You are the cradle of human civilization. Eyes of every conqueror has set upon you. You are painted red by wars and conflicts. Yet you thrived and welcomed your conquerors and made them your own. Beautiful presentation. Greetings from Bangladesh.
Before the Persians, no one had such a large empire. King Cyrus the Great was recognized as an ideal king even by the Greeks at that time. Such a great history and beautiful country. I hope I can visit Shiraz, Persepolis,Pasargad and Yazd.😇 Greetings from Chechnya👍

My favourite Queens from History are the adorable Persian Queens : 1. Cassandane, the "dearly loved" wife of Cyrus the Great, and the influential and powerful Persian Achaemenid queen 2. Atossa, a wife of Darius I the Great, and the influential and powerful Persian Achaemenid queen 3. Mumtaz Mahal, the beloved wife of Shah Jahan, the Mughal Emperor. Shah Jahan, one of the greatest and most famous emperors, as one of the world's most famous symbols of love, built one of the 7 Wonders of the World for his beloved Persian wife Mumtaz Mahal. She was a lovely queen, Mumtaz Mahal used her position to promote humanitarian programs for the needy. Mumtaz Mahal was a Persian noblewoman from Iran/Persia. A crater was named in her honour on asteroid 433 Eros. A crater on the planet Venus is named after her. Even during her lifetime, poets would extol her beauty, grace, and compassion. She was a politically astute woman, at her intercession, Shah Jahan forgave enemies or commuted death sentences. 4. Stateira 5. The Martyred Queen "Khayr Nisa Begum" : The most powerful queen of Iran after Islam is the Martyred Queen "Khayr al-Nisa Begum" (Mahd-i Ulya) who ruled Iran for 2 years. Khayr Nisa Begum was the most powerful queen of the Safavid Empire, and she is the only Safavid queen who ruled the Safavid Empire. She was martyred to defend Iran and Iranians. She is one of the greatest women in the history of Iran. This intelligent and beautiful woman was the savior of Iran both during her precious life and after her martyrdom. 6. Balendukht, Queen of Georgia (the queen of one of the most popular and famous kings of Georgia, Vakhtang I of Iberia). 7. Hamida Banu Begum, the mother of the third Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great. She had great influence over her son and Akbar Shah had great respect for his mother. 8. Laodice III of Pontus, she was a Persian princess from Pontus and the most powerful queen in the history of the Seleucid Empire, and Laodice III is the only Seleucid queen who ruled the Seleucid Empire. 9. Jeyran (the beloved wife of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar). She is the most influential queen of Iran during the Qajar Empire, because contrary to the tradition of the Qajars (as it was the tradition that the Qajar kings be of their tribe ancestry in both paternal and maternal.), Jeyran became the mother of the crown prince and the official wife of the Qajar king "Soltan-e Sahebgharan Naser al-Din Shah". The greatest Iranic rulers in the history of Iran : 1. Persian Achaemenid Empire, the first hyperpower in history : Cyrus the Great and Darius the Great 2. Seleucid Empire (a Macedonian and non-Iranian empire, and the most powerful and largest Macedonian empire after Alexander of Macedon) : Laodice III , she was a Persian princess from Pontus and the only Seleucid queen who ruled the Seleucid Empire. This Persian princess ruled the Seleucid Empire for 6 years. 3. Parthian Empire : Mithridates I the Great of Parthia 4. Sasanian Empire : Ardashir I the Unifier 5. Samanid Empire : Ismail Samani 6. Buyid Empire : Adud al-Dawla, he is widely regarded as the greatest king of the Buyid dynasty, and by the end of his reign he was the most powerful ruler in the Middle East. 7. The Martyred Iranian Queen Khayr Nisa Begum, the most powerful queen of the Safavid Empire, and this Iranian woman is the only Safavid queen who ruled the Safavid Empire. 8. Zand Empire : Karim Khan Zand And some famous queens who were half Iranic : 1. Tamar the Great, the most powerful and popular queen in the history of Georgia, and her mother was an Iranian Ossetian princess, named "Burdukhan of Alania". 2. Cleopatra was a mix of Macedonians and Persians. (Her paternal and maternal grandmother "Cleopatra I Syra" was also half Persian). 3. Also, Mastani was half Persian, she is one of the most famous women in the history of India, and her mother was Persian. Mastani was the daughter of the Rajput king Chhatrasal. Her father was the founder of the Panna State. Her husband Bajirao I was the 7th Peshwa of the Maratha Confederacy. 4. Cleopatra I Syra, Queen of Ptolemaic Egypt, and regent of Egypt during the minority of her son, Ptolemy VI, from her husband’s death in 180 BC until her own death in 176 BC. She ruled Egypt for about 4 years. Her mother "Laodice III " was a Persian princess from Pontus, and her father was the famous Seleucid emperor "Antiochus III the Great" who was a mix of Macedonians and Persians, Seleucids were Iranian from their mother's side, and Macedonian from their father's side.

