I feel like the reason why people might believe that Cap was a founding member probably goes back to the movie title Captain America: The First Avenger. But I assume Marvel only titled the movie that as a teaser for the Avengers movie. Plus I remember hearing that it was just called "The First Avenger" in other countries as well for reasons.
People have thought that before the movies though. There was even an old videogame called Captain America and the Avengers, which kinda makes it sound like he rounded them all up to ROCK!
today I saw a 5-6 yo kid with an umbrella of the justice league, it was blue and on every side there was a character - superman, batman, flash... i was so jealous... i'm 25.
I'm so glad the success Variant has had. When it first started it was generally ignored because the Filmriot family was introduced to it first and like myself, I was more interested in filmmaking but I'm so glad it found it's audience, I wasn't that into comic lore but now I'm excited every time I see a new episode is out! Just discovered this channel and the "history of..." videos. What a FANTASTIC series for people who missed out on comics growing up and need some context to jump in! LOVE IT!
These episodes need to be longer. This is one of the best comic related channels, and especially when talking about these characters with over 40 years of history, I think the episodes should be closer to 15 min. You guys do a great job explaining the characters so non-comic readers understand them. I just wish there was more explanations of the major story arcs, for hardcore comic fans who know the characters, but haven't read every comic. But this rant is akin to me complaining that my donut with sprinkles, that I got for free, could have a few more sprinkles on there, and that donut already tastes damn sweet.
Wow im always awaiting a new episode of variant because i love comics and superheroes. Variant is creates so many interesting episodes. I love how he puts small and big vidoes avery fortnights. I would love to meet you one day or at least talk to you.

At a local comic book store near by they have the first issue of Avengers in mint condition and they're getting it appraised. They said hopefully it will at least be around $1,000
So I have a bit of a theory about Avengers Age of Ultron... you notice that most of the avengers have little tech upgrades... (black widows glow stick things, captain americas magnet thing, the new hawkeye arrow thing... yeah lots of things). I'm guessing that these are all from stark. But in the trailers it doesn't look like the hulk or thor have anything new (not that they need it), but i get the feeling that tony trying to give thor new tech, starts a bit of a rivalry between them, where thor is mad at tony for thinking that his mortal technology could in some way help the mighty thor. and tony is pissed because thor is being winy... just a theory... oh and ultron will be an excellent segway into civil war with cap being pissed at tiny
Someone told me that at in the year Avengers where from I don't actually remember which but on on that month a new Daredevils comic was supposed to to be published but Marvel didn't have even made the story and art so they decided to make another Superhuman team consisting of some of the heroes from Marvel Universe and they found success
I know this will never happen but please consider a history of Animal Man. I think he is one of the most underrated super heroes especially since grant morrison's run is almost if not comic book cannon. His new 52 run by Jeff Lemire is also awesome and he is on the JLU. He is my favorite hero and is the book that got me to fall in love with comics and is unique given that he has a family.
Avengers > JLA 1) Better name (Justice sounds cheesy) 2) Better cast 3) Better story lines (JLA best was Tower of Babel...and that's it?) 4) Joss Whedon...'nuff said
I actually like the Avengers better than the JLA. JLA always relied on Bats, Supes and Wonderwoman, the big three to do everything. In the early years, it was better with no superman involved. Now, now they have to rely on the big three to do stuff. In Avengers, they at least change the roster so Captain America or at least Steve Rogers, isn't always the leader. Hawkeye, Winter Soldier, Iron Man and now Falcon, they all took the leadership role and that was great. When Supes was gone, Bats always took command... I believe that without the big three JLA couldn't work. But with Cap, Iron Man or Thor, they being the big three of the Avengers, Avengers can still get the job done no matter who is on the team.
Do a history of wolverine and what are comments on his death .. and do u think when is a gud time to bring him back because we all kno that they cant keep him dead
