I hope you enjoyed! I spent 8 months on this video so I hope it was worth the wait! I spent a long time learning new editing software's so that the video can look better than the last 2 episodes. Stay tuned for the next episode!

The speech was much better. Thank you for the improvement. Which editing software do you use now?

@@holgerpellmanncduwallenhor5826 thank you! I’m glad my effort paid off. I’m using CapCut to do the more fancy visual ‘s and an Apple MacBook to edit the more simple parts so that I don’t have to overload CapCut. I also lowered the music volume and got a better microphone to up the sound quality.

I took Amtrak's California Zephyr to Chicago in 2007 just to see the Pioneer Zephyr at the Museum of Science and Industry. So glad it was restored. Loved going through it. Got to see a bit of railroad history.

I am intrigued by these streamlined trains of the past. They were very luxurious and fast. Something that lacks in today’s trains.

You did a nice job showing some of the first non steam powered streamliners. Of them all the Burlington Zephyrs were the most famous. I am glad to hear several were saved. As noted elsewhere there also was the Flying Yankee that ran in the New England states and is also saved and being restored.

My home state Alabama actually had it's own streamliner train set called the Rebel. You should check it out at some point.

Can you do a series on how Australia used some of america's EMD F Units to make the Class B, S and even the CLF and CLP?

That sounds like an interesting idea! Ill have to do some research on it and see if I can make a good video on it

I am kind of at a loss for words as there wasn't any mention of the other Zephyr located in Lincoln NH called the Flying Yankee. The Mark Twain Zephyr is currently being restored at the Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad. Great progress has been made and it looks beautiful.

I forgot to mention that one! I can’t wait to see the mark twain zephyr back on the rails in all its glory though.

Interestingly, EMD startued out doing competing power cars to compete with McKeon's cars. You would think that the PRR's experience that lead them to redesigning their box-cab P-5a locomotives to center-cab P-5a(Modified).

The Chicago Great Western used McKeen cars for a large percentage of their passenger trains. The Boston and Maine also ordered a near duplicate of the Pioneer Zephyr named ‘The Flying Yankee’, which replaced the RPO compartment with additional seating. ‘The Flying Yankee’ is also being restored to operating condition! The Pioneer Zephyr may be seen in the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, Illinois.

Those early streamliners were imported in HO scale brass with excellent models painted to perfection by AHM and Overland Models for the M-10000 and by Challenger imports and Nickel Plate Products for the Zephyrs. I had the AHM M-10000 in 1985. An excellent article on the Union Pacific M-10000 with HO scale drawings appeared in the December 1983 Railroad Model Craftsman.

@@TrainMaster26 eBay has one right now up for bid. It's a 4 car set in the original " City of Salina " paint scheme. It was $495.00 a couple weeks ago and is now $469.00. The paint job on it is perfect. Those kinds of models were done by professional custom painters using air brushes with moisture traps and lettering was done with water slide decals. Probably Champ ( Champion Decal Company ) or Wm. K. Walther's decals. That's why they looked so good. I bought my AHM 4-car M-10000 set in 1985 for $695.00. My AHM set had the later scheme and with the brown shrouded trucks. In 1991 Overland Models imported two different sets. One 3-car set for $900.00. and a 4-car set for $1200.00 and that was over 30 years ago. I can tell you those two sets were top quality and like all high end HO scale brass, they were duplicated from blueprints and imported in very limited quantities. That $469.00 price on the AHM set on eBay now is a starting bid. Every once in a while you will also see an unpainted set up for grabs on eBay. 👋
