Historic hangar at former air base in Orange County engulfed in flames 

Gosh I wonder how desired that parcel of land is? Just wondering for a friend.

The north hangar roof has had a massive hole in it for years. Didn't look like there was any money being spent on any repair. But now it's conveniently burnt down. What a coinkydink. 2:14- Sad to see "them" go up in flames? It's just the north hangar. Not both of them

Wooden structure? Why wasn't it protected by a fire suppression system? Especially if they want to preserve it as a registered historic building?

What is the carbon footprint of the fire ? How many ecars are required for a net sum zero. Is there an elephant foot in the basement ?

I've lived in Irvine for 23 years and have a view of Both of these Hangers. They're right across the street from me at The District. This fire is Very Suspicious! Apartment building has become the norm by builders and the destruction of one of these Hangers presents an opportunity for them to build unrestrained. Watch and see Citizens. Watch and see!

Nice; developers couldn't tear it down because of asbestos & historic value so Hawaii might have been a learning moment for "progressive progress" ... 1am ... dollar to a doughnut arson.

More apartments for the city. The builders of Hawaii are also happy... How much would they pay to obtain that juicy business... now they don't care about history because of their thirst and hunger for dollars, they are miserable people, who will rot in hell; with their millions, and families paying expensive monthly fees to please these rogues. What the research says. And those of us who were present saw how the firefighters were fumigating empty areas, and not on the flames. Ridiculous. That they investigate the millionaire builders of California, and that they say that it is the blue project????

I was in the Mariine Corps in the 1960's stationed at El Toro Marine Air base. My BFF, who has since passed away, was stationed at the Mariine Air Facility mentioned here. El Toro was swallowed up by the city of Tustin, and now it's likely to suffer the same fate.
