Brilliant video! Thank you for sharing interesting information. The voiceovers were very unprofessional, though! At 18:24, I couldn’t stop laughing when I heard someone talk like that for Imran Khan. Lol. Miandad’s voiceovers were disrespectful sadly. I think you need a new person to do the voiceovers. Sorry for the criticism! The video is still brilliant and worth watching. Keep making more content! :)

What Kapil Dev - Sunil Gavaskar is to India, that is what Imran Khan - Javed Miandad is to Pakistan. By the way during the later phases of both Kapil Dev & Imran Khan, they both were senior to the greatest cricketer of their country that is Sachin Tendulkar & Wasim Akram.

If you take a look at the scorecard of the Hyederabad Test, you would know that why Imran declared when he did. Miandad at 280* was clearly a secondary issue. It was the day-3 and only the 1st innings was going on. He had to declare to have a chance at winning the match, which we won deep into the final day, thanks to Imran's heroics, as you mentioned, against a very strong Indian batting line-up. Team should come first, not any individual record.

It was the right call for the team as it ended in a comprehensive win. Many at the time believed we could have seen a win and some records or at least a triple century. Quite similar to the Warner declaration recently. Detailed thoughts on the declaration will be given on next week's DVPodcast

Pakistan white-washed NZ at home in 1990/91, not 1989, under Miandad's captaincy when Imran refused to play against a weak, Hadlee-less, Kiwis. On the 1988/89 tour to NZ however, Miandad did score a big double hundred, but the series, played on placid tracks, ended in a 0-0 draw, Imran was the captain.

Ik couldn’t have done nothing if miandad wasn’t there , in every game in every series in every event, ik didn’t even know how to place a field, ik was a great player but miandad put country first ik often took time off for personal reasons and was took a good use for his fame to be elected as a pm and to build a hospital but miandad never have used or misused his fame miandad was a dedicated unbiased player miandad to me was a super hero unlike ik used his fame for him and perhaps for his political party, ik have made miandad retire on 280 one of the most biased decisions may god forgive him

Actually the revolt against Javed Miandad in 1993 was orchestrated by Rameez Raja who was vice captain at that time and Wasim was getting vice captaincy at first, but the president of PCB at that time Justice Nasim Hassan Shah (late) made Wasim Akram captain and appointed Waqar the vice captain which I think was the ugly decision. Rameez once again lead the revolt against Wasim after just one year.

IK cried in dressing room, after 87 semi final loss? Please provide reference. Moreover, Miandad dropped a catch and gave away few byes in that match, but that's not his fault as he was not a regular wicket keeper. Both him and Imran tried their best, but Imran, on 50 odd, was given out wrongly by Dickie Bird of Border, Miandad threw away his wicket of Reir and was visibly tires, that was it

Thank you for sharing all that with us! Interesting to read your thoughts about Paracha, especially that last bit about Mushtaq in the ‘76 tour. As always, the source is given since the viewer can decide what’s best to believe. Will make note of the source. Imran may have missed out on selecting some players but he created more stars than any other captain. Imran indeed announced his retirement in advance and the semi-final in Lahore was considered to be his last match in Pakistan. Fans were seen with signs as they implored Imran to take back his decision.

@@DoosraView I'm talking about the 92' world cup revolt you mentioned, actually, the players who revolted weren't against the captaincy of Imran but the fact that they thought that Imran would out all the world cup winnings of the entire team into Shaukhat Khanum and they wouldn't get there deserved money, which Imran clarified in the end through Miandad. Great video but Pathetic voice over. You could have just done a regular voice over on Miandad, but you decided not to! Instead you pretty much made fun of how Miandad talks.

Voiceovers could have been done better undoubtedly. The Miandad Last Ball 6 Special was made shortly after this as a tribute to the great man, with a new speaker. You will find voiceovers up to expectations in that and going forward.
