You are honestly the best tech reviewer on youtube. straight, to the point, not dumbed down, and you don't put on a personality. this is VERY helpful.... it's a shame that most tech reviewers are just the exact opposite of all this
You are THE MAN! Bought the Hisense A6H 43 at Costco. Setting it up with Spectrum cable and Roku was literally a breeze. I’m no techy, your videos have been the most comprehensible and useful I’ve viewed and I’ve viewed a lot. My hearing isn’t that great but both my wife and I don’t need a sound bar with this TV. Thanks again…
I'm really impressed with the effort you put into this video. You went way more in depth than I expected. I was on the fence about this TV, but after watching your review I'm sold on it. Well done, and thank you!!
Pretty impressive picture quality and features for a budget TV! I’ve been researching nonstop since buying a ps5 for a gaming TV below $600 and this one might fit the bill. I really liked the picture quality of the Samsung AU8000 but this might be a better option. Great video!
This review influenced me to some degree. Big Samsung and LG fan with ownership, but my wife picked up a small Hisense for her office, and I was impressed with the picture quality. Not too many features for $99, but wow! I just purchased the 50 inch A6H. It is more than great. I'll leave it right there. I wanted to find the K model, but the H is outstanding. All the specs and gee wiz stuff has its place, but seeing is believing. I was a name brand guy, but no more. For the price, this thing is fantastic to my ears and eyes. I am sure a ULED and QLED might edge this out, but maybe a few years down the road before I invest. My experience.
Just bought this, wasn't even sure what i was buying, just wanted something that was affordable, looked good and helped game. came to check reviews and im glad i found a gem of a tv and a gem of a reviewer. Thanks for validating my purchase lol
You're such a life saver 😭😭 spent a whole day in the stores not being able to decide just by looking at the boxes and going thru ur videos and its helped me understand which ones i definitely wont like versus which fits my criteria s 😢 thank you tech angel on youtube 🙏 I felt so overwhelmed at the stores especially when they kept showing me things i really wasnt interested in 🎉 U are our hero🎉
This is the best video that I found in RU-vid about this tv, i needed to search in English because in spanish there isn’t a good video, greetings from Mexico :)
Thanks to you, I finally chose and bought this tv as my first bedroom's TV, I'm really thankful for ur accurate and objective content! I feel happy with my decision and now I have a great tv thanks to you!
@@joseykachiza3466 Greetings... Obviously it's not a Samsung Crystal Clear, you have to be conscious you're buying a low gamma TV, but it works very very well to me... I've had not any problem yet with it, it's image is excellently good for it's price, and has a fast response to the control, I bought a sound bar cause evidently the sound can be kinda poor for demanding tastes, may be the only one complaining about it could be that "Sometimes" it disconnected itself from WiFi when it's in stand by mode, but it gets immediately re connection when you turn it on again (this situation is bothering when you use voice commands to turn it on through Google assistant cause it says the TV is not available so you have to turn it up manually) but in whole experience, I can recommend this TV, I like it very much...
Thank you so much for your informative review of this TV. I just bought this 50" model for my bedroom (and in the future, PS5 setup). I looked on RU-vid for reviews and absolutely couldn't find a decent full review. I'm so glad I came across your video and am going to be so happy with this tv. Also, I am looking in the future to get the U variant of Hisense for the living room. 😊 Sent Thanks to you as well and new subscriber.
I have been using a 42" Toshiba that only goes up to 1080p for the past 10 years or so. I was able to buy a 50" Hisense A6H from Target for $179.99 on Black Friday this year. For a budget TV, it seems like it'll be a massive upgrade for me.
@@joseykachiza3466 the tv works just fine, no issues with it so far. There's a little lag with the remote, but other than that, no complaints. Especially when you consider the price point
Great job Steve! Just bought this model for a friend and she loves it! I will share the video so she can take advantage of the great tips and features!👍🏽
My new favorite review channel 🥇 Re: the A6H - forewarned of potential Hisense QA issues but on a very tight budget I gambled $220 on the 43" and I don't regret it. The backlight and local dimming issues are real as are occasional UI lags. Still a big usability improvement from my previous Vizio v405-g9 (2019), which despite many firmware updates never worked right with Google Home, needed frequent hard restarts, and had a crap Android app which got worse with every update. The Vizio's slightly better backlight is not worth the usability problems. After fiddling with the settings on the A6H the picture is fine for the space it's installed in, which is not exactly the home theater of my aspirations 😂 as for potential quality issues neither my brightest flashlight nor standard screen diagnostics reveal any glaring manufacturing issues. Perhaps I got lucky? Safe gamble, and it paid off. I think I've even seen the A6H for as low as $200 for limited promotions.
