As a Scotsman, my only experience of Colwyn Bay came from passing through while driving to Bangor. It was enough to convince me that I need to come back one day.
we used to take holidays in towyn , my mates went to colwyn as it was posher, i watched the hotel 70 degrees built and was in awe of it, i never did manage to go in though, i dont think the first by-pass helped then the a55 just ruined any hope for the town. i still go whenever im around the area, i took my father on probably his last outing, he was losing his sight rapidly but for some reason he gained a lot back when i parked up at the derelict pier to watch starlings flocking. great video, thanks,
3.32 looks more like Pensarn to me, 1st shot looking towards Abergele & Pensarn station and the 2nd looking towards Llanddulas-that section of duel carriageway was built long before the Colwyn Bay section.
