Sweden had for a long time engaged in trading with Germany and their biggest export was iron ore from the mines in up north sweden, but the swedes also sold iron ore and ball-bearings to Great britain. They stopped all trading with germany in early 1944 , the swedes also tapped german telephone lines and caught Intel was always given to the british command. Sweden also threatened the Nazi's that if they were to make any attempt to attack sweden , the swedes themselves would blow up their mines or they would give conscent to the british to bomb their mines, thus ending Germany's supply of iron ore early on. So the conclusion is Sweden was in a really bad situation early, with the occupations of both Denmark and norway by nazi Germany and the soviets attacking Finland , they were sorrounded by 2 major potential enemies
