Confidence and desperation. The same way there's the trope of the guy that desperately keeps turning the key to turn the car engine on, he kept making jokes, seeing people smiling but not laughing at all.
Lmao! I loved your reaction! It’s priceless. No human can recover from such awkwardness. I was cringing from the awkward ambience 🙂↕️ I can’t imagine the feeling in person
You handled it like a champ. This goes down with Streeter's set when they pulled the same trick at CollegeHumor, absolutely a bizarro world thing to experience in the moment I bet.
that ain't being introverted that's social anxiety, the outcome is the same, you are not really social but introverts aren't social because they don't want to while people with social anxiety aren't social because they are scared they might screw up
Except it actually has happened to me before. I try to relate to the topic by talking and now I just have the group staring at me and have silence before they start speaking again. Then I'm quietly thinking "oh yea, that's why I stay quiet."
Nah Fr. I really enjoyed the video and like the channel, but man...THIS WAS EVIL. Like I'm pretty sure Lew is confident enough to overcome it eventually, but you know this hurt him worse than a burning coal ever could.
@@panzer2681yeah i don't know any of these guys but i don't understand how none of them listening backstage had the empathy to be like "hey yo that's enough we should stop" after like a couple minutes
Jesus Christ wants a personal relationship with you through the Holy Spirit, not religion and blind faith. You see, we all have sinned and deserve punishment but God saved us from the eternal punishment of our sins by sending His Son Jesus Christ, fullness of God bodily, a perfect, sinless sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sins by shedding His blood on the cross. He died and rose from the dead so that we may have everlasting life. It is all finished and now for you to accept the free gift of grace you must believe from your heart in Jesus Christ, that He paid the price for your sins, that He is risen and alive. Don't trust in your own goodness but transfer your trust to Jesus and follow Him, get to know Him personally. By faith you will receive the Holy Spirit, become born again, know Jesus personally and He will transform your heart and clean you from the inside out. Believe in Him, read the Bible and pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you and change you, obey the Word. Much love and God bless you!
I don't understand how he had so much confidence and stage presence that even in a COMPLETELY SILENT room it still didn't feel like he bombed in my opinion. Crazy.
i mean the audience is paid to perform to lewis, lewis is paid to perform to the audience staging it is going the extra effort to tell lewis, which is more effort, if only marginally
@@Eu125bonilla Some people snickered a bit because they were holding back a laugh but the one that really "ruined it" was the woman who was singled out, but she would have had to pretend to be rude or in a bad mood or something in that situation to not laugh and it was an unexpected move.
That was incredible. Some people lose confidence after a couple jokes don’t land. Nothing landed for this guy and he played it off as if he was on fire the whole time. Absolute confidence
@@zarrowthehorse, he in fact DID NOT catch onto the the fact that his friends were pranking him. Lewis on his RU-vid channel uploaded a reaction/"director's commentary" video on the 18th of April discussing how he felt during the prank. Said video is titled 'I Got Pranked By A Fake Audience', and the RU-vid video ID (due to links being blacklisted on RU-vid comments) is gVXyZvenQec.
Now here's the most beautiful love story: Me and you? Though we have fallen short of the glory of God by comitting just one sin which we deserve death and hell for, the Good News is that God loved us so much that He, All-Powerful and All-Knowing Spirit came to earth in a human body as Jesus Christ, the fullness of God bodily, to live a perfect life keeping and fulfilling all laws and commandments, not sinning ONCE, and then sacrificing Himself on a cross for YOU! By shedding His Blood, He paid the penalty for your sin so that you could be washed clean from all sins and develop a personal relationship with God and spend eternity together with Him in Heaven. How awesome is that?! That's God's grace. All you have to do to accept His gift of grace is believe from your heart that Jesus is God, He shed His precious Blood for you and He is risen from the dead, He's in full control of your life that He rules over you. Don't trust in your own goodness but fully trust in Jesus and follow Him. It's not by works or being a good person, it's only by God's grace through faith in Him. Jesus desires a personal relationship with you. Much love and God bless you!
