This was really helpful!! I I honestly think you’re the #1 rehab guy on RU-vid, I’ve done them all but you’re concise, clear and undramatic. I’ve spent 5 years rehabbing from partial SCI and your videos have really changed my life, particularly the ribcage stacking exercises. My PT also loves you and when I visit her, she asks me “which Connor Harris video are we doing this week?” 😂 Thank you for everything !!!

This is the best video you have ever produced. Taking an actual client and exploring both the range of motion testing and the subsequent exercise solutions that moved the client to a programmed solution. Excellent.

@@conorharris Hi Conor. Would you recommend any practitioners in the uk with an approach like yours (I.e deep biomedical diagnostics, and creating a bespoke rehab programme to precision target the issues)?

Do you have a secondary video addressing the same rotation issue, but caused by feet that are flat?

In the same boat here also. He was describing my issues to a tee until he mentioned the high arches. I present with extreme duck foot stance, hips in extension and externally rotated, and all my shoes are super worn out on the outer edge I’m assuming from over supination. BUT I have next to no arch so….back to the drawing board lol.

@@snwboardr9876have you considered that your feet are only flat because your tibia is internally rotated to compensate for a risen arch? This was my issue.

Hi Conor, I hope you’re well. I haven’t finished watching the video just yet but i just wanted to say, I’m 22 years old and i can’t lie i don’t remember a day where i woke up feeling good. I have had many problems throughout my entire life, the earliest memory i do have is being around 10/11 years old i’d have what i thought was foot cramps every night without fail. ( i’m not too sure if this was the beginning of what’s happening to me now but yeah ) Long story short for years now after having a pretty serious knee injury when i was about 18 i wake up feeling like i can’t move my back, only seems to be getting worse. All i’m really trying to figure out is where it all started and how i can fix everything bit by bit without rushing. I do just wanna say as well before people come at me about not going to the doctors, i grew up in an environment where people just got on with anything no matter the problem mentally or physically. Any help is much appreciated!

Awesome video, I’ve been having the high arch issue on my right foot and have had hip pain on that side and knee pain on my left. I naturally do a lot of my squat movements with toes out and realized my right ankle is collapsed outwards.

This video is great information. I have always been hyper-aware of this "duck foot" with my own cadence. I have always felt the negative consequences & have only been able to correct it through regularly jogging, which I have done minimally throughout my 40 years of on/off training. Stretch every day to accommodate your posture & form to function cadence is the best approach to success. I am currently fighting knee & lower back demons which I know will be corrected with focus on these exercises and my posture. Thank you

It took several years of treatment at the VA and tons of money out of pocket for treatments outside the VA, before new acupuncturist mirrored what you said. In acupuncture, she said they call the feet the second heart due to the fact they have such power over your entire body.

This is where I think PRI and Anatomy in Motion come together really nicely. When someone loses their neutrality because of the way the foot is interacting with the floor then I go to the Anatomy in Motion techniques to determine what movements are missing in each joint in the feet, what the brain needs to experience to allow for an actual complete pronation or supination and teach them to sense the entire body pronating or supinating with those improved foot movements. I have yet to have someone come through the door who has good pronation and supination on both feet while maintaining a good tripod under each foot. Doesn't matter if they're a life long dancer, yogi, athlete, dog walker, desk worker, runner, stay at home mom, barefoot enthusiast etc. We are all patterned and the feet are no exception.

Awesome video! I think this is me to a t. Obviously testing is the only true way, but when I stand on my feet shoulder width apart, and I kick myself in the butt with my feet, my left foot goes back fine and straight but my right foot literally has my toes flail right and my heel is inwards. That’s indicating the right torsion there of the tibia? Thanks

I have cavus feet. Borderline deformity status (thanks DAD). While my feet rarely hurt, my ankles, knees, hips, back, neck and shoulder kill me. Im a really tall guy but my feet are so scrunched up i wear a smaller shoe than you'd expect. My right foot is only a 9.5 and my left is a 10.5... since 11.5s are rare, i was wearing 12s most of my life just for the width! Recently, i went down a full shoe size but also went up to a wide width, and i also use the Dr scholls footbeds designed for "overweight" people, although i am at a healthy weight myself. Ive had dozens of doctors overlook my feet, cut my hips open, recommend back surgery... Why, after 25 years of suffering, has a doctor only now looked at my feet? It did take me over 2yrs to get an appointment though... Only got in because the foot doctor is partnered with my hip surgeon. Dont get a surgery just because that doctor is easier to get in with and you got his opinion first before seeing a foot doctor.
