Yes there was something other worldly about Jesus, ive always thought hed have had a strong face with eyes like no other full of compassion & love. I did smile back at him, theres no one like him is there? You just know it when you see his face. No words are needed Im not really all that religious, but when his face materialised i went all " peculiar" in a nice way Thank you All 🇬🇧👧
I didn’t feel this at all! I thought it was creepy and a lot more creepier than most digital recreations I’ve seen. If you didn’t know this was supposed to be Jesus, would you still felt this way? Maybe it’s just me who doesn’t think he’s some ‘son of god’ trying to glorify him and not putting him on that high pedestal that makes me not be so impressed by his presence in the way those who do, do. This honestly doesn’t look anything like the millions of other recreations of him. His nose is too long here and it doesn’t surprise me since they used the Shroud of Turin to make his face here considering he was already dead at that point, meaning his face was not only smooshed in his wrapping, but gravity took over with him laying down making his face appear thinner, longer and lankier than he probably was when he was alive. I feel like because he was Jesus and people hyped him up more than the average person, they’d honestly be disappointed if he wasn’t recreated in a manner where his details weren’t that of a “strong face” and “eyes of no other and full of compassion” (which I honestly didn’t get that vibe here with this one) and this is the reason why they do depict him as such. I’m curious as to when the Bible’s said he looked like in comparison to these physical images make him out to be. He was only supposedly 33 yrs old and that’s not even really that old but so many pictures of him makes him look far more middle aged than that. Someone like Jesus didn’t really live a life of poor health to make him have more wear and tear on his body to make him look older than he should have even for a completely different time period than what we’re at now. When you glorify someone and hype them up to be bigger than what they are, of course you’re going to have expectations that they should meet otherwise they’re going to miss your mark. This one was definitely “peculiar” but not in a good way. The fact that you know he is supposed to be Jesus only makes you think you have all these giddy feelings about it all. It reminds me of a study done on a group of art critics that were made to think the art they were looking at was exquisite and so grand because the gallery doing the experiment put huge price tags on them waiting for their reaction…only to find out that the art was made shortly before by animals throwing around paint! Art like that has significance and meaning behind it because that’s what you labeled it as. The fact that you’re told it’s Jesus makes it that much more ‘exquisite’ for you. To the ones who think he was just a man who taught good lessons in life and did good deed while he was here and was just a good human, nothing more, they’re not hyping that expectation up of what he should have looked like to nearly to the same level. Again, if you didn’t know this was supposed to be him, I highly doubt you’d of given him a second glance let alone had such a deeper feeling about seeing this face. It’s all psychological, really.
Hopefully you’re born again & get to spend eternity w/Him!! He is awesome & loves you ❤ Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Romans 10:9
This is fascinating and the talent it takes to do this is remarkable. It makes you see them as "real" people, not just historical figures in paintings & statues.
I did as well. Even as God made into flesh, Jesus had emotions just like all of us. It still feels weird knowing that the Son of God connected with humans on an emotional level, but at the same time, it’s strangely comforting.
@@AlastorAltruistGaming There's no good evidence the man even existed and if there was a charismatic itinerant first century Rabbi that the anonymous authors of the gospels based their stories on, then there's zero evidence for any of the supernatural claims associated with him. The Turin Shroud is an established fake, it was made in the middle ages so it goes without saying that the Jesus represented here is the invention of some anonymous middle age forger.
I am speechless after watching these recreations. I found it very moving as I sensed the life and soul of all these names I knew of well ( a Bach pianist) all my life and offered us a chance to see how they were when alive, or a glimpse of them as we are now. It was talent, magic and sheer artistry. Thank you 🙌
That’s NOT jesus. The shroud has been tested MANY times, is too recent to be Him. If you want a true depiction of Him, i suggest Akiane’s painting “Prince of Peace.”
Yeshua is the most handsome man that ever lived. His blue eyes are pools of love his teeth shine like a thousand diamonds He is really good. There is none like Him ever. Shalom

The one with Jesus penetrated the deepest depths of my soul . What a beautiful way to end Lent . Lord Jesus Christ son of the living God have mercy on me a sinner 🥺
The Shroud of Turin image is the real image of Jesus after he was instantly dematerialized by Angels in the tomb after the stone was rolled away from the entrance by another angel. The portrait is the closest will ever come to know what Jesus really looked like
@@polmken Yeah you're wrong it's a historical fact that this is Jesus and this is exactly what he looked like . Stop believing ridiculous stories that you here online 😒. Historical facts and even scientific evidence disagrees with you . Stop being so prideful
He had just fasted for 40 days, and was beaten and crucified to death.. Of course he looked nothing like the painting of his likeness in Heaven... Use critical thinking. I think you two are simply arguing over eye color. And I've heard many say that his eyes are like an ocean, with ever changing hues.. Study the Shroud, and prove it a forgery. I invite you:)
@@polmken I understand. What I meant was, after fasting 40 days, Jesus appearance would be very different at the time of his crucifixion, especially in contrast to his resurrected, Heavenly appearance.
The image was made by steam and body oils when Angels instantly dematerialized it to spare the slow decay process. This happened immediately after the stone to the tomb entrance was rolled away by another angel. Being truly the image of Jesus, the portrait is already stunning enough, but the brought to life portrait is mind-blowing!!
Very well done, particularly Antonio Vivaldi, who only has one decent surviving portrait. You gave him life and real Italian beauty. He's probably the greatest of the underappreciated composers, but we're seeing a Renaissance of his works today.
he might not only be the greatest of underappreciated composers, he may be the greatest composer. I think bach, bethoven, G.F. handel, mozart and Vivaldi are all equally the best
What do you mean there’s no evidence? There’s overwhelming evidence for the shroud. How about the fact that it’s a photo negative? And why is there limestone on the feet that’s from Israel on the shroud? Why is there human blood on the shroud? No paint? There’s absolutely no way the shroud could be manufactured and it hasn’t. even with a million dollars on the line if someone does😆 I’m not joking. and it’s been recently tested to be 2000 years old. Don’t right an opinion and be snarky about it if you have no evidence to support it. God bless you💙
Jesus come to life, that's not even a picture of Jesus. Nobody nows how he looked or what day he was truly born, that's somebody's picture from a later century it's all based on theory an deceit to keep the masses contempt