Thanks for the comment, everything I’m seeing Hisense has been stepping up the game a ton over the last few years, i have a feeling that they will 2 or 3 ranked in the up and coming years. Quality control will come along with that. Some on the top companies aren’t giving you the features of Hisense so we will see how it plays out
Very informative review, Steve. I have returned two of these immediately due to light leak, a missing LED row and a black blotch in the upper left. Scrutinize those panels, IMO. I recommend running color etc tests as soon as you get it home (within return window). I love this TV though. My third one is looking much better, fingers crossed. Impressive TV image for sub $300!
Speaker are pretty important, external one are great, especially when it comes to dialogue... External speakers drive the warm and richness of speech of the movie. My humble Aiwa 24 " TV don't have mids settings, I cannot push the dialogue forward. I love it if can push the movie dialogue pop at your face. Highly recommended get external speakers
Hey Tech Steve, nice video. I would like to suggest one thing in your tv reviews though. When sowing picture quality, you present most of what is shown like at Best Buy/Target/Walmart display videos. They show flowers, turtles, ocean, a person sitting still or "slow motion" football player. That's CRAP! Our eyes are pre-tuned to natural HUMAN movement! A person walking, jogging or a baseball player running the bases! We can tell quickly if that motion is smooth...or being impeded digitally...by noticing blur, jagged edges where our eyes expect smoothness and roundness! Watching the a runner, does the body comes down smoothly and back up...or is there a sudden/missing skip to the motion! How often does on sit and stare at a butterfly or grass growing? And not that "quick" 1/10th of a second "cut" and scene switching like in promos of the stores! Scenes with ONE CAMERA showing one a person moving swiftly for 3-5 seconds! Just a thought, since I was looking for it in the videos while researching TVs for black Friday, but didn't see any examples.
@@joseykachiza3466 it's a great tv. Picked up a 65 and 55 inch and tbh I'm shocked. It is way better than my old Roku TV and it has better specs than most Samsungs for cheaper price
Thanks Steve... This is one of the best tech presentation which is I saw in RU-vid... After this review I want to buy Hisense 43A6H😊... Thanks for informative review mate... Keep going on...
I got this tv in 65" back in august from amazon. I love it. Looks amazing, the tv speakers are actually pretty decent alone. I ordered another but 75" for christmas
Great video. Thanks Steve. I was thinking of getting g this tv and while I’m going to look at other options you more or less sold me with this solid review. Thanks
TV speakers sound like AS_! I have an old Cambridge Soundworks 5" sub/sat system that can power real bookshelves. So I've hooked up some old Realistic Minimus 7 (RCA versions) to the sub module which is almost desktop-size and even this minimal system sounds WAY better than ANY internal TV speakers. And, it also sounds better than MOST budget soundbars? Total cost? $7 for the bass module at a salvage store/used and probably about $45 or so for a pair of Realistic speakers in the early 2000s (those small aluminum clad bricks with the 4" and 1" dome drivers based on a famous German design) on 50% sale. So $52, lol. Soundbars beware! Nice review the A6H is a good budget set but if you want Hisense's best, and why not. Go with the 8H. Yeah it's a few hundred more but it competes with that next tier LG, Samsung and Sony group that costs much much more!
@@TechSteve that it is Steve, however it such a foolery when brands advertise motion smoothing (240) versus refresh rate. I liked my Sharp Aquos where true 120 motion refresh was the bomb. However I'm hoping the U6H has an alternative which I haven't seen in the future adds Roku instead of the other mediocre models.
Hi Steve Great review of the 2 sets. I have 2x Different TV's in mind currently on sale which the A6H is one of them. Samsung AU7000 (43") 2021 Vs Hisense A6H (43") 2022 Both for the exact same price! However The AU7000 is slightly different than the US market's TU7000 i see you have reviewed. The AU7000 that we get in South Africa comes with the Motion exelerator gaming function, screen is slightly brighter than the "TU" & comes with the Samsung "one remote" + has 3x HDMI inputs instead of 2 of the TU series. What would your advice be between the Samsung AU7000 2021 or Hisense A6H 2022? Mostly going to use it for PS5 gaming at close distance (Desk Setup) & occasional Netflix
How do you change to a specific channel without the keypad on the remote? By using Google voice? Does it remember the last viewed channel after power off?
TS, enjoy your channel very informative. A suggestion: Regarding the A6H (which I purchased but have not unboxed …), would it be possible for you to review Digital audio out (specs state DTS: Virtual..) and how this would sound on a 5.1 sound bar ( subwoofer and satellite speakers) … we have the A6G model which had Dolby Plus as an option and the inexpensive Vizio 5.1 is fantastic! This would really enhance your reviews!
Hello Steve! thanks for your amazing review. After watching your video I decided to settle for the A6H and it arrived a few days ago but mine didn't come with Google TV but instead came with the Hisense VIDAA. Should I be worried? Also, the settings displayed here and some features are quite different from that in your video
Mine too , everything is on Home-Eco mode and brightness is low and when I tried to trun that OFF turning Store Mode i got warning for warranty... I could get better TV for 100$ more . PS5 is doesn't look good no matter what i do but what is more wrong is HDMI in specs it is 2.1 but I'm reality it's 2.0 ECT.
