That bit about Roman Concrete? We never lost the recipe. For years, we tried to make it following the recipe, but it always came out badly. Just a few year ago, one college student gets the bright idea to use water from the Mediterranean, instead of tap water or filtered water or all the others they have tried. It worked perfectly. Solid, Stable, and can set underwater and at a wide range of temperatures. In general, Roman Concrete is better than Modern Concrete. We could even use it for Reinforced Concrete, just by adding metal rebar.
