Nah he needs to react to knowing better's video on Japan. Because the guy who made this video skipped over some crucial events. You know, like all the holocaust, genocide, rapes, murders, oh and deserving to be nuked out of existence. I said it. Japan deserved to be nuked.

Ryan Mary you can’t keep your military strong if you do not have a strong Economy and you can’t have a strong Economy if you isolate yourself from all foreign markets. Stronger economy means there more money you can put towards having a strong military. You also can’t keep a strong military without keeping up on all technological advancements especially on the international stage which is hard when you choose to isolated yourself off to the world and ignore everything and everyone. This is why every serious military keeps close tabs on their enemies weapons and tactic so they can come up with strategies to counter them. You also can’t keep a strong military without large amounts of industrial and resources which is impossible for most countries (though not all) which is why after Japan modernize they immediately started conquering new Territories. Look kid you don’t need to be a global military superpower to survive but you do need a milltray just strong enough to resist a foreign invasion and you do need to continuously make progress both Economically and scientifically. If left behind economically you can not afford a Military strong enough to resist foreign invasion and if let behind scientifically your Military will be under equip to fight your enemies. You also need access to raw goods to build things like tanks and airplanes. All three of these things is extremely hard if not impossible to accomplish in Isolation. Also having allies and trading partners make all of the above much easier. After all it’s good to have friends
