and boom! Felt good telling him i told you xD this is coming from someone that played the games in December xD although i played KH1 back in 2013 xD but still!
Yeah this is me exactly... I knew from more or less KH2 that he was hiding something and my suspicions grew over time... The Olympus scene tipped it over the edge that he was something to do with Union X times but I didnt guess Luxu specific
Xigbar is my favorite character in the entire franchise. And after this game, he went to be my favorite villain in gaming. I’m NOT exaggerating when I say that.
Dracoruin I get your point. But there are times where I am not able to play day 1. Heck, sometimes I get the game a year after it was released. I don’t blame the video creators though. I just wish that there was some sort of inbetween, like how reddit has a post’s thumbnail blurred out if it’s tagged as a spoiler
i like how it retroactively makes every time Xigbar called MX "old coot" a snarky in-joke literally only he gets. I also feel like, retroactively at least, the "you're not half the wielder the others were" could be referring to the Union Leaders just as much as the BBS trio.
Don't forget about how he meets Sora for the first time, he literially teleports right up to them and taunts them. Also that KH2 boss fight: "You don't look like HALF the heroes the others were" Is that the wayfinder trio, the dandelions or the foretellers he's talking about hahahah
It is actually a very compelling argument. Most of us fans simply thought that those scenes with Braig's/Xigbar's eyes were just leading up to the plot twist that Braig/Xigbar was Half-Xehanort and of the true purpose of Organization XIII, to make 13 vessels/avatars of Xehanort, individuals to place the pieces/fragments of Darkness of the X-blade into. All leading up to the reforging of the X-blade and accessing Kingdom Hearts. It never really dawned on us that there was a double meaning to those scenes. By the way excellent job tying it all together.
This was definitely my theory, after seeing backcover Xigbars scenes really sounded like he had all knowledge of the keyblade war and previous knowledge of the No name. , I’m so glad my favourite character is being given a chance to take the spotlight.
Even though I was shocked that Luxu was Xigbar as well, I still felt something was up with him because he just screamed, "Loose cannon" to me. So when Luxu's true identity was revealed, I literally scream, "OMG I KNEW IT!!!!" Like I knew he was up to something. He toyed too much with everyone, and that right there should have been a clue because in the Union Cross scene when Ava confronts him, he kind of toys with her too I think. So yeah I am hyped! Now I am just waiting for NicoB's reaction to Xigbar being Luxu. Oh Riku was my fav KH char, well, Xiggy just trumped him now. I love chars who know more then they are letting on.
I thought the eye thing was leading up to the "I'm already half Xehanort." Braig's eye in Radiant Gardens prior to the final battle was orange if I recall
After I saw the Luxu reveal I remembered the scene where he confronted Sora at the end of KH2 and called Sora a traitor with emphasis on the word TRAITOR...
He was referencing Roxas. If anyone would be containing Ava or something like that id believe it to be Kairi. Hence why Namine you know....doesnt. look. Like. Her. Just a theory but you never know.
Meh. Either way, I'm glad namine isn't just a copy paste of Kairi's looks at the very least. and He always was a goofy guy, very fitting that it's something important. namine is the cuter one :o
It's kinda a reach but when I re-watched the scene 7:30 I kinda thought Xigbar was making fun of Saix. Saix is doing all that he can to find a girl (subject X) and Xigbar is the one that hid her. I wouldn't be surprised if Xigbar knew Saix was looking for her, like he eavesdropped on a conversation between Axel and Saix.
But note if you pay attention to every xigbar scene he manipulates the characters in away that they don’t see that he is just egging them on to complete his goal just think about it
@@malcolmxe54 I'd personally prefer if she was Skuld but since we don't currently have confirmation on who she is I'll refer to her as her own new character hence subject X.
@@CarlosThadeu So uh, fun fact, Patrick Stewart and James Patrick Stuart are two different people and that's confusing as hell. Just imagine Xiggy with Captain Picard's voice.
Rukifellth ....... I feel like stupid now. What’s even worst, I saw in Oblivion, his voice, and how has nothing to do with Luxu... I am just gonna go cry in a corner now
It was always evident that xigbar had alterior motives to what xehanort was doing so it made perfect sense for him to be Luxu... I was still surprised though
_I guess that must be the reason why the Keyblade chose you but man did it pick a dud this time, you don't look like half the hero the others were_ How could you forget that line from Kingdom Hearts 2? Its the first hint we get on the backstory in the series not relating to Ansem/Xehanort.
