& U knew this one friend for a long time!! try to be a business person! a good bad guy will turn everyone against U, then ask how much to fix the fender bender & Tbone! and this can be a male or female driver! but ain't this the oldest trick in the book! yup! skilled labor & competency is the thing! it's always there in black N white. even if there bad 2 da bone...accounting is just way, way to tight today! know U'r place! yup! some helpful advice.. good stuff to think about! reminds me of a football moto! my Dad was big into managing. I watched him spend 20yrs, then 15 more. doing just that. only to build something unimaginably giant. like suppling most of the entire Nation. then just selling it all off. thinking he has built a solid foundation! it's such a crazy line of existence all over the entire world. folks just trying to survive & get moving, building on a life! minus the evasive species! complications are good for nothing except being a competent pocket watch! Man will get through this, one day! oh geez!
Never fall for the Trucker Todd YT "spot market" or Trucking Together "small fleet" BS. There is not enough spread for a "contractor" to hire employees, they can hardly make it as a single truck operation. Go to work for a good company as a company driver w/ good pay and benefits and you come out far ahead of being an O/O or small fleet owner.
Building a fleet takes a lot of time and everyone seems to think that they can just shortcut the process and the freight will be there. Some people get lucky, most don't.
