Bots? 😂 People can't wrap their heads around just how large in number army (BTS fans) are, so they come up with alternative scenarios or explanations, but they really do have a loyal following. Jimin is one of the lead vocalists and a main dancer in the 7 member group. They are all super talented. Updated Jimin info that some aren't aware of: ❣JIMIN, born October 13, 1995, at age 11, started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy. Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The song, Jimin’s vocals, his dancing, the amazing choreography, also the amazing backup dancers, the lyrics he wrote, the music he composed as well as being involved in the production! Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet! No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this made me that much more excited, for the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” released on March 24, along with his main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Though Jimin’s song ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, blew me away , meeting all my expectations & then some, I was also not totally surprised, because indeed Jimin is now ‘set free’ from the confines of being part of a group, to now be able to open up full throttle and ‘finally’ be able to release all that he held back for so many yrs! Jimin has been involved in every facet of creating this album! Hands on all the way, perfectionist that he is, including writing lyrics, composing, as well as being heavily involved in production! Aside from Rain, Taeyang, & BoA, Korean idols, known not just for amazing vocals, but their dance ability, Jimin was also heavily influenced, with other role models, such as Chris Brown, & Usher. So it goes to follow he’d also appreciate other equally well known artists who also were amazing dancers & performers aside from vocal ability. It also goes without saying that Jimin, was indeed heavily influenced by MJ. He even taught Jin to moon dance for Dynamite MV, also Jimin was the one that suggested other MJ moves also for BTS song “Dynamite”. Jimin already at early age of 10, started studying hip hop at the renowned Just Dance Academy, in Busan, city where Jimin’s from, which teaches all the many different styles of hip hop. There is even a post made that shows a performance where young again 11 Jimin in 2007, not only performed already, on right front side of stage, but later on went in front and did a solo. JIMIN also competed, excelling in popping, & isolation moves, winning every competition. JIMIN also since a little boy, trained 8 yrs in various forms of martial arts: Taekwondo (blackbelt), Hapkido, Kendo, & Chinese martial arts. Side Note: When learning Taekwondo, as a little boy, I believe Jimin said that doing the splits was one of the first things required to be able to do. He said that he'd put his legs split, up against the wall for quite long, hrs at a time. The weird sounding names are just stan accounts. We make ‘non-real life’ names to just enjoy BTS online anonymously. We are real people that fill seats in stadiums and buy merch in stores and listen to music and watch RU-vid videos. We see each other in real life by going to events and DJ nights. We are just VERY active online and it’s been partly bc we have to organize online to get BTS 1/10th of the representation that English speaking artists get. They get radio play regardless of the music being trash. They get awards in group categories when they aren’t even a group. They play a stadium without selling it out and the media acts like they are MORE successful than BTS who sell out stadiums in presale.
Don't bother asking the "who is bigger" question; it's kind of pointless (also you would have to define what you mean by bigger). TS has been around longer and was well known in the US before BTS even debuted. They both have massive fandoms and can sell out stadiums over and over. They are two immensely successful but completely different acts, traveling in two different lanes, and there's room for both.

Fun Fact: The auto-tune is supposed to represent his shadow, reflection, or inner self that wants to be set free. While him singing without auto-tune is his "real self". Thats also why he says "Fuck all your opps" instead of "Fuck all my opps" because even though he's talking to himself its still a different entity to him. South Korea achieved democracy in 1987, they get their $. Luckily bts' company is better than other kpop companies, in that they give their artists artistic freedom, less rules, and the $ they earn. (The kpop industry is a completely different system than our music companies, and the kpop industry is not representative of all of Koreas music, its too complicated for me to explain rn so ill just leave it as, yes they get paid lol) Eta: those tats arent, but he does have some. This song and album is in reference to express how he felt during the COVID lockdown. All Korean males between a certain age (forgot exact numbers) are required to enlist in the military. Right now Jin and J-Hope are enlisted. We are waiting to hear when the other members are enlisting. All seven members are scheduled to be together again in 2025. This year Suga, RM, Jimin, V, and JK have been promoting solo projects. J-Hope did a collaboration song with J-Cole.
This song has both Korean and English but also think about how when you compare two languages there are some words that sound the same but just with an accent at the end this song and his entire album was about how he felt during the pandemic as if he was trapped inside and was trying to get out Jimin does have tattoos but the tattoos all over his chest and torso where fake it’s actually a German poem that adds to the meaning and message of the song but his back tattoo at the end was real and he also has a tattoo on his rib cage but it was covered with the poem but earlier in the mv you can get a glimpse of it through the slit in his shirt

English is great for communicating, but the world speaks more than one language. The guys of BTS speaks more than their native tongue of Korean btw. They did beat Taylor in 2020 and 2021 for the best selling artists in world and have stayed in the top 10 since 2018. Taylor did reclaim it in 2022 and BTS are #2. Check out one of their rappers Agustd - Haegeum, the lyrics will be important in this one, it's sort of a social commentary if you're interested in thar kind of stuff. (Haegeum is a Korean traditional instrument which was sampled to make the beat and it also means "to lift a ban")

