This is the Famous Fairmont Mara Safari Club which you probably heard of as Fairmont is one of the most reputable hotel chain in the entire world.
This beautiful camp in the Maasai Mara in Kenya is overall very good for any safari lover but is especially excellent for families traveling with young children or elderly people. Here is why: even though it is a safari camp with tent like accommodations, you still get everything you would expect from a normal hotel. In fact the main reception, dinning area and lounge are in one massive building that has a hotel feel with very comfortable seating, a massive fireplace and even full bathrooms. There is plenty of space for kids to run around freely.
In terms of safaris and game drives, you can for sure pay extra and get the full experience Kenya has to offer but the basic game drives that come with the package, they are 2 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening. These are done in a private conservancy just outside the Maasai Mara National Reserve, using an enclosed vehicle, once again making this ideal for young children and elderly people.
We would for sure recommend this safari camp, especially with the current promotion that they are running. Great tents, delicious food (especially the chapatis), caring staff and the best view of the Mara River you can get!
