what do both of these abbreviations mean

ETU is the name of the attack you have when you input a eCD+1 (just frame crouch dash+1). ETU means Electric Thrusting Uppercut

I think it's always meant to be a whiff punisher more than a mixup tool

Jin's CD game works similarly to Kazuya in that you go for the LLRK for the low, f,f+3 for the mid, and CD 3 if you think they're going to sidestep. In 8 you get nothing off the low option, though (unless there's a floor break).

@@SolidSonicTHDepends what level of play. At high level play, Jin's 50/50 is reactable and becomes a lot weaker. There you play him as a safe, Poke/CH character but with the T7 nerfs theres other characters that do what he does but better and easier. You want real 50/50 play Devil Jin. Devil Jin has weaker CHs but stronger 50/50. Poke, 50/50 DvJ and poke, CH is Jin. In Tekken 8 he has a real 50/50 in Omen Stance as the HS is 4 frames faster and the Mid which covers the HS which is Omen Thunder God Fist looks the same on startup as the HS and theres only 1 frame difference between them which makes it impossible to fuzzy against. Outside Omen Tekken 8 Jins plays very similar to Tekken 7 Jin just with better poking, weaker CHs and a actual oki game.

This comment makes no sense. First of all CD1 is mainly a whiff punisher and you can input it just like an electric, you don't see the wave dash meaning it's unreactable. What do you mean autoblock mode? How is your opponent going in auto block mode a bad thing when you have a 50/50 from wave dash? You can't just autoblock a low bruh.

it's a 20 frame startup -12 on block launcher, and + you get even more damage from cancan than from ETU.

there is 5-6 frame window in t7 and even bigger window to buffer in tekken 8. in t7 turn hit analysis or simple frame data display on to see the timing

It was the story reason. After betrayel jin wanted to get rid of anything related to mishimas. So he went yo australia unlearned mishima ryu and learn traditional kyokushin karate for 2 years. So bcz of jis hatred towards his bloodline he did it. Well that style was back in T5 with dj.

The development reason was definitely because of them adding Kazuya back into the story

I think they are find in current state, in CNT they were a bit too long. People won't spend heat for combos since it add too much scaling and doesn't extend the combos as much.

Makes sense Fury! Myself included, sometimes I forgoted to use heat because of that. Overall, I miss nerfing Jin and buff poor Kaz hahah, its a good start.@@TK_TheFURY