Great and detailed review Steve. Thank you for your service. A question. Can this TV be used outdoor in a covered deck, which does not get any sunlight and located behind wall over a fireplace?
I got mine a week ago. $429 at Costco for a 65’ tv, how can you go wrong? Sound is not great but I always use a sound bar. so who cares? I just can’t justify spending an extra $1000- $1500 more for the higher end TVs. For me it was a no brainer. Good review, thanks for confirming what I I pretty much knew already. Final thought, if something goes wrong with this tv, at this price point, I would not mind having to replace it in a few years, but I doubt that I will have to.
@@civicsocialclub Hi. So far very pleased. I definitely can say that I have no regrets and some family members come over and compliment the TV. It looks great.
@@Bulldog44s thank you for the response. My Vizio recently died after only 5 yrs so I'm a bit skeptical about new brand's reputation vs. well-known brands.
Costco have this at $399 now for their black Friday sale. I'm comparing this with a Samsung 58" TU700D series @ $379. I've always been satisfied with Samsung tvs I've purchased. No experience with Hisense. So, a little hesitant. For $40 more, I'm really tempted. Costco have a great return policy though. How is your experience so far?
got it for a gaming room. 70 inch a6h model . some times it has a frame "jump" during gaming on call of duty, but i enjoy playing in it ! . input lag is way better than my 75H6570G that i have in the living room ! .....
I actually just purchased this exact TV a week ago,. Being delivered this Saturday. I also purchased the Sony X80j in the 50". Love it , hope I have the same thoughts on the Hisense!💯
the funny thing I noticed on this review is when you enabled the VRR workaround and selected gamezone after it showed VRR was off. So is this just an activation glitch/bypass or are we getting true VRR enabled
Most reviewers just do 55 inches or 65 inches . If want a bigger size. U need a another review for that size. Bigger size like 75 inches or 85 inches . Are usually 120 hz refresh rate.
Get the cheapest Samsung television when it’s on special and you’ll get a great tv. Never pay full price and don’t worry about qled. You don’t need it.
Hi there currently in my country, South Africa, the 75" U7G costs 33% more than the 75" A6H. Which one would would you go for? I am assuming the U7G is better even though its 1 year older? I am just wondering if it is worth it to spend the extra 33%. We have the Vidaa versions. Our U7G is 60hz peak brightness of 700nits. Other options I have in the same price range is Samsung 75" AU7000, LG 75" UP7550, LG 75" Nano75vpa, Skyworth 75" SUC9300, Hisense 65" U8G , samsung 75" AU8000
$349 at Costco thru Oct 22, 2022. This new low price basically renders it "disposable". It's a no-brainer. GET IT!! By the way the 65" U75H is $779 usd also at COSTCO. I'll pass on that, no way I'm paying more than twice the price. It's definitely not twice a good, oh well...
Hi Tech Steve! I am a huge fan of your channel! I know this might be going backwards but would you be able to do a review of the 2021 Toshiba C350 budget tv? I am wondering if I made the right decision buying this tv for my parents in 2023 ... tv has not yet been unboxed, but price was hard to beat at Best Buy...lol thnx
I just purchased this model earlier this month. Best Buy had it originally for $1,300.00 but was selling it for $619.00 dollars. I bought it on Amazon for $618.00 dollars. The box and the television arrived in perfect condition. It’s funny days later both Best Buy and Amazon raised the price. From what I can see and hear the picture is fantastic and the sound is really great. Much better then I expected. But maybe because it’s set up in a very small room so the sound seems loud. I actually had to lower the volume number to a lower number to make the volume right. I change it according to different types of shows. The bezel is very thin. Almost all screen across. The good thing this model was so well packed. It had protection on each side so you can grip the sides. It also had plastic covering the whole 75 inches that was really stuck to the screen but it peeled right off nicely. When i finally got the set in place the screen was absolutely flawless with no fingerprints on the sides. Also I really like how this model allowed a wide and narrower placement for the legs. I chose the narrow position because my desk stand is 41 inches long and easily handled the the narrower placement of the legs of the set. My desk can support 100 pounds which easily handles the weight of this model. I like the new version of the remote with no numbers on it and voice control. I need to enable Bluetooth to use voice control. Overall I really liked the picture and sound. The question is will it last. I hope so. Great television especially for the price I payed.
@@stancooper60. I bought the 75 inch model for $618.00 on Amazon. They raised the price already. You mean your talking about the 65 inch one for $399.00 dollars. It’s still a great deal. I had a Sony 65 inch and going to a 75 inch one is a big difference in picture and sound.
