He made great points. How can we cry when Nipsey dies but continue supporting music that promotes the lifestyle that killed him? I knew that I'd be part of the minority by choosing to not glorify death and negativity in my music. HipHop can be used to uplift, educate, and empower, so why do we use it to celebrate destruction? I refuse to use my gift to mislead the youth. Let's get back to making art.💪🏾💯👑
Anything that isn't gospel music is considered to be devil music back in the day.. that means r&b & jazz... You have violence before hip-hop. Gangsta rap is not hip-hop... Dee is too young to know what he's talking abt. Instead of going to the root which are the Chinese & Jews who fund hip-hop he's picking soft targets that's a knee jerk reaction for blk ppl.. point the finger at the artist but not their environment... Yikes!
He has to give back like Katt instead of talking like he knows better but hasn't lived long enough.. nor has he created policies that help everyone... yikes!
@@pay_it_forward_franklin4469 that’s all semantics. We know what he means and besides the point will still stand because hip-hop is the culture rap is one of its art forms. The issue is present in both & he already covered it by saying ONLY celebrating the finer aspects whilst refusing to acknowledge and address the evil aspects of hip hop is problematic
@@jessejkulchacunningham5062 "semantics?" Hey he illustrated & exemplified an oxymoron that everyone, especially the (Y)yung & (I)impressionable may not presently-parallel the encompassing-convergence that's not 2 sides of the same-coin of Kulture. The 5 Elements as 1 i.e. 1 Spirit is the Foundational-Origin of the Kulture, and Hip-Hop as 1 i.e. 1 Soul is the Foundational-Origin of the Freedom. Rap on the other-hand is everything opposite of the former; prior this sentence. The part you are calling 'rap' inside of the 5 Elements is Emcee. Inside of Hip-Hop Kulture, Rap may be exhibited as a figurative-metaphor for what an Emcee does, but there is no Emcee in Rap; only performers of entertainment, which could be anyone, and is for hire. The rap-side of the game is what he is talking-about; all etc. void of Kulture & Freedom. Hip-Hop: Kulture-Freedom, 360°, Origin of Elements 0, Cypher i.e. God, Gij,j=0 rap: corporate performance-entertainers for hire minus Hip-Hop, plants, npcs, decoration, etc.
Parents don't want to be influential.. men tell wm they want sex but not a baby... Wm want a baby & to be able to say they did it without a man... Once this gets targeted & fix you can't blame the music nor listener... You have to blame the environment & upbringing. Parents don't have filters around their children... yikes!
It started at the roman collusium with slaves being called gladiators & now they are called athletes so no it won't stop. If it does the ppl have to get wise & political & the ppl don't want that. You can't safely voice your opinion from home.. bloodshed always dictated policy... The ppl ain't ready for that so hip-hop is the fall guy... yikes!

They don't know about the power of music. For the longest time Hip-Hop has been hijacked many decades of years along the way became weaponized turn into negativity towards our people self-destruction also cause destruction towards our community.
They understand, but negativity is a drug, everything negative is deem cool majority of the time. It's sad, but it's true. That's why you must be a leader not a follower.
That’s sad because wanting to see the projection of intelligence and positivity should never be considered “hating”, everyone should aspire to that, not gluttonous indulgence on all fronts
This brother acknowledges the positivity and the negative. We need to understand that Hip Hop isn’t the cause but it propagates so many issues in our community! Preach young brother! Need more like him! Our music has been poisoned and it’s on us to check these artists, record companies, and radio stations for feeding that garbage to our people and our kids!
The band Silver Mask is a young black music group that’s been making some pretty good music as of late. A lot of 70s & 80s vibes coming from those young brothas
@@thatdude3977 I feel that but aside from Pac the other ones came out rappin about drugs and violence, am I wrong? Those are the greats tho, the dope boys are dime a dozen
Same here. I stop listening to rap 3 years ago when I understood how this is used to promote d*ath,d*ugs and promiscuity in the african american community.
This brother is speaking 100% truth! And if you disagree, just look at the current state of black urban culture. It’s full of mental and emotional toxicity,
It's not a matter of common sense - it's a matter of having wickedness in their hearts. God has given them over to their wicked desires, and the wrath has only just begun for them
I love hip hop because it always puts my in a take no prisoners mode. At the same time I acknowledge that this mode isn’t always the best to be on. Lately, I’ve been listening to other music to keep my chill. Music legit has the power to control your moods. It’s crazy
I am a die hard hip hop fan. But yes … you’re right: the “killa” frequencies are too potent. What has allowed me to transform as a human is meditation/ambient/New Age music - during work and after work. Keeps you in Zen laser focus mode. If you have Apple Music …. Just tell Siri to play the “Meditation Playlist” and BOOM …. You’ll see and experience PEACE and self-reflection come into your reality 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
NO ! YOU'RE CRAZY! and so is anyone who agrees with you! Sure, music can affect a person's mood but not to a degree where it can transform someone's personality and cause them to do something that they wouldn't have done if they hadn't listened to a particular song or style of music!! That's not science, that's science fiction! Music has a superficial effect at most! Lastly, negative music isn't causing or forcing a person to be violent. The music just glorifies violent behavior.
I became a fan last night. I should be ashamed i never Heard or picked Up on him and im in m'y 50s. He reminds me of a young krs 1 with His knowledge, and hes on track musically. Just m'y opion
#peace his message tho may be accidental is oxymoronic between his dissertation, and the contextualization of differentiating rap & Hip-Hop by dissertating about rap, but contextualizing it as Hip-Hop #respektfully