That painting is fan-fiction you know that right. Even if 'Jesus' was a real human being who lived over two millenia ago - Jewish people from that part of the world didn't look anything like that.
¡Impresionante! Muchas gracias por acercarnos la humanidad de tan grandes personajes históricos como Nefertiti, Jesucristo, Vivaldi, Paganini o Tolstoi. " My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..." (Hosea 4:6) " He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces..." ( Isaiah 53:2-3). @@TakeOneSip Yes, He is. All of the ancient people groups indigenous to the Fertile Crescent/Levant of the Near & Middle East were, and still are, Levantine caucasoids who share a genetic kinship - Hebrews, Assyrians, Arabs, Lebanese, etc. These are all caucasoid people groups. This is proven by all ancient forensics, the Bible, all ancient secular recorded history, and by literally thousands of years of area artworks ranging from glyphs to murals, mosaics, portraits, and statuary. A caucasoid is determined by skeletal formation and especially cranial morphology and not a skin tone. There is a beautiful diversity of hair, eye, and complexion shades unique to the caucasoid genome and usually present in all caucasoid populations. That is why some Hebrews have olive/medium complexions and others are very fair and redheaded. King David - the line through which Yeshua ha’Mashiach would be born - was a “fair and ruddy” blonde. Esau and Jacob, genetic twins, were redheaded although Jacob lacked the heavy body hair of his twin. All of the ancient synagogue mosaics unearthed during archaeological excavations from all across the landscape of ancient Israel/Judaea and created by the hands of the ancient Hebrews themselves, reveal an exclusively caucasoid ancient people group.
I don't know how Jesus looks , all I know when I was left alone and broken then I found Jesus and he so far keeps me safe from many thoughts. Because of Jesus I learnt about love and to give up hatred. I'm thankful of Jesus for everything. Even I'm a man of little faith he reduced me from myself many times. Jesus is true savior.
He's probably sad because he is portrayed as being WHITE. When in reality, he really isn't. IF Jesus was real, he was a middle eastern Jew. So no blue eyes. Stop deluding yourself and realize that not everything is what you think and/or want.

@@BrownSkinnedGirl80You're referring to Revelation where it says His hair was white as wool? That sentence describes the colour not the texture. Grammatically it's the same as saying 'green as grass' or 'red as a rose'. The skin isn't described as copper but 'burnished brass'. This isn't a deep gold 'brass' color, it's a glowing white. When brass is burnished it means it's been melted to an extremely high temperature which gives a weird effect of glowing. Basically Jesus was shining and glowing with a bright, white light when He appeared to John. Maybe Jesus was black (even though His ancestors David and Solomon are described as ruddy skinned (pink) with red hair) but there's really nothing in the Bible which identifies His colouring.
It was very touching and thoughtful of you to include Nanyehi. She was beautiful. And even though I am not a Christian, shivers ran down my spine watching the face of Jesus Christ !
Please, read your Bible: I Corinthians 11:14 “Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?" Save your shivers for when you really see Him face to face as the Bible states. "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen." Revelation 1:7

Even the earliest images were created by people long after his death, by artists who had never actually seen the man. Someone just came up with a likely image, which other artists have been copying for centuries. Even now, people see an image with long hair and a beard, usually in a blue cloak with a halo, and they think they recognize "Jesus". No, they don't. And if you put him in ordinary clothing, people would just think it was "some hippie". The "image" on the Shroud of Turin has been debunked many times already. For one thing, if he was WRAPPED in it, the face would be wide and distorted, not like a normal face image that was clearly painted on it. And it's quite wrong to see how he's portrayed in movies, as a pale Nordic-looking guy with straight, light brown hair and blue eyes. For a Nazarene Jew from the 1st Century? Not likely.

The Shroud of Turin, a linen cloth that tradition associates with the crucifixion and burial of Jesus, has undergone numerous scientific tests, the most notable of which is radiocarbon dating, in an attempt to determine the relic's authenticity. In 1988, scientists at three separate laboratories dated samples from the Shroud to a range of 1260-1390 AD, which coincides with the first certain appearance of the shroud in the 1350s and is much later than the burial of Jesus in 30 or 33 AD.[1] Aspects of the 1988 test continue to be debated.[2][3][4] Despite some technical concerns that have been raised about radiocarbon dating of the Shroud,[5][6] no radiocarbon-dating expert has asserted that the dating is unreliable.[7] - Wikipedia
