Love the Easter egg, I remember when Questor was the Catapult ride, it was moved to Germany when they put Questor in the Hastings building. I couldn't ride Questor something about the screen made me sick. I rode it once (same as Star Tours at Hollywood Studios) My wife and I are teachers and for our summer jobs we worked as dispatchers for Busch and Water Country, until I retired from teaching and we moved to Georgia, cheaper cost of living. I remember the old roller coaster in Germany, I think it was the Glissade. My wife, when she was in High school worked on the Big Bad Wolf. We both miss working dispatch at Busch. I was there on opening day, it was packed, I was 9, I grew up in Hampton,VA which is about 35 miles from BGW. What a fun day. Keep posting these BGW videos, we love them.
Great video! I do remember riding Questor a few times. I had forgotten that the area used to be called Hastings. One of the things I really miss is the stage that would rise to the second level in the show at the Festhaus. The band would march in with their instruments, sit in the platform and then it would raise up in the air. The dancers would come in and dance of the stage directly below them. When the show was over, the dancers marched out, the platform would lower and the band would march out too. So unique!
questor was bomb! it was a huge addition to the park and always packed, it was highly advanced for its time, of course i was young and stink bombs were new so i use to drop them in the long enclosed cue line, man this video brought back some great memories, i loved the arcade that was where the pub is now, and the shooting gallery across the street, enchanted lab was a must every visit! does anyone remember the Shadow Room? where you stood against a photo sensitive wall, a bright light would flash and your shadow was left on the wall for a short time.
Awesome video dude, I was so reminiscing about this when i was like 8 in 1993. I loved this ride, the waterfall hit so hard, the pageantry of the deep halls, and I was a thrillseeker, i did loch ness before it. Love this video, thanks for bringing it back to life
Never had the joy of Questor but enjoy a little history lesson on BG. Would love if you had more short videos of rides. My favorite that’s shut down was Big Bad Wolf.
I remember waiting in that rocky hallway many times it did cool you off though i didnt even know it still existed until i went through killarneys diner
I remember Busch Gardens Tampa had Questor, with professor Eddison Fitzwilly, in search for the crystal of Zed, I always thought that simulator was as good as Star Tours.
