Very eloquent playing of a memorable piece by Sato. His pieces deserve greater exposure and are a wonderful resource for students. Sometimes I think that much of the standard repertoire, however expertly written, is cluttered up with far too many notes which sound impressive but do not linger in the memory. Sato's writing is simple, direct and often very beautiful.
I love your new guitar, I love this music and I love your playing. To my ears the tone of your guitar is absolutely beautiful. I am thrilled that you will be posting more music played on this lovely classical guitar.
It's truly beautiful, Daria: can't think of a better way to start autumn. Didn't know the song but I'll look it up. Your playing style is fantastic, as always
Hello Daria! Such a beautiful piece! I agree it sets a perfect mood for Autumn. Your playing is always incredible and your new guitar sounds divine! Enjoy! All the best!
I like it very much, most beautiful. Could you help me to find scores of the music of Hirokazu Sato? Many thanks in advance, and please could you play more of him and Japanese composers and tunes? Super.
You sounds very much like Hirokazu Sato! He sounded great but unfortunately past away. Surprisingly your right hand thumb`s playing angle is very much like him.though He used to say "it is not recommended." But he was a genius. Composed songs very easily like a child paint just for fun even no guitar.
Thank you so much! Hirokazu Sato is one of my favorite composers. His early passing is a great loss to the world of the guitar. I hope one day to record an album dedicated solely to Hirokazu Sato's music. As for thumb, it's interesting! Actually, that's just how my thumb naturally works (I heard from an orthopedic surgeon that not all hands are exactly the same and some minor anatomical features may be different from person to person). Thank you for sharing your memories, it was delightful to read!