That's what many were thinking during the BBS-358/2 days era. But knowing what we now know about him that seems unlikely. Xigbar/Braig/Luxu didn't really interact that much with Aqua, and Ventus during BBS and he was less then impressed with Terra. He's seen ALOT of Keyblade wielders during his time. Its like how during KH2 he tells Sora _"he used to give me that exact same look."_ we originally thought he was talking about Roxas (even though Roxas didn't go around giving him pissed of looks while in the Organization) when looking back its more likely he was talking about Ventus.
He didnt have to "interact" with them that much at all, that final battle is all any person would have to see to know how good they were, and he couldve been watching them at any other point without their knowledge as well.. also i dont recall him saying he was "less than impressed" with them but perhaps im remembering it wrong, but regardless even if i were to grant you that, its still irrelevant to the point im making.. and when he mentions the angry look he used to give him, hes referring to ven giving him the look in the very scene presented in this video - when ven is frozen and aqua is holding him.. so while it is true that its POSSIBLE that he is referring to the keyblade wars as well and foretellers when he says "others", as it stands, there is no evidence of it and also, as i said in my previous comment, that quote that you mentioned does not necessarily hint at him being luxu
This argument or discussion...whatever this is, is stupid so I'm leaving this: "I dont recall him saying he was "less than impressed" to Terra _"You know for a Keyblade wielder you're not very what's the word? Good."_ Him talking about Ventus instead of Roxas when Sora first meets him in Kingdom Hearts 2 as was originally assumed was my *POINT* I suggest you go back and *READ* what I wrote because you telling me what I already pointed out seems to be a case of, r/Woosh. I was using Roxas as an example for how everyone assumed he was talking about Roxas like how we used to assumed he was only talking about TAV (that means Terra, Aqua, and Ventus). My point Xigbar/Luxu has met *MANY* keyblade wielders throughout his life wielders whose powers were most likely greater then just Terra, Aqua, Ventus, and Sora at that time and whose feats impressed him.
Meteornome as i clearly stated: "perhaps im remembering it wrong", i acknowledged that i may have forgotten braig saying anything to indicate he was less than impressed so i wasnt saying he didnt say it but also i clearly stated "its still irrelevant to my point".. so with all that being said, you giving me the direct quote where he does say it literally contributed nothing to this discussion since it didnt matter.. secondly, bringing up the thing about ven was just a reiteration to further emphasize my point that there is STILL nothing necessarily linking what he said in that case or the quote in your original comment to the keyblade war era, and the point still stands.. while it is POSSIBLE, the fact of the matter is there isnt any evidence that shows that he was referring to anyone other than terra aqua and ven when he said "others" and that was my point to begin with, yes he probably knew many keyblade wielders but once again, theres no evidence that he was referring to them.. i was simply pointing out that that quote wasnt necessarily a "hint" at him being luxu, and you have yet to prove otherwise
What I love is that every main character (besides Kairi, Riku & Mickey) have had some kind of memorable confrontation with Xigbar. I love the look Aqua & Ven made in kh3 when he first appeared. Terra obviously had the biggest influence over the character we’ve seen. He’s the one who took his eye and gave him the scars. Terra, Aqua, Sora, Riku & Xion are the only ones who have actually fought against Xigbar at this point. No doubt when it’s revealed Luxu (Xigbar) pulling some of the strings, everyone will band together once more because they know personally how manipulative he can be. Very smart planning. I wanna see all the characters lose their shit when they realize what exactly this character is and the importance he really holds.
I think a lot of aspects of Braig/Xigbar's character are directly influenced by Luxu channeling the Master of Masters. After all, from what we see of Luxu in Back Cover, he's pretty different from Xigbar's character, but many people have commented on Xigbar's similarity to the MoM. I think Xigbar channeled his old master's personality in an attempt to appear as flippant as the MoM so often does.
I absolutely lost my s*** when I saw this it was actually a spoiler there's also the hint at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 3 after you beat Olympus Maleficent and Pete are digging up to find a box it cuts to xigbar about to say may your heart be your guiding key but it cuts to Black leaving it as a cliffhanger
Love to see my favourite character get this incredible reveal to truly show how much more important he is in the overall plot of Kingdom Hearts universe!