Nasir al-Din al-Tusi was a Persian polymath, architect, philosopher, physician, scientist, and theologian.[4] He was a well-published author, writing on subjects of math, engineering, prose, and mysticism. Additionally, al-Tusi made several scientific advancements. A 60-km diameter lunar crater located on the southern hemisphere of the moon is named after him as "Nasireddin". A minor planet 10269 Tusi discovered in 1979 is named after him.[66][67] The K. N. Toosi University of Technology in Iran. His birthday is also celebrated as Engineer's Day in Iran.[70] In astronomy, al-Tusi created very accurate tables of planetary motion, an updated planetary model, and critiques of Ptolemaic astronomy. He also made strides in logic, and mathematics but especially trigonometry, biology, and chemistry. He left behind a great legacy as well. Nasir al-Din al-Tusi is widely regarded as one of the greatest scientists of medieval Islam,[6] since he is often considered the creator of trigonometry as a mathematical discipline in its own right.[7][8][9] Al-Tusi was the first to write a work on trigonometry independently of astronomy.[47] Al-Tusi, in his Treatise on the Quadrilateral, gave an extensive exposition of spherical trigonometry, distinct from astronomy.[48] It was in the works of Al-Tusi that trigonometry achieved the status of an independent branch of pure mathematics distinct from astronomy, to which it had been linked for so long.[49][50] He was the first to list the six distinct cases of a right triangle in spherical trigonometry.[51] Nasir al-Din al-Tusi proposed that humans are related to animals and that some animals have a limited level of awareness while humans have a superior level of awareness amongst animals. He also framed a very basic evolutionary theory (though markedly different from modern evolutionary theory).[17] The Muslim scholar Ibn Khaldun (1332-1406) considered Tusi to be the greatest of the later Persian scholars.[9] There is also reason to believe that Nasir al-Din al-Tusi may have influenced Copernican heliocentrism.[10][11][12][13][14][15] Tusi's criticisms of Ptolemy were similar to the arguments later used by Copernicus in 1543 to defend the Earth's rotation.[43] About the real essence of the Milky Way, Ṭūsī in his Tadhkira writes: "The Milky Way, i.e. the galaxy, is made up of a very large number of small, tightly-clustered stars, which, on account of their concentration and smallness, seem to be cloudy patches. because of this, it was likened to milk in color." [44] Three centuries later the proof of the Milky Way consisting of many stars came in 1610 when Galileo Galilei used a telescope to study the Milky Way and discovered that it is really composed of a huge number of faint stars.[45] Nasir al-Din al-Tusi was born in Tus, Iran. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nasir_al-Din_al-Tusi Throughout history, Iran was always a cradle of science, contributing to medicine, mathematics, astronomy and philosophy. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science_and_technology_in_Iran Science in modern Iran en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science_and_technology_in_Iran#Science_in_modern_Iran
Some scholars that argue Copernicus did plagiarize the work of Nasir al-Din al-Tusi say that by never claiming it as his own, he inherently condemns himself.[73] Nasir al-Din al-Tusi specifically, the plagiarism in question comes from similarities in the Tusi couple and Copernicus' geometric method of removing the Equant from mathematical astronomy.[13][15] Not only do both of the methods match geometrically, however, but more importantly they both use the same exact lettering system for each vertex; a detail that seems too preternatural to be happenstance.[13][15] Moreover, the fact that several other details of his model also mirror other Islamic scholars bolsters the notion that Copernicus' work may not have been only his own.[15] There is evidence that his mathematics and theories did make the journey to Europe.