The art of tombstones and the stories they tell - so underappreciated and deserving of much more attention! Even in small communities the different tombstone styles are an immediate signal of the various people who have lived there and it helps their legacy to live on.

For some reason or another, vaults in graveyards creep me out more than regular gravestones

Do you have any info on the well which I believe was located in the church/graveyard grounds?

That's the St Servanus Well and was once considered a holy well. It's now covered in concrete but stood on the west side of the lower part of the cemetery near the gate. A grave was found near it too. Thank you so much for watching!

@@scotlandshistory I remember looking for it many years ago and finding the concreted over section but not being sure if I’d actually found the well! You’ve inspired me to go back for another look next time I’m over!
