One would expect the Wayne Foundation and Wayne Enterprises to have separate HQ buildings... Would get a little sketch, tax-wise, running the two from the same offices.
One thing that was different about the lost episodes that a lot of people don't realize was that the Wonder Twins finally began to work with the expanded cast. In prior seasons they only teamed up with the five main heroes, or in the shorts, they were always teamed with Wonder Woman or Batman & Robin. The Lost Episodes showed the twins working with Atom (Roller Coaster), Green Lantern (Two Gleeks Are Deadlier Than One), Aquaman (Pint of Life), Hawkman & Hawkgirl (Unexpected Treasure), and Flash (Space Racers). That trend continued in the Legendary Super Powers series, where the twins were teamed with Robin, Firestorm, Samurai and Apache Chief in various episodes.
Besides which, one short had the Twins facing down two escaped members of The Legion Of Doom - and actually holding their own, however briefly. When they lost, it wasn't due to blunders or stupidity or random bad luck - they were simply outside their weight class, and up against villains even the heavy hitters had trouble with. My other lost fave was three Phantom Zone villains escaping and then traveling back in time to menace Superboy. Three members of the SF also traveled back to save him, including Superman himself! Surprisingly, no paradoxes resulted, and the ep ended with Superboy very confused, and no mention from Superman of 'remembering' these events.
The narrator is wrong. The lost episodes were seen in fall season of '84. I was in college during that time. I saw a episode where superman gets sucked in a black hole into the past where he prevented krypton from exploding and affected history as a result.
I grew up watching the 70s versions of the Superfriends. I.e. the first three seasons. I'm currently watching the later seasons now and am blown away by havin these previously unknown to me extra episodes. The shorts gave us more of the guest stars from the Superfriends hour, which was great as we were only just getting to know them there. And on challenge only Green Lantern and Apache Chief got lots of air time. Here we see more of the Hawks, Atom, Samurai and Black Vulcan.
While telepathy and TK are often combined into characters' power sets, Prof. X isn't one of them. He's strictly a telepath. Don't know how he took down a sentinel with it but he did.
I always thought the Wayne Foundation building was weird looking with that giant tree in the middle of the building. What the fuck was that? Than years later, as a graduate student in public policy, I went to an interview for an policy internship at the Ford Foundation building on the east side of Manhattan, near the United Nations. Guess what, there is a MASSIVE rain-forest gardent growing in the middle of the lobby rising through the middle of the building!! I immediately thought, so THIS is what the Wayne Foundation building was based on. You should see it for yourself.
HA The episode where the trinity are put into a nightmare world reminds me of the first Trinity arc after Rebirth started. The arc is called "Better Together"