[11][12] There were Jewish scientists and pilgrims who would make the journey from the Middle East to Europe, bringing with them Middle Eastern scientific ideas to share with their Christian counterparts.[12] While acknowledging that this is not direct evidence that Copernicus has access to al-Tusi's work, it does show that it was possible.[12] There was just such a Jewish scholar by the name of Abner of Burgos who wrote a book containing an incomplete version of the Tusi couple that he had learned second hand, which could have been found by Copernicus.[11] It is important to note that his version had no proofs of the geometry either, so if Copernicus had obtained this book he would have had to complete both the proof and mechanism.[11] Additionally, some scholars believe that, if not Jewish thinkers, it could have been transmission from the Islamic school in Maragheh, home to Nasir al-Din al-Tusi's observatory to Muslim Spain.[11][12] From Spain, al-Tusi and other Islamic cosmological theories could spread through Europe.[11][12] There is evidence as to the means of Copernicus acquiring the Tusi couple and suspicious similarities, not only in math but in visual details as well.[11][12][13][14][15][16]

Iran (Persia) is the world's oldest country was established at the time of the Achaemenid Darius the great, The oldest civilizations in the world, the civilization of Jiroft in Iran (See Wikipedia) !!
Rep 101, I’ll correct him. Iran had civilizations predating Mesopotamian civilizations such as jiroft of 7000 BC. Those people were not Iranians, they were native Iranians. But because their writing system was more of a geometrical code not built for recitation, it loses the title of first civilization in history. Furthermore, I personally think it’s mongo-Turkic to say “our” civilization of jiroft as they were not modern Iranian’s ancestors. Iranians come from the steppes. They have a common ancestor with the Europeans. They were semi-nomadic farmers who began to settle in Iran in around 1000 BC roughly. The jiroft people were already long gone by then. Furthermore, in 7000 BC, Iranians and brits were the same people genetically until 4000 BC so saying that the Jiroft people were Iranians is like saying jiroft people are also brits to that matter. It’s irrational. I hope my explanation was understandable.

Birthday Celebrations, Animation, the Guitar, and Dessert were invented by Persians. The Persians were the first to develop the practice of lavish celebrations of one's birthday. The Persians were also the first to develop the practice of lavish celebrations of one's birthday as well as the art of animation for entertainment and the custom of having dessert after a meal. Birthday celebrations originated (as they did in other cultures) with a festival honoring the kings's birth but gradually spread to members of the nobility and then the lower classes. In ancient Persia, birthdays were celebrated with special foods the guest of honor would enjoy and a cake for dessert with candles. Entertainment might have included animation - as evidenced by artifacts such as a cup which, when rapidly turned, showed a goat leaping in the air to snatch leaves from a tree - and music featuring vocals accompanied by stringed instruments such as the cartar (also known as the tar) and the "Setar", the precursor of the modern-day guitar. The practice of serving dessert after a meal was not reserved only for birthdays but followed every day's evening meal. Birthday Celebrations and Dessert Birthday celebrations began as festivals honoring the king's birth, but the Persians eventually expanded the concept to include everyone and so invented the birthday party. These celebrations included special foods prepared for the guest of honor and a cake served after the meal with lighted candles on it. The cake itself might have been specially prepared for the event but the practice of eating sweets or some other sort of treat after dinner was common after every evening meal. The birthday party and concept of dessert both highlight the Persian cultural value of enjoying life while one can and making each day a celebration.

