Millions were sent, millions were lost, millions were scarred. One death is a tragedy, thousands, are just a statistic. Thousands of soldiers looked death right in the eyes and made a sacrifice for the greater good. Thousands were forgotten, but they pushed us into a world that they couldn't imagine would exist. They died in the dark, so we could live in the light.
Everything that was asked of us - we've done. Every night we lay in a filthy foxhole - prayin' the enemy won't slit our throats. Every day we spent crawling through the mud and the dirt while bullets whistled all around. This is the enemy's last stand. When we take Shuri Castle, we go home. All of us." Sgt roebuck-
just take a second to remember the enemy the allies faced..Nazis and Japs, granted not all wanted to kill or hurt anybody but WW2 was a true “fight for our freedom” war for the allies so they had to kill or be killed. I still respect the Germans and Japanese soldiers who died because they are all men and they shall be remembered for their sacrifices no matter the side. War is hell. People die in war. War never changes.
"human nature is worst than animals" i think that is true considering how much violence we've done in the past hours, days, weeks, months, year, decades and centuries just for creating a place we call home
Nice edit, we are starting to have more real life footage of people in war than all movie footage ever filmed. It would be nice if people were able to get to a most basic human instinct and talk about their issues than lead to 'lets agree to disagree' which politicians use to just go to war!
My great grandfather told my dad this and my dad told me this “war is nothing good it is good men died for rich man who doesn’t care about your family or your life only their money they make from your and your friends and family’s death”
I am a history buff but only because my dad fought for Iraq for 6 years and when he came back he could not sleep for weeks it’s sad to see the men me love and the men we see fight are just people who wanted to make it end people who serviced and loved are just people who saw war and saw it to the beginning and people who died saw it to there very last breath
"War... makes things... Violent, and we are the ones who caused it, us humans... we are... more violent than any other animal." -Me. War... makes us crazy, the adrenaline takes over ourselves, not caring for ourselves because of our adreanline, our focus is on the war. We can't even control ourselves properly, we stress ourselves out, the Madness takes over everyone. The youngsters die first, they fear of death, us humans, fear of death. And what can we do about it? Death... is a part of our lives, either we fight and have a swift death, or we wait... for a slow, sufferable death. Soldiers... get ordered by officers roughly, but the officers care more about their men than their selves. All soldiers think about their home.... their families and their loved ones, Friend or Foe... we're still our own monster, but we still have that, that same human trait that we had in our childhood.... Fear. Our anger.... consumes us as the "enemy"... killed your friend, our friend... the "enemy" that you are about to kill... is just like us, a Human with feelings, that certain enemy is forced to kill by their superiors. Either if it's cruel and cold, or it's a *job* that we have to do. To protect the weak from the strong.
for such violence between man, i pray that no womther shall weap the death of a soldier of her nation ever again god bless every single of these beautiful fucking souls that didnt get to shine, you will not be forgotten, every single one of you men, with families, all sides. it makes me sick. i love you. its rather sickening, very.
@@somerando6399 it will always be that way. I HIGHLY doubt that any nation will stand up and do the right thing. They will always seek something in return. sucks, but what can you do?
