Managed to get hold of a hire van Had to work hard to get my money this week #courierexchange #adr #samedaydelivery #anvillogistics #courier #vanhire www.anvillogistics.co.uk
Hi Dave I’ve had a TGE for the last 3 years and I wouldn’t ever go back to anything else. I’ve put 200k on clock and not had a single thing go wrong bar a new clutch at 150k which is just standard wear and tear rather than anything mechanical going really wrong, Totally agree on the overhead storage in back though, I miss that. Bought mine for £20k with 10.000 miles on clock just before prices went silly, you’re looking at 35-40k now for brand new. Cheers Rob
Great vid as always Dave, glad you had a good week pal, I almost bid on a job from James today but got a better one in the end. Good luck pal all the best. Good looking van that to be fair cant believe no aircon though.😀
Strange that you should post this here because so many Brits do not want work so there is more for those that do. I tried to employ 5 and they all suffered from alcohol or anger problems, l never thought l would be offered violence asking someone how a day old aluminium ladder become shaped like a banana.
The whole centre seat back folds down to make the desk. Also, that's a pretty high spec. I've got the lowest spec, and all it has is electric windows, nothing else.😂
Fletcher was asking for a breakdown still running that van with all those miles on it. It was inevitable that it would breakdown the engines won't do 300k miles now just not built for it.
I agree totally, the problem is that even when rates charged are “good” they don’t factor in van replacement costs. I replace my vans at 70/80k so I get decent money back on them and thus minimise breakdowns.
@chrisl2610 yes your bang on there. If you look big companies will run them till about 150k 180k if its a sprinter then they get shut. If you can afford to swap at 80k miles even better. It's not good business running old or high mileage tackle your asking for headache
Good evening Dave as I wait for my train home 🏡 lol 😆 better stuck in a van than a 40ft artic like I’ve been plenty of time 🙄 Always enjoy your chatting along videos buddy 👍🏻 Hope City can put a cherry 🍒 on your week by beating Man U on Sunday………🤔 Tough game . I’ll have it on my truck radio on my way to Edinburgh 😊 Have a great weekend matey 👍🏻
Having watched a few of these CX videos, and not personally being a courier...ive always struggled to see how people can work this. Surely your entierly at the mercy of one provider, the CX. You pay a hige fee to join, then have to basically bid yourself down for work, without any certainty that you will actually get it. Ontop of that, each day you'll have no idea what your going to earn. Im sure some make it pay, but it sure looks like stress and graft for somewhat little reward. The only person who i think is doing well in this game is the shipper. They know exactly what THEIR margin is, and will just wait until drivers bid down to that. Best of luck with it though. Interesting to watch 👍🏻
You are right and really the CX was originally designed as a backload site to get you home and top up your money. In an ideal world you would have better paid work off someone else and use the CX as intended. However it’s grown and some people use it as their only income but they know how to work it well
I suppose it depends on where you live. I’m in Gtr Manchester so it’s a busier area. Do a google search of hazardous goods transport companies in your area and email them telling them about yourself.
Great video as always pal. I've been meaning to ask, did you do your adr for this line of work or did you have it before hand? Can you recommend a decent course provider? Stay safe and make money 👍
ive seen the hoyer fuel artics in BP and Costco so do they fill up diffrnt compartments with diffrent fuel grades? and drop the quality fuel in at BP then the junk at Costco/supermarkets?
No app that I know of is specifically for ADR. They are offered on the CX provided you have a valid licence they will appear on your feed as they become available
