It was dark, late at night Yet the moon did shine bright On the fields, on the hills There were men, who did fight They fought, they died For nations showing off might Was it worth it Was it right Now their war is over They’re called to the light So they may Rest In Peace With not a rifle, shot, or shell in sight (Apologies if this isn’t the best, I’ve never been good at poetry! And this video inspired me a tad.)
As a Greek, Aristotle actually was really wise... I really didn't know the meaning of this phrase but after seeing wuts happening to Ukraine i realized what the meaning really is...
There will always be war, thats the world we live in, thats the way it is, and will stay, gotta stay strong and unite against your foes or the enemy that wish to do the same to you
@@fizrii6877that’s something people don’t understand. They call veterans “mUrdEr’s” and don’t understand that they fought so we can have what we want and so we don’t go out their and suffer like they do!
My great great grandfather fought in WW1. Portuguese soldier in the trenches. My grandfather said that when he came back, he was never the same. War is hell. In the 70s my grandfather would be heading into the Ultramar war, Africa. Today, ive seen former soldiers from opposite sides of war, talking about it, working side by side as brothers... in the past they wouldve killed each other. War turns a man into a beast.
Fury was a upsetting film to me, even though one man might came across as strong enough to pull back tears, I couldn't. It was a very emotional ending.
Hey it could've been worst the Nazi's in that movie could've gained brain cells and could've kill them immediately but since our main characters are wearing plot armor they get the sad ending and not the true ending.
although the ending was a bit far-fetched i think it got across what it was like pretty well, ordinary men, nothing too special having to do heroic deeds for the good of others while living through absolute horror.
"Wars never end, it's has a different name in different countries but everything is the same. All the scream, the tears, the cries, the fear, the terror in the eyes of an soldier, what they've seen, what they've done, what they've heard.Kill or be killed. The land, the sea and the sky won't forget, only the one who lost their lives free from wars" - Some Heroes
"Peace is nothing but a fantasy. A story told to children to give false hope to hold on to. Humanity is *War* . While humanity exists, there will always be *War* ."
All sides of war, in any war, went thru hell to win or lose. In ww1 for example half a million men die for only 1km of land and for whatever else. War is hell even if you still have the best technology, best soldiers and tactics you still go thru hell. Ww2 was hell, fighting on the ground only to see your brothers in arms to be blown up by a mine or bombs or shot up by a machine position, Vietnam war to be only shot at from all directions and to not know where the bullets come from. Death is death, no matter where you go, and us humans are making new and creative ways to only kill our fellow beings for power. It’s horrible But I suppose peace is never an option because the world from the start was always burning.
My great granddad (RIP fly high 🕊️) was a WW2 vet and he was a lieutenant colonel in the liberation of the Netherlands he fought by the side of Canadian war hero Léo Major and survived 3 bullets to the knee and one in his higher back he survived the war while being quite decorated he even saved 20 people from the burning of the monetary factory in Ottawa he was a hero sadly he past away 2006 the same year I was born from lung cancer due to heavy smoking and the bullet still stuck in his left lung not helping ☹️
The world is so hell bent on tearing itself apart what’s the problem with putting a little bit of it back together again - From the movie Hacksaw Ridge One of my favorite quotes from a war movie
Some of us don't know anything else but to fight, to fight for what we think is right, to defend what or who we care for, civilians everywhere on the earth did not ask for war, but we did not ask to get attacked; I'm not saying war is okay, but I'm trying to make people understand soldiers, marines, pilots, etc. They are not the bad guys, they are the ones who gave up everything they loved for you for your country for peace. I don't want to be rude, but this is my point of view. I hope everyone is okay, and I hope that no one needs to go through this. God bless America and all pearsons, animals, nature, etc. 🙏🦅🇺🇸⚓🌎🇺🇳🇺🇦
After seeing Russia invade Ukraine just make me feel like this can happen again hopefully it doesn’t, war is hell and nobody should endure the pain trauma and tears it brings 😕
'we are just a couple of older teenagers sent to war cause of our grandparents arguing' thats what my brother told me before leaving the home his last time
"Wait until you see." "See what?" "What a man can do to another man." Bible was played so fucking well in that movie, Shia really gave us insight into a hurting man. Everyone was on their a-game with acting
"The funny thing about war is that every young man wants to go despite every old man telling him not to." -A Vietnam Vet "The funny thing, Sir........ i know war is hell i will see the devil eyes but if i dont do it who else will, if i hide or be coward ... another man might die" "ideals are peaceful but to achieve them people will die not women, not kids but men, people say the innocent and civilians have it hard but do they? whole group of men become brothers and watch each other die to protect what? ideal? land? freedom? but society treats these men like they're evil the cause of the suffering but its you civilians who are the idealist the people who constantly change morals and society on the whim without thinking"

