When he's outside, you can hear the camera audio 'clicking' as the guy inside is operating the CW key - it obviously radiates so much power it's messing with the camera mic!
There was a sibling radio station of this type before WWII in Warsaw, Poland. It did not survive the war, however. Germans used it to communicate with U-boots and Bletchley Park, of course. When pushed to the west by Soviet Army they just blew everything up. Today there are just some remnants like concrete bases of masts in the forest... I would expect Reginald Aubrey Fessenden name to be mentioned as the one who contracted GE to build an HF alternator, and which Alexanderson struggled for two years to develop and build.