Rhazes of Persia (Iran) was the greatest Persian polymath, physician, alchemist, philosopher, and important figure in the history of medicine. Rhazes is widely considered one of the most important figures in the history of medicine.[2] He was born in Ray (in Tehran province), Iran. Rhazes is considered the father of psychology and psychotherapy, the father of pediatrics, a pioneer in ophthalmology, making leading contributions in inorganic and organic chemistry, also the author of several philosophical works, and also first to categorize the Hospital dept. Rhazes also discovered numerous compounds and chemicals including alcohol and sulfuric acid. Sulfuric acid today is used to make many substances from fertilizers to detergents and has impacted everything from agriculture to our domestic lives. A nation’s industrial strength can also be gauged by the amount of sulfuric acid that it produces. A comprehensive thinker, Rhazes made fundamental and enduring contributions to various fields, which he recorded in over 200 manuscripts, and is particularly remembered for numerous advances in medicine through his observations and discoveries.[4] He also wrote on logic, astronomy and grammar.[7] As a teacher of medicine, Rhazes attracted students of all backgrounds and interests and was said to be compassionate and devoted to the service of his patients, whether rich or poor.[11] Through translation, his medical works and ideas became known among medieval European practitioners and profoundly influenced medical education in the Latin West.[9] Some volumes of his work Al-Mansuri, namely "On Surgery" and "A General Book on Therapy", became part of the medical curriculum in Western universities.[5] Some volumes of his work Al-Mansuri, namely "On Surgery" and "A General Book on Therapy", became part of the medical curriculum in Western universities.[9] Additionally, he has been described as the father of pediatrics,[14][15] and a pioneer of obstetrics and ophthalmology.[16] For example, he was the first to recognize the reaction of the eye's pupil to light.[15] He was the first to clinically distinguish between smallpox and measles, and suggest sound treatment for the former.[8] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abu_Bakr_al-Razi
+Persepolis Yep I think there is some truth to wht u are saying. I personally think that the idea of 'supreme leader' is bs. It should have just become a 'Republic of Iran' and its up to the people how uptight they want to be about their own religion not to the Ayatollahs. I hate the fact that Iran hangs people of different sexual orientation, has the second largest execution rates. And if it only looked into renewable energy it would have saved itself from pointless sanctions over the nuclear program -_-
+Persepolis but at the same time I also believe its important to keep an independent voice. That doesn't give in to anyone else and act like a leader in the region. Not just become a yes man to the west (Turkey, Saudi, Jordan and the rest)
+Persepolis im iranian myself. i agree with most what you said exept withe the pahlavi part. we don t need monarchy, what we need is to ban islam from politics (im not muslim , dosent care about religion, but it should remain private business) republic of iran is the solution....
Love and respect from USA. My mom was from Iran, a country with dignity and civilization. I hope them best of luck. With due respect, personally I don’t like their current government.
The greatest and most powerful Empire the world had ever seen. Majority of Law, Business, Finance, Politics, Education and everything in between comes from Persia. I wish they could return to their former Glory. If anybody knows anything about History they'll know Iran is the centre of the world. You need to control Iran to control the Middle East which in turn controls everything else. I would give my left testicle to watch the rise of another Persian Empire.