thought the exact same thing. they were all so low-hanging and predictable. edgy humor just isn't funny when it's the same old thing every 12-year-old has parroted at least once. so haha funny, the punchline is "I'm black/I'm not black"
Dude I just thought of an another variation of this prank while watching this. 7:30 imagine if everyone doesn't laugh at the actual comedian but laughs at some random guys comments from the crowd 🤣
The worst is when they are yelling or scolding you for laughing and you try to stop but the reminder of whatever it was that you were laughing at just keeps coming back and you can’t stop laughing
@@montserratmarroquin400 I laughed in front of my class when my teacher scolded me. She even asked what's the joke so we all can laugh. That made me laugh even more. What an embarrassing day 😅
Not funny I didn't laugh. Your joke is so bad I would have preferred the joke went over my head and you gave up re-telling me the joke. To be honest this is a horrid attempt at trying to get a laugh out of me. Not a chuckle, not a hehe, not even a subtle burst of air out of my esophagus. Science says before you laugh your brain preps your face muscles but I didn't even feel the slightest twitch. 0/10 this joke is so bad I cannot believe anyone legally allowed you to be creative at all. The amount of brain power you must have put into that joke has the potential to power every house on Earth. Get a personality and learn how to make jokes, read a book. I'm not saying this to be funny I genuinely mean it on how this is just bottom barrel embarrassment at comedy. You've single handedly killed humor and every comedic act on the planet. I'm so disappointed that society has failed as a whole in being able to teach you how to be funny. Honestly if I put in all my power and time to try and make your joke funny it would require Einstein himself to build a device to strap me into so I can be connected to the energy of a billion stars to do it, and even then all that joke would get from people is a subtle scuff. You're lucky I still have the slightest of empathy for you after telling that joke otherwise I would have committed every w4r crime in the book just to prevent you from attempting any humor ever again. We should put that joke in text books so future generations can be wary of becoming such an absolute comedic failure. Im disappointed, hurt, and outright offended that my precious time has been wasted in my brain understanding that joke. In the time that took I was planning on helping kids who have been orphaned, but because of that you've waisted my time explaining the obscene integrity of your terrible attempt at comedy. I hope you're happy with what you have done and I truly hope you can move on and learn from this p1ss poor attempt
Watching a few people trying so hard not to break lmaoooo he handled it so well too, the "I'm just gonna finish the rest of this set as a conversation between me and Sally" was GOLD 🤣😂
Even though the crowd is dead silent, he heeps getting funnier, the level of confidence it takes is really amazing. Props to this guy, truly funny asf lol
You could see people struggle trying not to laugh. There was one dude looking down covering his face at the beginning, lol. Also the woman who was singled out couldn't hide it, lol.
he had the same expression UNTIL the dude made a joke about black people playing basketball and having a black kid since he was tall lmaoo he was crackin a smile then fr
Imagine if the comedian they trolled is a stranger, like someone they dont know, like preferably a new comedian, imagine how they feel after going home 💀
8:06 I like when Everyone is quiet but you hear someone dying of Laughter at the Back 🤣 Reminds me like he's the Teacher and us at the Back Being Students 😂
the way the audience held back their laughter was very good. they couldn't help but listen to the great joke. the comedian handles the situation very carefully and wisely. if he was me i would probably run away from there real quick pretending i never came there hahaha
You can tell how good of a comedian he is because he really killed it even after the shame of like 3 jokes not landing. Went off routine and was still making people laugh trying their hardest not to. Tons of charisma there
So freaking mean. lol He actually did great in that situation, I wouldve left crying hahaha, loved when he just kept talking to the only lady laughing. Might as well keep making her laugh. lol
I think in that situation as a comedian, you would have to click into challenge mode and try everything to get them to break 😂, he almost had a few of them. Well done.
You know you’re a good comedian when people have to fight to keep from laughing! Especially towards the end, the front row couldn’t take it anymore 😂😂😂
This actually showcased that guy spears talent! I started laughing genuinely at his jokes of bombing rather than at him thinking he was bombing. Brilliant 😂
@@Sentient-potato its not insult comedy, and they weren’t racist. Racist is when you hate people because of their race. I appreciate stereotype-based comedy, they don’t necessarily need to be race-based it can have to do with gender, nationality, religion, etc. As long as they’re jokes and not downright insults.
@@redbrixanimations stereotype based comedy is insult comedy. I never said it couldn’t be funny. I personally think that it’s racist… not saying it is (but maybe implying it because it’s my personal opinion)