I do love your reaction to this song tho but youll come to notice that bts do know English to a point they mic English with korean in their songs and they are blowing up the bts army are incredible and we support our guys always. There is a saying you dont find bts... bts finds you when you need them the most. 10:51 yes they do go in and out of English and Korean in most of their songs In his mini album the narrative is chronological... in the first track he speaks about his break up and indulging in alcohol, then denial/ escapism/ exploration of his identity, then facing reality and depression and then comes set me free pt2 in the tracklist... so in this case I think it's more liberation from all these negative thoughts and experiences he had to overcome during the pandemic! The fame component probably was an aggravating factor but I don't think that was really the focus or core message of this song.. However BTS does have amazing tracks speaking about the weight of fame (groups and solo): - "ON" (kinectic manifesto film), which actually heavily inspired this track sonically, visually and lyrically Jimin even references the line you were talking about (going insane to stay sane) from thay song - Wildflower by RM (BTS' leader) - Interlude: Shadow by SUGA (rapper and main producer of the group) BTS and Taylor Swift's numbers are neck to neck... BTS were the best selling artists in the world in 2020 and 2021 with TS # 2 and their rank switched last year in 2022 (BTS is currently on a 2-year break from group activities as they have to complete their mandatory Korean military service for 18 months...2 already enlisted and a third one is about to go)! But I think Taylor's success is more concentrated in the US and Western countries (I mean... no shade but not everyone can relate to a white american woman...) while BTS's reach is less US-centric but far more global, there are ARMYs literally everywhere! Of course the language barrier does explain a bit that discrepancy and the prejudice associated with the image of "boyband" and there's little Asian representation in music in the US but the barriers are also put by the industry as you pointed out this should have been played on radios and the US BTS ARMY is still huge and kept requesting it and many other BTS's songs... but we are often met with again prejudice and discrimination... the only songs that got played on the radio are their few English songs or US artists collabs, like currently Jungkook's solo song Seven ft. Latto, the Savage Love remix they did with Jason Derulo, Dynamite, Butter, My Universe with Coldplay or Jimin's Angel pt.1 with Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, Muni Long and JVKE... But even songs like J-hope's on the street with J Cole or RM's Still Life with Anderson. Paak was really dismissed by the industry... so yes although they've been around for 10 years they have to constantly shatter cultural barriers and because they don't shake hands with industry people and are under their indie Korean label... they don't get pushed as much in the US (which also partly explains the huge fan support as we are cognizant of this pushback and feel like we have to make up for it) Anyways, not sure if you're gonna read all of this but BTS is quite mutli-layered and you got questions so I hope this can give you the beginning of some anwers! Because BTS don't shake hands with them, they can't profit out of them, so they undermine them... that's how the music industry rolls definitely.. especially if you're independent.. especially if you're an artist of color but at the end of the day like you siad it all comes down to money and corruption..money buys anything so I totally agree and that's why I respect them so much for not doing it!
Jimin is in group called BTS (7 members) which is kpop, they're trying to break out on the stereo of K-pop because it's so confined. So he's trying to be free and do as he pleased and not be locked into K-pop. BTS's from South Korea, their the biggest band group in the world, They as a group bring in to S.K. 4.9 billion per yr. BTS have been together 10yrs. In South Korea males have mandatory military service for 18mos, some of the members are already enlisted, each member did solo albums until all get our in 2025.
About the 'bot' thing, it was just something he had heard and didn't know. There's so much disinformation about BTS, that it can be hard for people new to them to know the difference. For how much money they make or have, yes management and government takes a big hunk. They all get a base salary for BTS group content but then make a lot of personal money from copyright royalties, stocks in the company, individual albums and concerts/appearances. No one knows for sure how much they've earned but they're all very wealthy. There was a study made and BTS's popularity is so high that they contribute an estimated $4.9 billion dollars to the South Korean government every year (tourism, Korean product sales, ticket sales, etc). The front line dancers banging their head became a famous tik tok dance challenge thing. One of the other BTS members does it sometimes just to tease Jimin but also because he liked the dance move so much. Lol TS is a fan of BTS and BTS is a fan of hers, too. My husband and I are both ARMY in our 40s. Not bots. I've never heard that before and it's definitely not true. ARMY are just really passionate about our boys and we are comprised of people of various ages, genders, nationalities, races, and musical interests from around the planet. That's because BTS are so different from the rest of the music industry. They have actual people that are out here listening to their music and when we see new people checking them out ARMYs THEIR FANDOM NAME comes out. We support if we feel the person is being genuine but once they show they aren't we move on. But whoever told you BTS has bots they lied to you.
We are not Bots! They have over 40million fans worldwide (although some say over 90m now). There are no BTS - trust me. But our RU-vid algorithm show us who react to BTS so we watch. We also screen reactors to see who’s legit and who’s reacting for views and likes.