Its what happens when you force the country down the path it has been going. Just told you majority of the worlds inventions and law come from there. Meaning that they were smarter and more advanced than the rest of the world at their time. Not to mention that this wasn't a few years, this competitive advantage lasted thousand of years. Everything you see today is based on thousands of years of history. Don't be ignorant. When the Islamic states took over, it was an exponential decrease of freedom, power, wealth, health care, law and subsequently intelligence. Having said that from an unbiased view. What makes you say they lack intelligence? Shouldn't make a comment unless you can back it up with facts. That's like me going to Syria and taking "The average health care status". You cannot get an average IQ of a country that isn't free. Over there if you break certain laws you will be executed without question. People are not allowed to think for themselves. You insulting them by referring that they lack intelligence is the equivalent of me talking crap about my great great grandfather. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't be here. Same principle applies.
Murat Özgün and here I thought you were an intelligent individual trying to prove a point, but from reading this comment I realised you are the biggest idiot here. It sounds to me like you have a personal issue with them and try to insult the whole nation and its history to satisfy your hate. The same as how a person is defined by his or hers years of experiences growing up, a country is no different. I never said they have to specifically be your ancestors. Clearly you have no knowledge in history. The Persians, Greeks, Romans amongst other countries had a huge impact in the development and invention of law, technology, society, cultural tolerance, mathematics, infrastructure and literally a thousand different things. Its not like that now because its was stripped of its power and forced to obey laws. With Nuclear power coming into effect, countries, empires and growth mean very little. Thousands of years of history later, an idiot like you pops out of the mothers womb and calls Persian idiots.
+Oliver Draathelvete, Romans adopted from Greeks and Greeks adopted from Persians. Greeks were slave owner, pedophile, misogynist, barbarian, idolatry, etc. before they came in contact with Persians. In fact it was the Persians who taught the Greeks human rights, religious freedom, multiculturalism, monotheism, government (satrap), gender equality, woman empowerment principals, road system (pony express), taxation, abolish slavery, caravan serai (rest area), labor payroll (finance), coinage, modern garden, irrigation, water canal (qanat), advance ship building and sailing, etc, etc,...
+fanzy1338 Both sides did what we can call morally wrong, both sides did horrible atrocities against humans. Sure, I don't deny the persians had a great influence with their enormous empire. They had a great impact on the middleeast and had a great impact on the roman emperors, the later roman emperors admired the persian kings and dressed like them, and were surrounded with eunuchs. Just look at Diocletian. They were definitely inspired by them. I don't deny the greeks did bad things. The spartans treatment of the helot population, where they forced the would-become spartans to kill helots during some part of the year and their opression of the helots, by taking their land and treating them like slaves. The Athenian massacre at Miletos is another good example of greek slaughter without any remorse. They were loyal to different empires and city-states during different times. First they were their own, then sometime under Spartan rule then later under rule of Lydia, against the persians. Persians destroyed the city- they were then loyal to the persians. At some time they revolted against the Athenians, and the Athenians exterminated the population. I don't deny the greeks had slaves, they had the helots like I mentioned, they had the pedagogae, but they were paid for their work, they had men who carried the hoplites armor and they had all sorts of slaves, they also traded in eunuchs for some time along western Turkey but they didn't have a system of castrating these people (eunuchs). Though the Greeks had slaves they often had much more rights than the Persian slaves. Because the persians had slaves and did atrocities as well. Let's look at Kambyses II when he invaded Egypt. The Persians launched cats on the enemy because they were sacred, they are said to have nailed them to their shields. They didn't fight clean. Not in this battle at least. The pharaoh were later executed, in an Egyptian revolt against the persian king. Lets go back to the slaves. The persian had eunuchs in their court and harem. Don't let Propaganda fool you. They did for sure. Not only is it mentioned by Herodotos, and Ctesias and other Scholars as well. And mentioned by the scholars who were with Alexander in his campaign when Alexander met Bagoas. Even the persians themselves depict them