To be honest I was more certain that they would have made Braig/Xigbar the Master of Masters. Their voices sound almost fairly alike, their mannerisms and way of speaking are eerily similar. Plus they both seem to have lost an eye. The Master of Masters looks like a much better fit to be Braig/Xigbar then Luxu does. Although there is still a slim chance that this theory could still be possible. Maybe Is reality Braig/Xigbar is both the Master of Masters and Luxu. I mean, if Master Xehanort could time travel to meet his younger self and set himself on the path to forging the X-blade and summoning Kingdom Hearts, what's to say Braig/Xigbar can't do the same. Maybe the Master was somehow Braig's/Xigbar's Heartless time traveling the same way Xehanort's Heartless Ansem did. The possibilities of that happening isn't really Far-fetched.
I just had a thought... What if the Master of Masters is in Luxu/Xigbar's body? I've noticed that he and Xigbar acted the same, personality wise. I feel like there's a connection there.
I'm thinking luxu is mom not the other way around some kind of time travel shenanigans where luxu goes to the past but older now and becomes mom to set everything in motion. After all to time travel in this series you have to first become just a heart and then there has to be a version of you. He goes to the past takes control of someone and then instructs his younger self on what to do
I'm pretty sure the master of masters body is in that black box and Luxu has his heart. Now that he has the keyblade he can unlock his own heart and release the MoM back to his body.
@@FlyXcur yes he is the Masters of masters an that keyblade is his he had to give his own eye to forge it looks read the secret reports it's talks about having to masters of masters giving his eye to make the keyblade hints xigbars one eye
kishimoto had to put black zestu as a plot device to kill madara op ass but nomura did it smart by showing us a few years ago that xigbar was a the master mind along
Okay now in retrospect if the next Saga of Kingdom Hearts is going to be more intricate in assuming that nimura actually planned for xigbar to be luxu, I will say that I'm excited the more I think about it I feel like Kingdom Hearts 3 story was such a mess due to the fact that it had so much to cover and rushed to cover it all in one part of the game also feeling that namoura himself may have had fatigue with this Sagam and was in a hurry to end it? All wild speculation but I am curious to see what the next move is but before that we need our Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC
You missed a couple in kh2 after you meet xigbar in land of dragons if you go on jiminy’s journal and look for his name it says he has a greater goal in mind beyond the organization’s goals from what I recall, also in kh2 in the xigbar boss fight he says “you’re half the hero the others were” to Sora probably talking about the old Keyblade wielders, or about the terra, aqua, ventus trio.
I definitely think Young Xehanort and Xigbar/LuXu were aware of each other. YX: Every Keyblade master is bequeathed a Keyblade of his very own. With the passing of time, *as you can imagine*. LuXu: Whatever. I got my hands full with my own plans.
The biggest him about him being luxu was just how he carried himself throughout the entire series. He acts just like the master of masters. The master of masters was only adult figure in his life that practically raised him and he was the wisest man he knew. So it'd only makes sense that once he set out on his own he'd emulate the only grown up he knew.
This is a joke theory.... What if the 7 Sora must save are Luxu, the 5 Foretellers and himself (reference to how the Master of Master reference himself). Yet the 5 foretellers are Riku, Kairi, Aqua, Terra, and Ventus. Sora gains his true power to be the Masters of Masters. Second joke theory... Sora is one of 7 hearts he held. (Sora (masters of masters), Kairi, Roxas, Ventus, Xion, Namine (5 Foretellers) and finally Vanitus (Luxu). Thus recreating history all over again to bring light vs darkness. I will say this again, these are just jokes since no one is going to come up with it.
It's weird knowing that Xigbar had this big huge plan for his role...but seing older cutscenes like when he ran at Xehanort shooting wildly in Birth by Sleep
Honestly, I wasn't surprised at all. I knew he was Luxu as soon as I saw that Union Cross movie (basically as soon as I learned of Luxu's existence). They move so similarly. Even tho the voice was different I was like "waaaaait, why is he acting like Xigbar?" And the way he interacts with Roxas, Sora, and especially Ventus, even if we just assume he's only referring to current events, just the way he talks shows that he's a very nostalgic person, like he's seen a LOT go by. He keeps getting excited whenever he sees Sora like "Yeah! He always gave me that same look!" like almost fanboyish. To me it would make sense for him to get excited over consistency after watching just generations of stuff going by that he can't ever call back to. Like omg he did the thing! I remember when he did the thing!! But anyway, yeah I knew it when I saw Luxu's animation. XD
Yea I replayed many of the games after kh3 and when I rewatched that scene of him talking to zexion and he was talking about Keyblade wielders I was like “WTF” and also at the end when he says “you’re half the hero the others were” in kh2.
