Insomniac adapted very good the Anti-Venom as just a "safe to use" symbiote, and I remember in the comics and Edge of Time whem Anti-Venom touched Peter he would try to "cure" him, which means get rid of his powers
i mean sure since it makes peter actually good to play instead of just being worse than miles (ingame), but i still feel like having no downsides to using the symbiote is kinda lame
Fun fact, that's actually not the first time Peter was unaffected by Anti-Venom's touch. The first was in the Ultimate Spider-Man show, and there wasn't a specific reason given for it or anything but in that show Anti-Venom is genetically related to him so maybe that has something to do with it
@@mugitude They missed out on an oppourtunity storywise (because the story was rushed or because they just didn't think of it) and that's having a mission where you play with Pete and he starts going a bit into his black suit ways even without the symbiote corrupting him but he at the end fully beats his addiction.

Not having Eddie be part of the PS4/5 storyline may have been the best decision they made. It resulted in not only Harry becoming Venom (Which is just more interesting in my opinion) but also Peter becoming Anti-Venom, so he now has his own permanent (Presumably) Symbiote powers that are completely under his control.
yup especially since it gives Pete a subset of powers to keep him interesting and as versatile as Miles cuz it would suck if Miles gets this cool bonus powers like electricity and invisibility AND tech on top of all that while Pete only gets tech
@@boshlovely2002 Right. The Spider arms are cool, but Peter definitely needed something else to keep up with Miles. That's why the Symbiote powers are important.

Damn so There’s literally no downsides to having a anti venom Symbiote. Also for the versus question I actually don’t know, anti venom should logically win but all 3 symbiotes working together would be deadly

