Hi Mac- Good one for sure! You mentioned the entertainment value received...and I agree. Almost as good a parking near a boat launch to watch folks launch and retrieve their property.
That was great. Wish we had a few thousand of those round-a-bouts in and around the Los Angeles area to keep our wonderful drivers busy so I could finally take my bike out on the freeway without worrying about getting hit.
Hi Mac, thanks for sharing this HISTORIC moment with us! My city has also become fond of round-abouts and has built a number of them over the past few years.
@@GoldRyderOne Sometimes people just go crazy over the latest new thing. For example, I live in the DFW metroplex area, and a few years ago when Crispy Cream Donuts opened a donut shop in Arlington cars lined up a mile long to get in and get a donut. You would have thought that no one had ever seen a donut before. Of course, after a while that calmed down and people moved on to the next new thing. Ride safely, my friend!
Sorry Mac, as I'm originally from England, I can't get too excited about roundabout videos. I think they are a great idea and help keep traffic moving. In England we often have "GIVE WAY" signs rather thank "STOP" signs; again to keep traffic moving. I wish all who circumnavigate the new Clarksville roundabout enjoy the experience, stay safe and look forward to many more roundabouts in Clarksville and all of TN. Long live the roundabout!
@jameshales6958 Thanks, James. I'm not a fan of fixing problems that don't exist. We did not need a roundabout there. But, I thought I would use the entertainment value of the entire experience. People here have lost their minds over this. Too funny.
This thought process could be applied to many so called ideas today. The issue is nobody thinks these ideas through and guess who ends up paying for it.
Hey my friend, thanks for sharing that historic event. I would have loved to see the excitement on the first dat. Well Sir, I am now playing catch up on your videos. After 18 days on the road I am way behind. Have a great week ahead.
Yeah, people around here in Missouri, even though we've had several built already, do not understand the concept of not needing to stop first before entering the circle when there is no traffic to yield.
