Actually Kihyun always wanted to have a rock solo. It’s his favorite music genre and Voyager is just so KIHYUN!!! He also did a lot of pop rock covers like Bad, Little Bit Of Love or Beliver and Natural from Imagine Dragons. He’s such an amazing vocalist tho. Btw since you enjoy rock so much I would also recommend you to check out Jooheons song Smoky, it’s a bit emotional but such a freakin masterpiece!!!!!

Loved your reaction! You’ve barely scratched the surface of the bangers that are in Monsta X’s discography! Definitely check out the two b-sides that are part of the Voyager album. Rain is my personal favorite because while voyager is fun and catchy, I feel Rain really shows off the glorious instrument that is Kihyun’s voice even more! Comma is also wonderful with heartfelt lyrics that he wrote himself. Voyager is really a wonderful album with each song showing off a different aspect of his voice. If you liked the rock vibe of Voyager I think you will enjoy his imagine dragons Believer cover. In regards to your next MX song, I don’t think you’ve listened to One Day yet which is their latest English MV release. Both of their English albums are seriously no skip works of art. For their Korean songs you definitely need to watch Shoot Out and Alligator MV’s at some point but you really can’t go wrong with anything you pick! The meaning behind the lyrics/MV are actually deep tho. The story is about how he felt he was losing himself and his passion for music while getting caught up and bogged down in the work, celebrity, and tabloids (both negative and positive) that inevitably follow you if you achieve any kind of success in the industry. Voyager is about rediscovering his love and passion for his craft, while beginning a new journey of self discovery.

Loving this MX journey with you. MX is the perfect group for you then, since you like EDM and rap. They're the kpop epitome of edm, "noise" music, especially their earlier albums.