I love everything he’s saying and I’m a fan just off the strength of his message. Much respect and more power to you young king. I hope you get very successful so the message you’re pushing out reaches all the corners of the globe
I agree. I told my ex girlfriend that black men gotta stop celebrating the criminal lifestyle so much. We are over saturated with murdering each other.
No lies told. And more artists need to hold themselves accountable. Instead of people attacking them, they should be either saying nothing....or telling him that they will take a look at the part they played in this debauchery and work on it.
Ppl need to hold themselves accountable. If you're not interested don't listen or watch but yet ppl can't look away acting like they're being forced. Music hip-hop is to entertain not to learn. Kurtis Blow never taught no one the alphabet nor Tony Braxton taught you how to balance a check book... Gospel music doesn't teach you abt credit scores but because of hip-hop popularity it has to teach ppl something... yikes!
@@innerstatescrilla1887stop babbling pseudo intellectual nonsense hip hop is a creation of black culture with that being said black peoples have a obligation and right to criticize our culture and how it’s portrayed to the world AND how we are portrayed to the world!!!
Most of the so called artists aren't even artists they're just hustlers and low life's who see rap as an easy come up, they don't give a fuck about music, or art
This young man is one million percent right about the world and the current state of hip hop ! I'm with u on young soldier on everything u said and stated .
May GOD move this young man to great things and longevity in his pursuits. I pray this GEN and others take to his testimony and try and change the genre back to something respectable. He's likea cross between Shock G & Immortal Technique. Wise, smart and charisma. Salute Art👋👋for showcasing intelligence.
Move him into politics so he can stand on the things he say & move him in front of the Chinese & Jews that fund hip-hop & let's see how far he goes .. yikes!
It’s definitely a gem dropping going on here. It’s the same as peddling poison in the streets. You gonna be part of the problem or part of the solution? There’s no middle ground

This isn’t even up for debate. He’s absolutely correct. It doesn’t matter who or what you believe in. It’s right in front of us. It’s not ALL hip hop, but it’s most of what is on the main stage.
I think its the way its done PAC did "Keep your head up "with good intentions but also did "Hit em up" with bad intentions it just depends on the story a artist is telling anyone who take what is said serious has a problem 🤔 Common explained this also on the song"I use to love her" basically use your brain 🧐
Nowadays, most of the kids lack comprehension skills & discernment. They're a bunch of followers that believe whatever's fed to them through social media and music.
I understand, bro. The only thing I have to say is, just cause they put it there, don’t mean we have to go in. That’s when we got to hold ourselves accountable for the choices made.
MUSIC IS A MANTRA, if you repeat the dog like barks of murderers you are more likely to take part in that act. Be a CREATOR, do what no one else ever did, you have a unique perspective and can fill a role no one else can.
No lies told. 💯 My favorite Mc’s/Rappers are the ‘Human MC’s/Rapper’s’. They make art about any and ery aspect of life, good bad ugly. They rap about God in a positive and show that they care about their people through their art. ‘Character Rappers’ have a role and they create art that fits that role. They don’t rap about God in a positive light and they don’t show that they care about there ppl through there art.
Makes a lot of sense. I couldn't vibe with hip hop no more for some reason in the past 10+ years. It was because of the evil energy added into it and glorification of negativity and evil. For the past 4+ years, I have been listening more to Christian music. It's all about the love and positivity for me. I am less anxious, I am able to control my frustrations, and I can actually control my thoughts and choose my words more carefully. I've been exploring more in the Bible. I pray more. Thank you, Jesus, for showing me the way.