Hi Steve, enjoy your very informative shows! I bought one of these in a 50" for the dining room. I had a Google Home speaker which I linked via bluetooth. The sound quality is greatly improved! I have lost my hearing in the right ear so stereo isn't a concern. I was thinking of buying another Google Home speaker as I need all the help I can get, and they sound very good for their size. My question is: do you know if the TV would support both speakers simultaneously via bluetooth? Thanks, Rich
Awesome review, I was wondering what app store does this TV use? I have an older Hisense that doesn't support the RU-vidTV app, and I was wondering if this one does!
I got this tv but mostly on white backgrounds I can see some circular lines behind. I don’t know if it’s normal. When the images are darker I don’t see it much.
Some say 100 you want confirmed its 100ghz cheap TVs 60ghz some can be o/clocked 85ghz but haven't seen much difference Using a tv on a PC NVIDIA Samsung 50" 4k 100ghz an extra $400 just watching movies youtube buy cheaper up to your budget Bluetooth WIFI remote
Hello great review.i would like to know for multipurpose use (gaming ,a regular day to day watching ) i can afford either should i go for a6h or lg nano80 ?
Thank you for the reviews of this Hisense model. By any chance did you take a look at upscaling on the A6H? We have a lot of DVD's and Blu-Ray disks and wondered how they might look on the A6H.
I didn’t test upscaling, to be honest on only streaming content. I would invest in a 4K HD Blu-Ray or a newer gaming console with the 4K Player built in. It has the native output and will play your old disc
Thank you for a great Vid Steve. I watched your video on the 2020 Hisense 58" R6 as well. Its July 2022 now Walmart selling the 58" under 300$ and Amazon/Best Buy selling the 2022 A6H at 319$. I am debating which to buy ? Important to me is the picture quality & sound. We do not watch too much TV beside movies and news. We don't use TV games. Assuming the 20$ difference is not a concern do you think we shall choose the 55" 2022 A6H or the 2020 58" R6 ?
Bought this TV recently. I really do love it. My only thing is that when I play on the playstation, the color washes out then comes back and it only does it when I'm playing on the playstation. Gets annoying while playing. Still don't know if it is the TV or the playstation. Started when I moved the playstation to this TV. Going to have to play with the settings you just showed to see if it works.
hey i see you recommend this TV its pretty tempting, but im in quite the predicament im thinking of getting the U6H instead do you think it would be worth the extra money?
I'm going to order this TV to be wall mounted in our RV, have you heard anything about issues mounting them like this in an RV that gets bounced around on logging rds etc?
Hi there. I got the 55 inch A65H model from Costco 2 weeks ago. I'm loving the picture and audio quality but I'm noticing a sorta distracting humming sound when it's muted or the audio is very low in general. I looked it up and it appears to be the backlight setting (being 100). Any tips to silence or eliminate this humming sound while still getting a great picture? I'm really hoping I don't have to return this TV since I enjoy the picture and sound overall. Plus I bought it while it was $270 and now it's worth $300 over there and I don't want to have to pay the difference since they didn't usually allow straight trade returns and make you buy the product all over again.
@@TechSteve no worries. Thought you might know some tips and tricks with regards to optimal settings. Not sure if I should return it then. Mainly dreading having to take it off the mount then lugging it back to Costco and then having to reinstall my new TV. Oh well I guess.
I bought the 85 inch version and it froze up during its first update 20 minutes after setting up, waited 3 weeks for a new one it came and it lasted 8 months then did same issue. it seems to not like updating in the backround which I done on both sets although the second one I watched the update shortly after purchase and the 3rd update decided to do in backround again and thats when the tv went to restart and would not. it would try to start and just keep turning off and try again. so now the second tv is getting warrenty work which I have waited almost 3 months. good tv except for update issues which I feel should be mentioned to reviewers and buyers.
Hi Steve, great effort you have put in . Please can you advise if this the same model also known as E6H? If not then what are reviews about e6h model . Hope to have your kind response. 🙏
Ok so I got two options. Ethier I can go for the hisense a6h or the Samsung au7000. Both 43 inch. Any recommendations? It's primarily gonna be used for ps5 gaming
Hi Steve....such a great video. I've watched several of your videos and really appreciate the detail. Will this model work work with the Amazon Firestick? Thanks for all the great content!
Hi Steve, thanks to your great video about the A6H Hisense, I ended up getting one and setting it up on my own....not bad for an old lady. Kept your unboxing and set up video going to guide me through and it all went well so thanks so much! The only thing I am annoyed with are the automatic updates. I've been through the settings and can't figure out how to stop them. I prefer to manually check for updates on my own, at a convenient time rather than when I'm sitting down to watch a show.
Great job, I think if you go into the google tv settings and press about you can uncheck auto update but I don’t recommend it. It’s only a hassle when you 1st get it because it’s been sitting in storage