What really caught my interest after watching KH3 was the scene in KH2 where Xigbar said that Ven gave him the same look that Sora was giving him. Originally I thought Xigbar was talking about Roxas since he was Sora's Nobody and Roxas was a member of the original Organization XIII. It was only after seeing watching KH BBS and KH 358/2 Days that I realized Xigbar was talking about someone else. Though once you think about it, the whole thing still didn't make sense at the time. Xigbar spoke about Ven as if he had seen the boy before many times, but in reality, Braig (Xigbar's Original Somebody) only met Ven once, during BBS at the Keyblade Graveyard. After reviewing the scene in Union X were Ven was revealed to be one of the keyblade wielders chosen to a Union leader in the data world, I formed a new theory: Luxu probably had several encounters with the new Union leaders in the past before they were sent into the future. Its possible Ven saw Luxu send his friends into the future. Unaware of what was going on, Ven, no doubt, got angry and tried to attack Luxu, only to be sent into the future with no memories of the Keyblade War or the fake data world.
I knew Luxu was Xigbar year's ago but I confirmed it with kingdom heart unchained x it was pretty obvious for me at least or so I told people is a Madara and black zetsu situation.
Just noticed this: so it was Luxu who "found" Marluxia/Lauriam and brought him to the organization! He then saved SubjectX/Skuld and of course he knows who Ventus really is (and maybe what he did in the times of KHUX) What I cannot yet understand is why Luxu got involved with the Organization. His role was to observe, not to take part into something else (falling to Darkness even). Could it be that MoM after talking with Young Xehanorth also spoke to Luxu and told him to follow Xehanorth and be part of his future gang? Or did Luxu act on his own? I find his character to be so interesting!
I remember being about to fall asleep months before the KH3 came out and just randomly thinking about who Luxu and the MoM were when suddenly I was like YO! IT'S FUCKING XIGBAR! O.O So the moment he started talking about getting the Keyblade from Xehanort, I was convinced I figured it out. Then the Epilogue played and I was just like "I FUCKING CALLED IT!!!!" It was so satisfying to be inside Nomura's head for even just a split second lol
Before Kingdom Hearts 3 I always thought that Xigbar was somehow the Master of Masters, because of how simulair they acted. I guess Luxu/Xigbar got his act from the MoM.
I always knew that Xigbar had a grander role to play since the beginning. Then I watched Back Cover and I knew that Xigbar was either Luxu or Master of Masters. I was so happy when I was right.
Xehanort was looking for "the girl". Luxu was the one that told Luxord to look for the box. Then Luxord throws sora a wild card. He can put Mickey in a card..why not a real box.
so in order to understand whatever the hell will go in kh4 you need to play union x, kh3, all of the other kh games that came before that, and also watch all of the disney movies used in all of those kh games as well as play all of the final fantasy games and watch the final fantasy movies too. what the fuck was nomura thinking?
Mr LloydVal and it all started because of an elevator ride with an employee of Square Enix and Disney talking about how Disney Characters would look cool with the N64's graphics
The Moment we run into him in KHII in Radiant Garden. His very first few moments with Sora and Co. He is put up as an important Character. He is the first to straight up call out to Roxas and Ventus from Sora. He teases them throughout the remainder of the series as if he has an ultimate plan for them. From the MOMENT we see him in KHII...DUDE LIKE 13 YEARS AGO!
Call out meaning to reference them and make the character connection. In the whole scheme of things that is not a big deal because all the organisation members know about Ruck-Sack. But ONLY Xigbar/Braig/Luxu knows about Ventus...Xemnas doesn't know. Who MIND YOU, is the Big Bad of KHII. When it comes to the whole Narrative of the series(i.e the pace and path the story is revealed to the player), to have Xigbar/Braig/Luxu introduce us to the idea/concept that there is someone else inside Sora before it was even relevant says alot in itself. AND NO AT the time of playing KHII we don't know that Roxas is inside Sora officially. We just see Roxas return to Sora's body.
