History of INTRAMUROS, Manila Philippines 05 March 2024 

Intramuros was once attack by the Chinese pirate named Limahong but was repelled by the Spaniards, then came yne series attacks by the Dutch n the British navies, only the British were successful n occupied the fort for almost 2 years n were later expelled by Spain, nxt were the Japanese during WW2 and later by the Americans.... unfortunately Manila was heavily bombed by both the Japanese n American forces n left the city of Manila in ruins...the once beautiful city of Manila known as the "Paris of Asia" laid in ruins n most ot the beautiful Neo Classical bldgs. were destroyed n sadly not rebuilt after the war

Let me correct you my friend the end of American rule was in1946 independence day of the Philippines July 4 1946 until President Diosdado Macapagal moved the date of independence in June 12 1898 Manila is the Original name of I ntramuros .Intramuros is a second name or nickname given to the place those who are living inside the wall while Extramuros or Extramural were the name given to those living outside the wall other name given to Manila Intramuros were Perlas de Oreinte , The Ever Loyal City, ciudad de Manille