in their reliefs. They are often close to their king, keeping him cool with a wip waving above his head. They are beardless, no moustache no beard which is typical occurence in the male body when castrated at a young age, before puberty in this case. They didn't grow beards, their voice was lighter than other men. Tablets have also been found that depicts eunuchs. They were close to the persian king and served as the kings eye because he had great confidence and trusted the eunuchs. They had different tasks. Some were close to the king and he had sexual pleasure of them. The word 'Eune' means "bed" in Greek and 'scheo' "to hold control over". They looked, sounded, different from other mena nd women. They stood out in the persian empire. The Persian kings reason for taking eunuchs were many. They couldn't inherit any power at any chance. Because they were different. They carried out administrative work. They served as trusted eyes to the king, and cupbearers for the king. You can see the cup in their hands at some reliefs and they have a looped napkin the badge of their office. They also served as bed-warmers. The Persian king took thousands of eunuchs. After crushing the Ionian-revolt which led to the Greco-persian wars, the Persian king Dareios took the most beautiful boys and girls from Ionia, forcing the population to give up their sons and daughters for servitude to the persian court, castrating both. THAT IS SLAVERY. The iranians practiced in this, or more to say Persians in the 1900's. Because persian is the right word to use for this time. But the use of eunuchs is said to have been around since the time of Cyrus the greats time. Cyrus is often portrayed as the most humble and greatest king ever in the time of humanity by the Iranians. I doubt it. He is said to have executed his enemies at one point after a successful battle. And Eunuchs were around him. His cylinder of human rights and abolishment of slavery is more or less a copy of the Hammurabi code. At least it is according to me and many other scholars. You can google this what I've written and you will find many links to people who agree with me (serious historians with scholarship in history) who claim that he only copied the Hammurabi code. The Hammurabi code was written in the 1700's BC. way before the time of Cyrus the great, and it had laws of vengeance against those who did criminal acts. If one man cuts out the eye of another his eye shall be cut out. It also spoke of slavery and adultery, It never really forbade slavery that is true but it said if someone brings a slave from outside the city in here he shall be punished. More or less. It said that in general. I dont deny Hammurabi used slaves. But my point is the whole script is very similar to that of Cyrus cylinder. Many historians also say Cyrus wrote this to make himself popular. Hammurabi by the way forbade homosexuality, Persians didn't. Christians/muslims later forbade it in Constantinople. No use of eunuchs or homosexuality was seen in western turkey under muslims and christians rule. Iranian did practice in the 1900's in boy brothels the boys were known as Bashi boys. I said this earlier I think. Moreover, the persians treated their conquered lands with honor and respect, Cyrus liberated the jews from babylon which was a great deed. He may have altered the balance of the great ruling over the weak and incorporating everything into his own empire but letting the people worship whatever god they wanted. Which I also think as good, and wise. I know Cyrus did great things. And he died in battle as well. Unlike Xerxes and Darios who sat on their throne watching the bloodshed. But even if Cyrus was a perfect king the kings after him are KNOWN to have used eunuchs and castrating boys and girls is just as barbaric as ISIS. The immortal soldiers even had their own concubines with them, the eunuchs were in charge of the concubines. Even if the greeks didn't do it systematically they traded with eunuchs I condemn this too of course. See this is how a serious historian or amateur historian like myself should look at the greater picture and compare. History is also a subject for the philosophers, because nobody is really right. Nobody was there. We make different analysis of it, you understand?
It’s sad to see the place Human Rights started by Cyrus the Great, when he openly allowed his people to choose their own religion mor than 2500 years ago, you can’t do that now in Iran! I guess it’s true they say in history All Empires Fall eventually...
@@ciaronsmith4995 I know, I was being sorta hyperbolic, they are people from other religions for sure but you can’t publicly criticize Islam or Quran. Or you can’t have a big platform advocating your religion on a big scale over Islam.
@@xerxes5785 I mean whatever man, Iranians will decide what they want, it's none of our business if you ask me. Iran is fine as a country it's not a "threatening" country in any way unless you watch Fox News. Domestic Iranian policies are what they are up to citizens of that country to decide how to move forward.
