Hello, Frank and rest of the team, another great video with very valuable information and nice explanation. As you use C100 mk2 do you recommend buying it at this point in time or investing in something newer? Generally it would be used for interview shots and web content, reasons I am interested in C100 mk2 is the internal NDs, XLR input directly to camera, solid auto-focus and face tracking with STM lenses, unlimited recording time and great battery life, plus my storage would need no investing as soon as it would be needed with 4k workflow. Also I think my m50 would be able to keep up well as B cam for C100 mk2. Once again thanks for great videos You make for us all this time.
Yes, highly recommend it for those uses. There's a Cseries FB group that's a great place to get even more info on this awesome camera. As you mentioned, Face tracking does depend on the lens. The 24-105 zoom lens, a standard for any canon kit, has auto focus but not face tracking.
If humans only have a tonal range of 14 stops whats the point of a camera with a tonal range of 17 stops? Would you even be able to really see the difference?
No you can't so the point of a camera with a higher range is to give you flexibility in post. That is you can choose what part of that higher range to show, low or high end or just the middle.
