HISTORY OF THE ORIGIN OF THE BAGANDA PEOPLE 

Thanks you for your 2 versions of origin of Bukanda Kingdom. I would like to make a few important correction. Muwawa was not part of Bunyoro Kingdom and never did it owe allegiance to the King ( Omukama) of Bunyoro. It was on its own comprised of 3 counties- Kyaddondo, Busiro and Mawokota. Their rulers originally alternated among the 5 Original clans but later years were dominated by Fumbe Clan leaders, Ntege. 2. Bemba Musota wasnt a Kabaka. He was a a warrior who came from Northern Tanzania ( Mwanza/ Bukoba ) came and overthrew Ntege, leader of the 5 clans. 3. The title Kabaka started by Kato Kintu, who amassed an army from the East and S.East ( Kyaggwe, Ssese, Buvuma, Busoga, mbale) where he was exiled under Bemba's reign. He came with 13 clans to fight Bemba. He was joined by the 5 original clans, defeated Bemba Musota, and Kintu was unanimously accepted as their ruler with a title Kabaka. The total clans went up to 18 ( 5 +13). 4. Buganda kingdom started at the time of Kabaka Kintu. When Kabaka Kintu dissapeared, his son Chwa became the 2nd Kabaka. One of Chwa's son known as Kalemeera exiled in Bunyoro's areas to escape fighting among princes.He bear a prince Called Kimera from a Bunyoro woman of Nsenene clan. When Chwa died, Kalemeera was also dead. The interim leader, a Fumbe clan mother called Nakku, ruled Buganda until they brought the heir to the throne, Prince Kimera, son of prince Kalemeera, grndson of Ssekabaka Chwa, grandson of Kabaka Kintu. So, Kabaka of Buganda Kingdom did not come from Bunyoro but the mother of the 3 Kabaka wasa Munyoro woman, Wanyana of Nsenene. 6. Buganda isnt a tribe and has never been a tribe as per definition and difference between a Tribe vs Nation. It was and is a nation.
