Brillant. You answered a lot of questions I had about these instruments since like , the 60s 😂😂 now I understand a bit more, this music is mesmerizing really. It’s a different level of harmony. Maybe that’s why the Beatles particularly George were so fond of it. It’s so beautiful. Thanks for this lesson my friends 👏🏻
Thank you very much for this lecture and demo. Very valuable to students of world music and anyone who wants to learn more about the great music of the world.
Hello Will, you mentioned in another video that you were a guitar player. Has playing sitar changed anything for you when you play guitar now? Thank you.
Hello, Oh definitely. The study of sitar and North Indian classical music completely shifted my perception of music as a whole. As a guitarist, I've adopted many aspects both aesthetically and technically into my guitar playing. You can hear some of this in a recent composition of mine called 'the integration" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f0ctcin9lyQ.html
@@WillMarsh Hi Will, thanks for your reply. I had already liked the video you mentioned; unfortunately comments are turned off. Please keep it on. Also, please release your music on Spotify - it's free and it's accessible freely. More people are turning towards Spotify. Thanks and Namaste.
@@WillMarsh thank you. I followed you there. It will be q good idea to put your spotify account details in the video description. I've seen other people doing that and it helps a lot. Continue making great music 🙏
