This video was amazing when it first came out. Everyone wanted to see what their faces looked like and this video was basically one big tease.

So when Corey says “I was a creature before I can stand,” I think he’s talking about how the world has always treated him differently before he became the world famous singer song writer we know today. Which means that he had to become famous before everyone looked at him like he was an actual human.

dude it’s so dope that you went from being half scared to watch them to loving them , slipknot has always been a favorite, my dad is a tattoo artist so he’s always playing metal in his shop and i pretty much grew up hearing slipknot all the time

I will say this though, Watching your newfound interest grow in metal is bringing a smile to my face. Because each and every one of us feel those same goosebumbs when we first wore these albums out back in the day.

The meaning of the song, and your interpretation of it are spot-on. During the writing of the album this song came on (The Subliminal Verses) was the time the lead singer, Corey Taylor, got sober. So, the changes he went through were very palpable both mentally and physically. It’s been said that an album is a snapshot of where a person or a band is at the time that is was created. I believe there is no better example of that concept than this record. In the Google Play mini-doc on this band, Clown referred to this album cycle as a time of healing. “Little more color, Little more saturation...chilled a little bit, but still THAT guy.”

This is actually one of my absolute favorite songs by this band! This song also won them an award for best metal song back in 2005. One of my favorite bands all in all too. Seen them in concert about 8 times and I fully intend to go see them again next year when they go out on tour once again.

This song brings me back to guitar hero 3 days when I heard song for the first time I don’t know for a fact but I think this was the first if not one of the first songs that got me into metal the heaviness, aggressiveness, and pure awesome riffs and talent of these musicians blown me away and left me speechless and from that moment my taste in music was changed! This song is still one of my top favorite to this day

The video is showing their true selves pretty much. In the beginning, it starts with just their feet and hands and stuff. Then, as the video goes on, it shows the band mates masks are off..and little by little, it starts showing their mouths, their eyes, their features. And what Corey means by "I will remember before I forget" is that he will remember who he truly is behind the mask before he puts the mask back on and becomes the icon that everyone else remembers.

Without question, one of my favourite Slipknot songs. It won them a Grammy, they don't care, I love that. Paul and Sid accepted, Clown too if I remember correctly. The night this came out on Aus tv I stayed up late to watch, no regrets.

First Slipknot song I ever heard and I was grossed out that I liked it as much as I did. Now with the release of their latest album, I just can’t deny that this is one of the best bands ever. How they can still bring their crazy energy that they had from the beginning! It's unbelievable. When I found out that they weren’t satanic, just extremely non-mainstream and none of their music is attacking religions or politics they didn't agree with I loved them even more. I’m so glad you love one of my favorite bands! Love your channel and love the joy you bring to my family (dad in particular.) Maggot for life, with love!

Vicarious Jambi 10,000 Days (Wings for Marie Pt.1 & Pt.2) The Pot Rosetta Stoned Intention Right in Two Since I don't think you'll react to anything non-mainstream, those songs are about as far out as mainstream ever gets... just the fact that Tool can sell hundreds of thousands of albums is a testament to their quality and this selection would be on a best of if one were made, no doubt!
