To mark the much anticipated launch of season 2 of BBC One’s His Dark Materials, show creators, producer JANE TRANTER and writer JACK THORNE, take us on a journey into new worlds with principal cast DAFNE KEEN (Lyra), AMIR WILSON (Will), ARIYON BAKARE (Lord Boreal) and SIMONE KIRBY (Mary Malone).
This critically acclaimed adaptation of Philip Pullman’s much loved novels is based on The Subtle Knife and continues the story of Lyra Belacqua, who, distraught over the death of her best friend, follows Lord Asriel into the unknown after he opens a bridge to a new world. We find Lyra in the strange world of Cittàgazze, where she meets Will who is also running from a troubled past.
His Dark Materials begins on BBC One on Sunday 8th November at 20:10.
