Closing out the year of 2007, we start by tackling the TCG adjusted list, move over to the September 2007 OCG list, then finally ending on a couple more TCG adjustments.
The amount of semi-limiting going on back then is pretty funny, imo the only valid semi-limit are cards that need to be at 3 for the full effect like malicious, semi-limiting jinzo and royal decree doesn't make any sense, nobody was going to play both at 3 but not at 2.
i mean putting anything at 2 could be a nice minor nerf, if you can’t draw it as consistently it’s inherently weaker. not always enough but if it’s balanced at 2 why not keep it at 2
The OCG team to this day loves to semi limit cards even if they can be searched. It is a consistency hit but more than that it might just signal powerful cards that may need a full limit or ban in the future
Good Goblin Housekeeping was semi'd in the first place because of the interaction with Emergency Provisions, btw And transmigration prophecy was possibly limited because it can loop with itself?
The friggin game cards are always the biggest game breaking cannonballs. Which they 100% do on purpose so people will buy 3 copies of the tie in games just to catch up with the meta. it's almost genius.
cards that discard as cost (discard happens, semicolon, effect happens) do not work, but discard as effect (after semicolon or none at all) do work That is why dark world dealings works and others do not
