It is a 30 minute bus ride from Rhens to Boppard. After the the walking in extreme heat debacle yesterday, all travel going forward was going to be bus, train or Rhine steamer with a walking thrown in.
Bopped was once a Roman fort and has a 2,000 year old history. We didn't spend much time in Boppard since we still had onward travel to Bad Salzig today but found time to visit St. Severus Church built in the 12th-13th centuries over Roman baths.
