You video are so helpful! I do have two further questions that I am having trouble understanding. Does foot stretcher height alter strain on hip flexors? And also will altering the drag factor change how much stress is placed on them as well? Sorry if you have addresses these elsewhere. But if you have any thoughts or can point me to videos where you have addressed them I'd appreciate it!
Hey Sarah. Thanks for reaching out and glad they are helpful! Foot stretcher height will change the pressure at the hip. I think I mention it in video 2. Which is here:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4dEigiKR0TI.html Yes, altering the drag factor will change how hard it feels and if you don't have great connection with the machine, then you will notice it more with a higher drag factor. Let me know if that helps or if it doesn't quite answer your question.
@@TheRowingDoc Thanks so much. I still didn't catch the foot stretcher height part. I am guessing a lower height is better? I can't seem to find the right spot... Although I think the biggest issue for me is likely they are not strong enough. I appreciate your reminder that they aren't as strong as we think! I appreciate the exercise recommendations. I'll be giving them a try for sure. And the drag is another one I'm struggling to find my sweet spot. I have a Hydrow, which I know operates a bit different than others. Theor drag of 104 is supposed to mimic the water but I am just getting back to rowing and am a super wimp right now and find that a bit too hard. However, when I go too low it seems my legs don't engage enough/properly and I use my back too much. But I guess it something I just have to play around with more. Thanks so much for you help.