@@ciaronsmith4995 Actually it’s not up to Iranians to decide, a while back they protested against government, cause of the prices and everything and the government killed two thousand people. A recent survey showed that 60% of the population don’t even identify as Muslims anymore in Iran, so you think they can just protest and separate politics from Islam? NO, just like before they’re gonna get executed. I *wish* you were right and it was up to Iranian people to decide they’re government, cause that country has one of the richest histories, but it’s not. In fact at this point I do believe that another revolution is just about the matter of time.
Khayyam of Persia (𝐈𝐫𝐚𝐧) is one of the greatest scientists, philosophers, physicians and poets of history. He was born in Nishabur, Iran. By the 1880s, the great Persian mathematician, astronomer, and poet, Khayyam, was extremely well known throughout the English-speaking world, to the extent of the formation of numerous "𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐲𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐬" and a "𝐟𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐭" Khayyam's poems have been translated into many languages. An asteroid was named "Khayyam" in 1980. The planet 3095 Khayyam was named in his honor in 1980 and the lunar crater Khayyam was named in his honor in 1970 as well. One of the holes in the moon was named in honor of "Khayyam". 𝐑𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐲𝐚𝐦, since its publication and massive circulation, the work has become one of the most popular classics of world literature. The Persian calendar is the most accurate calendar in the world, and Khayyam reformed the Persian calendar. The Persian calendar became the official national calendar of Iran (Persia). The Persian calendar is more accurate than the Gregorian calendar. Bertrand Russell remarked that " Khayyam of Persia was the only man known to him who was both a poet and mathematician, a special and creative scientist has been dedicated to the astronomer-mathematician who was also a poet, philosopher and physician. " Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr always read Khayyam's poems before going to sleep. Many great and famous men loved Khayyam's poems, and they were calmed and inspired by reading Khayyam's poems. Such as Mark Twain T. S. Eliot Martin Luther King Jr Abraham Lincoln André Gide Théophile Gautier Edward FitzGerald And many others Khayyam recognised for his Jalai calendar, understanding of the parallel axiom, classification and solution of cubic equations, his contribution to literature. In 1079 CE, Khayyam reformed the solar calendar. His work on Algebra was also highly valued in the Middle Ages. As a mathematician, he is most notable for his work on the classification and solution of cubic equations, where he provided geometric solutions by the intersection of conics.[7] Khayyam also contributed to the understanding of the parallel axiom.[8]:284
“Now that I put the crown of kingdom of Iran, Babylon and the nations of the four directions on the head with the help of (Ahura) Mazda, I announce that I will respect the traditions, customs and religions of the nations of my empire and never let any of my governors and subordinates look down on or insult them until I am alive.” - Cyrus The Great
VISHWAS WADEKAR yeah I’m sure he idea of a religion based on a caste system seems more desirable than one which eradicated the class and race system. Smh
@Syed Ibtisam Haider dude go learn more about our religion Our religion too believes in one god but the idols are the avatars or The forms of the parambharma Which came to our land or country in human form Go search about parambharam In google u will find more about it We will be polytheistic till the end of the world This the land where the Alexander got defeated and Islam will be defeated And your so called one conception of shapeless god was created by vedic aryan Hindus Not by any abrahamic religion I hope u would not split venom
@Syed Ibtisam Haider dude Its written in our shri mad bhagwat Gita whenever our religion the land of sin becomes more powerful Than land of purity The avatar comes to land to defeat the land of sin and re establish our religion with modern life Even Hindus will have to face the day of judgment or your so called qayamat When the tenth avatar will come and take us back to sathyug from where we began our life and will lead its first foundation Not everyone will be allowed its will be based on our karma or deeds Unfortunately its the last yug known as kalyug and its divided between 4 yug or eras And I hope u will not bash us for being polytheistic I belives most of the religion are same but manipulated according to them

Wow I'm speechless! It's always nice to learn more about my background, sometimes it's a bit surprising to learn just how many different cultures have been introduced into Iran.