There is another thing too, in 358/2 Days Xigbar is seeing Xion as Ven from all the people and Ven was one of the union leaders in Union X, Luxu knew Ven according to the secret reports so it' not a coincidence
u forgot one part, in the beginning of kh3 once u finish the columns, Xigbar was trying to say "may your heart be your guided key" but the game cut him off
I always found it weird that Xigbar saw Ventus when he looked at Xion, but with this revelation and those two's connection to the keyblade war, it suddenly makes sense. Making sense in Kingdom Hearts... what has the world come to?
It was something I was theorizing ever since they introduced Luxu and MoM It’s just the way Xigbar is, he acts like a perfect hybrid of the two(Luxu’s Personality with the humor of MoM[something that can be taken from a master-to-student typically])So when they revealed it I through my controller in the air and got excited. I thought it was my most Farfetched theory and that it would never come true. BUT IT DID
Jesus. Xigbar was never meant to be Luxus. The eye thing when he ask "who are you?" was meant to be a hint to the dream drop line: "I'm already half-Xehanort".In which the camera actually points to his eye. Kingdom Hears 3 story line has nothing to do with what was in store. They changed the story halfway development. You can see that they did that because in 2015 Young Xehanort's eyes were still orange in the trailer when he was playing chess against Eraqus. They change the color of the eyes of Xehanort to erase a plothole and subsequently create more plotholes. Which plothole? Aqua being posses by Xehanort, that was the original idea. You can tell that by the fact that Aqua has white hear and orange eyes. Mmm... that doesn't sound like a heartless to me. That sounds like Xehanort. But now, in Kingdom Hearts 3 people that fall into darkness have orange eyes. Which doesn't make any sense. The other reason for the scene: "who are you?" was to establish that Xigbar has lose some part of himself to Xehanort. That's the first instance in which we see the eye-changing color phenomena.
One of the things that is really fascinating about this reveal is that it makes us have to reconsider everything we thought we knew about Xigbar and all the things that were previously 'confirmed' about him. One of his earliest pieces of dialogue was to tell Sora that 'he used to give me that same exact look' Until Birth by Sleep we assumed 'he', meant Roxas simply because we knew Roxas was in the Organization. However, we later learned about Ventus and that the two of them have crossed paths before during BBS, so that line was then 'confirmed' to be in reference to Ven. Yet looking back on BBS, Ven and Braig don't really interact very much so it's hard to say why Xigbar would remember 'that look' so vividly. And most recently, it's been revealed that Ventus was originally from the age of Fairy Tales and one of the Danelions, which suggests that he and Luxu might have known each other *then* as well, although we never see them interacting- unless Luxu has more secrets yet to tell, which I'm certain he does and will be revealed in the upcoming saga- and we may yet find out that 'he used to give me that same exact look' could mean something we never could have guessed! Me? Hyped as hell? More likely than you think
That also explains why he saw Ventus when he saw Xion in 358/2 Days, because Xion acted as mirror depending on those closest to Sora. Xigbar hardly even interacted or fought Ventus in Birth By Sleep but during the era of Union Cross with Ventus being a confirmed Dandelion they must of interacted more.
Your theory holds some validity especially when you consider that we don't know what Luxu looked like during the time of Union Cross so he may have been associated with Ventus in some way without us realizing
I always knew that there was something more to xigbar ever since kingdom hearts two when i read Jiminy's journal and saw that he was number 2 in the organization. As a kid, I thought it was strange that this kind of funny and weird dude with an eyepatch would be xemnas' right hand man. I knew there had to be something more to him, and later games of course set up that he had other plans in mind. Although, after I never would have guessed luxu because of his voice.
Been a long time, but I recall when you fight his nobody in 2, it zooms to his eye as well. I always caught it and asked if this supposed to be something, but 2 had so many mysteries and was hard to keep up with.
So then how old was Luxu supposed to be before he lost his heart with the others at hollow bastion? Wasnt the events of KH back cover like hundreds of years ago? How did Luxu survive that long? Same for the other foretellers. How they live so long?
Those cutscenes that his eye is in accross multiple games when the dialogue speaks of him knowing something greater are literally a metaphor to him being the eye of MoM. That's why the Xehanort's now keyblade was created and Xigbar is just carrying out his role. There is a reason I always loved Xigbar and his voice actor does the part so well. As if!
I remember i first played through KH2 and beat it and got to meet all the characters, i knew there was a standout reason Xigbar was my favorite Nobody character in the organization and it feels so fluent they would add more lore to his character completely out of proportion!
