History of Quentin Quire - The Kid Omega 

As much as I want ultimate power, sleeping with Scott Summers is too high a price to pay. I'm out.

I would love to write Quentin Quire stories. Alpha and Omega is probably my favorite X-Men story.

I just fangirled so hard when I saw this! Kid Omega is by far my favorite mutant and one of my all time favorite comic book characters. You may be my new favorite youtuber. This is amazing.

I would also like to point out that when he took the drug kick it messed with his mutant powers permanently messing with the original intent of his second mutation (Beast told him he was getting a secondary mutation before he even got the makeover) . Emma Frost also said that while on the drug kick she described herself as violently insane. So while finding out he was adopted definitely was the straw on the camels back, it really wasn't responsible for his actions (he had been taking the drug before the final straw). He was on a drug that made you literally nuts while his second mutation was making him process thoughts a thousand times a minute a new mutation he had no control over. Think your thinking all these thoughts you can't really grasp combined with a drug that drove you crazy. In fact his insanity is what infected the crowd till the Cukoo's stopped him (also the kick wasn't the only thing that killed Sophie her sister did to). In a ironic twist the only X-men that thought they needed to deal with him in a reasonable way was Wolverine, who has gone crazy before. Cyclop's was to wrapped up in his affair and Emma was to. The only Omega telepath that could deal with him was countries away and didn't come back when she heard of the threat. I mean your origin covered quite a bit but I just feel it didn't hit all the notes and it was a bit mixed up. Still kudos on reviewing Kid Omega anyways he's definitely one of my favorite new mutants.

Neat, think I might start with Wolverine and the X-Men since you suggested it. I'm completely new to comics and just started reading some of the New 52 stuff online thanks to your vids. I gotta say thank you, man. You've really opened my eyes to a new medium that I didn't even consider before.

OK this is going to be a little strange I think. Faust you are really cool and know quite a lot about comics and stuff. You are so into it and it really comes across. On a side note and this is the thing I( was alluding to about strange. I am a 40 year old guy and I have to say I have a huge crush on you. That the crush is separate from just watching your vids though.. Well anyway keep it up cause you are doing well.

I personally think that Chris Clairemont's X-Men (1991) is an awesome way to start. It's sort of a new beginning and really features classic characters. Also, it's a good starting place in case you want to check out X-Force and New Mutants!! ... It's a bit after Days of Future Past, but will prepare the layman/woman for Age of Apocalypse and Cyclops's most awesome mullet :)

I really love Quentin quire too he and Jullian are my favorites.

I have heard of that title before though I wasn't sure if I was going to get it or not even though I have really enjoyed all of the x-men titles I have read so far but after your praise I am going to invest on getting myself it! This is really helpful because I haven't been reading comics for very long (a year or so) and your videos have just made it so much easier to find a way in.

I was just wondering if you have done a video on the HellFire Club, I have heard a lot about it but there doesn't seem to be a lot about who they are and what they actually do.

It'd be cool if you did a history of Nightcrawler. I've tried researching him to learn more about him in the older issues of X-Men, but all I ever find is the same vague history that just tells basic things about him.

I think if someone wants to start the X-Men they should do so with Astonishing by Joss Whedon or Morrison's new X-Men.

Never liked Quentin Quire... I first saw him in that (I believe) X-men Legacy arc with Martha and he was an ass then. Then in Schism, he was an ass then as well. But, what made me not like him the most is his portrayal in Wolverine and the X-men in contrast to Hellion (Jullian Keller). Hellion's a douche/bully in that series (in a far more extreme than when he's first introduced), a kid who lost hands, abandoned by his ACTUAL family, suffers from PTSD and receives little to no attention by the older X-men (except when he's being treated with contempt). He's the bad guy/jerk/bully of the series... This made me drop the series after a few issues.
