The memories... 2017 and 2018 Rust clan scene was unlike anything I've ever experienced in all my time playing video games. All the drama and late nights spent with the boys... I joined my first clan in 2017 and probably hopped to and from dozens by the end of 2019. For years we all played on the same few servers with the same few hundred people. The community we had built is something I still look back on foundly. Thanks Jack for not letting these stories day.
Noah, seriously always a pleasure to see you man. Yeah it's sad it's the end of the era officially you know it's over when there's documentary's out about it lol. Was really just a simple time in our lives being kids, having fun and making memories, glad we got to do it together wouldn't exchange those experiences for anything. Thanks for being along for the journey man.
you never know videos like this could bring things back(there are plenty of documentary style videos for certain types of playstyles in games that don't spell the end of those styles...just look at well just about any video on eve online lol)@@JackShephardTV
My first wipe somehow my boy talked us into a zerg, 2nd wipe we had a 5 hour seige on our compound... now I play with a few people but still have a small clan going on console. RHOA (Rust Home Owners Association) !!!
This comment killed me haha. Don't some server owners make bank off this gane though? I've never actually played Rust, but I like watching these types of videos.
Jack Shephard is an absolute legend for making this kind of content. It all felt so long ago but it's crazy how over time we've become part of history in this game. As much as I love Rust, it feels great to have moved on. GG
Glad you enjoyed it Zeck, Always felt for the hours we played we never got any type of closure for what happened, wanted to honor the community who had such a profound impact on my life beyond the game. I hope all is well today man, hope to see you for our finale. :)
As someone who played in CML, YPB and horse gang, I loved the old clan scene. Honestly Kind of see how it went and how down hill and toxic it all became. Great video and thank you for giving the players who deserver credit credit!!
What a great video jack! The trip down nostalgia lane was a rush. The early days of rust clans back in 15-17 was insane. Clans ranging from 20-100 ppl, the wars, insane raids etc. played against and with so many great players. RIP CPA!
Never played rust but I love watching content of it. There's just something that draws me to the game to watch it. Wether I hear the multiple headshots, the loaded loots you kill unexpectedly, the raids and etc. I got love for the game and it's content creators. So knowing the history of clans in rust is a good video and informative to me. Thank you for the lessons.
Cant wait for the next part, miss the old days this was done fantastically. Neeko what say we make a group for the old school players and see who can beat us 😂
It's pretty interesting how a lot of modern-day Rust RU-vidrs got their start in the Rust clan scenes. Welyn, Tacularr, Tesla, and Frost for sure, with people like Kimchi and Wally1k likely being involved as well.
As someone who backed rust at earlier access and have not played since release. I love seeing how this game have evolved. Through the ups and the downs. Rust is still rust!
I will never enjoy the time I’ve had in rust more than the 2016-18 era of the game. When launch came out and people were rushing or camping it with hazis that you didn’t take any rads in or the OG ak. From old hapis on Canada Large or Moose Large it was the best times of me playing.
Yeah will definitely be the question or theme for part 3, its unfortunate I think these guys came in with the best intentions but ultimately caused the most damage. Hope you've been well Mike, missed ya man.
Wish I could do more, it's very upsetting for me to see young people taken away so soon. I truly hope we get to see them again some day in another wipe, they will always be remembered here.
Happy to relive it with you guys, you were a huge player strongbow lmao. I remember when you killed Keem that one time and he didn't payout. Happy to give us a proper ending on this part of lives, thanks for making it all happen.
I was a part of a little clan (5-8 people) on rustafied us lowpop and once in a while main or long 2 , The Dobs from 2019-2020. Those were hands down the most fun times of my life, we were dominating every wipe just about and the clan wars we had were beautiful
Haha, my bad on the credits lol. I was so on the fence for a tag credit with the blur on the screen lmao. Always good to see ya Yexom hope you enjoyed the watch!
@@JackShephardTV ahah nah if you needed to credit every 3 seconds of footage you’d be writing a novel in the description another great video mate, always an interesting watch ❤️
Neeko's most formidable foe will always be Cisco and the grub epidemic. The greatest times Rust had to offer was a mute leading me to doorcamping Neeko for hours on end.
Good to see you Silly Salmon, hope you've been well over the years. Cisco was truly an awesome character, even for never speaking he had such a massive impact on the community, hope he is doing well these days.
When Covid hit and we all stayed home that was my favorite time of the rust clan scene, with everyone home and so many players and clans every wipe was exciting and hype. Miss The OG Days Of Rust
absolutely great video, feels weird to look back on it during covid and after covid, was the true peak of the main scene i do believe that. i played in many great groups and met so many cool people from around the world who i still have connections with to this day, we really were a part of history in rust, i dont think it can ever be done again and prob not in anyother game, the main scene created something so unique that everyone took part in and it was roams sometimes gettting ready for roams day 1 was better than even going roaming, i do miss staying up all night protecting the base but im glad that ive moved on as a person. #LLAK🕊
Wow this video brang back allot of memories through familiar names! I was Definitely a new gen but playing with groups like Section, 4EVR and many more groups this video makes me wonder where all the time went. Thank you for the awesome video
2014-15 Will always be the best for me. Playing as an 8 man back then was just so fun. Now an 8 man is seen as a mid sized group while its insanely common now to run 30+ deep.
It's crazy, it truly feels like yesterday but for some people it's almost been ten years. We really didn't realize the memories we were making, it was an honor to be apart of it.
The facepunch devs not liking camomo stream and destroy cheater bases and leave the loot is insane Becsuse for a good year+ me, zora, officer jake, padme, ser wanker and i think rizza was his name. We would just private message the devs when we got cheated on facepunch 1 au and cried we lost progression on a video and they would come ban and destroy all the foundations in the base. Only a few times we ever saw themdelete boxes of rockets. Every other time we managed to loot everything then go offline raid the server for "content" Oh and it wasnt just 1 dev that would do this. Once they were in a meeting and winter and jake were messaging them for over a hour until they came on and banned 30 people mid raid on us. Then we fucked around by flying scappys around the map that holemzy spawned in for us before they were added to the map. Even raided with it...
If only I hadnt stopped playing rust before it got to be as complex and interesting. My ass played M&B Warband and got heavily involved in their clan scene, which had its own craziness and drama but it wasn't as localized as this.
Happy to hear I was able to provoke emotion, that's always the goal with the content. OCE era was crazy, hope we can see something similar like it again in the future.
Haha, you knew the chat spams were so sudden, you'd be minding your business and then you see KiNN freaking out in chat, or #It'sFuckingNiceOut and your like Lmao this is Rust.
For sure agree with you on that, it's just a hard one to prove across the board after 2021 people were just open about it. But at the time people tried to still prove they were good, hope you enjoyed the watch.
These days were seriously the best something about it was just so addictive and unlike anything else I’d ever experienced in my time playing games sad the era had to end
The f1k times were my favourite back when i was closet- i just remember weather man being called out for cheating by so many lol. or when cassies house burnt down and the community came together to help
I teared up a bit, watching this Premiere, this was such a huge part of our lives, and I think none of us knew at the time how profound this game, and more importantly the people in this game would be on our lives. Thanks for making it happen man!
