Crypt was a cool, badass character. I liked how he went around to all the team books and killed them all. His fights vs Blood Strike and Prophet were indeed the best parts!
@@kratoscraken5614 It's too bad Image really only does what I'd describe as artsy, bourgeois coffeehouse comics now. I really liked their extreme superhero stuff back in the day.
This is more a quick Rob rant than a response to your video (which is great btw). I really get tired of all the hate for his art. His art is insane and doesnt make much sense, but thats okay, for the kinds of stories he delivers, its perfectly insane. I get a bit riffed when people go on and on about his proportions, as if comic books are reality, misproportioned bodies can easily be explained away, its a fictional world and who says people have to look like we do? But i shouldnt even need to make that defense, his art works for what he does. This book is great fun, and i cant imagine anyone else doing this art, it just wouldnt be as fun. In short, Robs art is simply fun. Hes not piccaso and i dont want him nor need him to be. I think he gets quite a bit of unfair criticism, and some fair. His big breast cap is not defendable, it was bad. But i can post up plenty of good fun Rob pin ups.
Evil prophet coming from the future & fighting his modern day self? It sounds like cable & stryfe's relationship. Plus, winter soldier's origin story has some similarities too. I guess everything has been done!
At this point, I hope not, because too many movies and series coming out of Hollywood today are garbage and give zero f*cks about the source material or fans who made it great in the first place.
I believe Diehard, in the Brandon reboot, is meant to be what is left of THE ORIGINAL Prophet; it's hinted at repeatedly and the character is a hero through and through.
I'm here because I want to know why he wears those brackets on his face. I know it's because Rob Liefeld thought it looked cool, but is there some practical, canon purpose mentioned within the fictional world of the story?
I really liked the original Prophet back in the day! But when I tried reading the newest one all I could think of was that it looked & felt nothing like the 1st go round.
I don't think they will be doing a movie version of the 20 issues prior to Brandon Graham's Prohet. Although it would be cool to see some of Liefeld ideas introduced.