Monther M no no no , come one israelis loves u , you wanna turn them down ? they are your friends they always was and always will be , so we are in 2016 now nearly , we dont believe in the boogeyman shit i guess the world should be and hopfully will be against all of you , if that happened i will be glad to take the honor to be an activist
+Tiago Blumenfeld Sarafina Iran loves Jews and Israelis. But we hate Netanyahu. A Iranian woman once said: "You are American, I am Iranian, we don’t know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same..." I think this quote is usable for every nation on earth. We people should focus on us.
I am from Serbia and I really like Persia and it's Indo-European origin. This Turkmens, Azerbs, Mongols, Uzbeks and... I just call them Huns, were the biggest problem to Persia. Semites (Arabs) as well. And it's interesting how islam developed with Persian influence (literature, architecture, language of muslim all around world, traditions, cloths, food). Persians influenced both Arab Islamic and Tatar horde conquerors. You just have to use your great culture and heritage and you will always be independent and strong. Hail Iranic culture from Europe and Northen Africa to India!
***** 500 years? I can just tell you that you should inform yourself. And we were never rebels :) Serbs always fought to the last man and kept heritage and religion untouched. We would rather die than become your rebels and slaves. Turks never accomplished that goal to enslave us. They could do that just to young boys and girls that only had protection from their mothers, while fathers were dead in battlefield like real men. Do you know how Ottomans came to Vienna and lasted 200 years longer than they should? With their janissaries. Oh wait, who were they? Brave turkish warriors? I don't think so.
***** Albanians? HAHAHAHAHAHA. Wich Germans? That one that needed Polish help? Hungarians? Really? Did you know that Turks struggled in battles and they feared Serbian Empire. One day Dushan, Emperor, died. But few months before his death Pope and he made agreement about Turks. Pope was going to give Dushan title of Protector of Christianity. And he died... But still Turks couldn't attacked dissoluted Serbia. Later the biggest army in this part of Europe on river Maritsa get drunk and Turks killed them. 1371. But Turks could do just that. Kill drunk Serbs. Not normal ;) Still, on Kosovo Turks for the first time lost sultan in battle and many of it's army. Weakened and small Serbia still could deal with Turks. For next centuries Serbs fought pretty good and were never serfs of Turks. While Albanians could just fought in their mountains. They never left Albania beacuse they were cowards. Than Turks finally sent army and finished them. Just think, how much did one small Albanian uprising lasted? And how much plenty of great Serbian revolts lasted? Albanians were even friends to Turks. They accepted islam in order to get privilegies. While Serbs never did it! Just some in Bosnia, but that were just less than 10% of that Serbs. The biggest problem to Turks here were Serbs. They were on important position. We could destroy Ottomans at end of 18th century but Great Powers interved,
***** Beacuse we deserve that credit :) Are you okay? Beacuse you are stupid. They didn't accomplished anything. That "combined" army was small lead by uneffective guys. Ottoman Empire wasn't mighty, especially at that time. They couldn't fight poor-armed Arabs. When Russian kicked their asses they was angry, so did they took revenge and attacked Russia? No, they are cowards. They attacked civilians. And done one of the biggest genocides in history. Real and the best Turkish warriors are of Slavic blood. You took our gold, our healthy nation, parts of Serbia that were under Ottoman rule for so long are poorer. Vojvodina that was under Austrian rule is richer. Look at Slovenia and Croatia. We are poor beacuse of Turks. And you have that power beacuse of NATO. Just look at your army in WW2 ;)
I am from Pakistan and I will IA visit Iran in July with friends. I want to see the splendour of Persepolis, the culture of Isfahan and the warmth of the Persian people. Pakistanis generally support Iran against Al Saud aggression and American instigation. Long live the Persian civilisation!
+TheCeLL87 ya know....they call themselves arabs or their descendants...and still " support Iran against Al Saud aggression and American instigation ".......stupid morons