"War isn't hell. War is war, and hell is hell. And of the two, war is a lot worse." "How do you figure that, Hawkeye?" "Easy, father. Who goes to hell?" "Well, sinners I believe." "Exactly. There are no innocent bystanders in hell. The war is chock full of them. Little kids, cripples, old ladies. In fact, except for the brass, almost everyone involved is an innocent bystander."
@@whitecastlehill9205 Nobody can police the world. Eventually, we'll figure that out, and maybe we'll see some real justice for the people in the less well off nations of the world, since they'll be allowed to determine a course for themselves.

When young people come up with a plan, write speeches to people, and fight themselves, it's called an uprising. Mindless bloodshed for poor results. Historians reprimand, other nations laugh and young people forget.
Wars are hardly ever fought about who is right. However, this is more of a show of strength. Well, unless you think i.e. war of Lithuania with the Teutonic Knights. Then sorry...
@@whitecastlehill9205 in reality wars happened and happen for every reason imaginable. Sometimes desperation for resources, sometimes prejudice, sometimes for conquest, sometimes against oppression, sometimes rightful claims clash with each other. Nothing is black and white.

One day, when my businesses take off and I'm capable, I will direct the greatest 3-part WW2 film the world has ever seen. I'm broke now, so it may take 10, 15, or even 20-years. I hope this video is still around so I can come back to this comment. But now, back to work.
Actually, Russia (or Putins regime) attacked Ukraine on 24th february. I totally agree with the video statement. Now it's not just movie. It becomes very real now.
@@yukonone836 You are right, sorry about that. Gonna correct it. Russians who arent brainwashed are against the war, many feel ashamed of their government and for ex. in my county they are helping refugees and organizing charities for them.

all of the country leaders should have a boxing match to solve everything. because if they dont, they're going to use "us people" to solve their problems.
Nowadays people willingly join the army to fight for there country, to protected and to die for it. They know this but people still join because they want to
This has been recommended to me during the Ukraine and Russian situation, my heart goes out to the Ukrainian and Russian civilians, they didn't ask for this.
dont forget about the soldiers on both sides, neither of them wanted this and are being forced to protect their own country, while i dont agree with what putin is doing you still have to feel sorry for the soldiers

My great grandfather died in WW2 😢😞. I am an Indian and he fought for the British in Malaya then in Burma to save India from the Japanese. He died in an artillery bombardment. He was injured but later had lost a lot of blood. 😞 He was then declared dead when his body was found. I don't know anymore details, because many details about the Indian Soilders is lost till now. Btw he was an officer.
Same I am from Pakistan and my grandfather also fought for British because they asked we will leave India if we won the war and he was captured by the Nazis (Germans) after an air attack and was sent to jail he remained five years in jail and and when aldof Hitler lost the war he was released the British offered him to live in UK but he ignored him.
Don't need to go anywhere far: RU-vid's censorship. Many historical channels (that actually produce quality content) almost got their videos deleted just because they put the swastikas in them. My point is that, with such thing roaming around, history will eventually repeat itself.
Well that's stupid, yep they will learn but in the different that violence and war is part of it and learning and get better and recognize their predecessor like invasion, defend and so on.😑😐