After the events of King In Black Cletus was dead but his contiousness existed within the Carnage symbiote and it allowed him to have control due to their perfect symbiosis. After taking the Extrembiote from Tony Stark Cletus was happy with the power he had but Carnage wanted to become a god killer which was their original plan so Cletus expelled Carnage from the Extrembiote. The Carnage symbiote went on to steal Hydro-Man's and Spot's powers to take form without a host and travel the multiverse. On it's journey Carnage forged a god killing weapon called All-Blood and fused itself with uru metal before traveling the multiverse and killing Venoms from various realities to gain the powers of their hosts and hone its skills. It gained abilities such as a Hell-Mark and electricity and became immune to fire, sound and Anti-Venom's touch. Once it was strong enough and purged of weakness it traveled to a reality where Knull was invading and killed him, taking his power and was now ready to take on Eddie Brock and take the throne of King In Black for itself. While this was going on Cletus was doing his own thing with the Extrembiote just killing people and eventually took over the city but was defeated, after realizing Carnage's power surpassed his own he wanted to bond with him again and add his power to Carnage's. If they do become one again and Cletus with his Extrembiote is added to Carnage's vast power I think the only thing that can stop him is Eddie Brock or Codex.
Probably not the strongest symbiote but definitely the best to have seeing as you have full control over it and it is not trying to make you eat everybody
It is confusing that he is in the new Spider-man game...sort of? You see the anti venom suit or anti symbiote suit being able to burn away symbiotes, but in terms of strength, it doesn't seem superior to Venom. It took the combined strength of Miles and Peter to defeat Venom. And even afterwards they aren't really talking about it.
Peter legit says that its all the power minus the voices. So strength wise its same as what he had with the black suit. But venom is more powerful due to bonding with peter, feeding on harry’s intense negative emotions, as well as being empowered by the meteorite
And it has to do on how much peter had to hold back to hopefully reason harry out of the situation he can easily take the symbiote with his anti venom abilities during cutscenes
@spider-man5544 I chalk it up half to yeah. Peter is holding back to save Harry since Conners said if they remove Venom, Harry will die. And Peter doesn't want that. But also game play wise if they kept it true to the comics Symbiotes would take damage just from hitting you making Peter the far superior choice over Miles for any post game city missions.
I doubt the results would be different. I think what happened is that Martin turned that last piece of Venom into Anti-Venom and then it started to regenerate itself into its complete version.
Something like that did happened. In the comic a symbiote dragon was created and mix with anti venom 2 creating anti venom 3 and it have animalistic personality. Silence aka (anti scream) was created from a piece of scream symbiote and it also have a mind
Well there's Anti-Carnage an alternate version of Cletus Kasady who was Carnage for a while but after somehow becoming Anti-Carnage he became good and wanted to make amends for his evil deeds as Carnage.
Most actually don’t know that venom came as a hero, but became a villain because of Peter Parker rejecting him when he helped him out and saved countless lives including his best friends.
You forgot about Silence after Scream got badly injured by Carnage Andi used Anti Venom to bonded with rest parts of Scream she became Silence and Scream was no more she didn't have mind on her own anymore
eddie got cancer because venom convinced eddie a lie that he had cancer and venom was the only thing keeping him alive so that eddie wouldnt lose or break his bond with him. but after venom decided to leave him eddie was so convinced he has cancer now that his body was convinced actually giving him cancer.
That would definitely be interesting and hype to play, but I think most people wouldn’t want the third (and probably final game) to be another symbiote story. So we’ll see
I still don't understand why can't Insomniac's Peter just give Harry the Anti-Venom symbiote after their final battle since it can literally cure him. And also it's not like Peter needs it, since he's considering retiring.
Plus i dont think peter knows the anti venom suit has healing powers, just really effective against other symbiotes, have we actually seen him heal?, Cause if did, my bad i didnt know.
The anti-venom symbiote is a bond of the symbiote and Peter's white blood cells, so it's connected to him and will almost immediately die if taken off Peter from what I've heard. Also, this symbiote functions similarly to a white blood cell, it can kill diseases, pathogens, and foreign body substances such as venom and radiation, but cannot heal injuries or body malfunctions, and considering that Harry got brain damage, the anti-venom healing powers cannot restore him.
anti-venom is generally depicted as less physically strong then venom, it also can be killed by venom (or supposedly another symbiote) covering the anti-venom host (spider island). I wouldn't say its stronger then standard Venom, its probably on-parr. calling anti-venom "him" makes little sense as its literally mindless (unlike venom), it can't think for itself at all, in most depictions i'm pretty sure it just turns to goo when separated from a host unlike normal symbiotes which can still move. also the anti-venom bonded to flash was a different one then Eddie's (it was made from the Eddie's though), they had the same general powers.
I think it sounds kind of cool. It sounds a lot more better than regular venom. But I doubt he will ever come out. That would be cool if he actually next was Spider-Man. Why would you ever want to give up that power? There are no drawbacks to that power whatsoever. It would just make him 10 times better.
Toxin is so strong that both Venom and Carnage fear him anything that that psychopath Carnage fears must be deadly as hell. Anti venom would eventually die unless Spiderman joined in to help him.
Oh, that's really cool, tbh. I didn't know anything about Anti-Venom, so when I saw Martin Li put his power inside Peter, I just assumed that this was a completely different origin for Anti-Venom.
There’s so much that is left to speculate about the symbiote after the ending like I want to know if the anti venom suit that Peter wears in the game is a symbiote because we don’t see it with a mind of its own and try to speak to Peter. Now with venom it seems like he’s dead in the game but people have seen that when venoms tongue gets chopped off by kraven it’s still writhing and very much alive so there could be a chance that before the venom attached to harry dies that the tongue found another host maybe Eddie Brock and learns how to control it since it would be weaker than the one on harry. Lastly with harry in a coma he technically should still have a piece of venom still left in his body somewhere unless Peter got rid of it all. All in all the ending to the game was awesome they really wanted to leave so many open plot points to continue with in the next game or dlc which it might be carnage or chameleon or both, really hoping that somehow they make venom playable in the dlc as we only got a snippet of his gameplay near the end of the game.
Well it depends In strength, Anti-Venom is relative to Venom, as Anti-Venom is a hybrid between the Venom Symbiote and white blood cells brought together by Martin Li’s light energy It’s true that Anti-Venom could weaken and harm Symbiote’s to the touch, even if they employ Symbiote weapons in their attacks However it’s weakness that using its antibodies for healing depletes its substance Overusing it’s heal/purge ability would leave the host vulnerable to attack, as it happens to Flash Thompson vs Red Goblin In addition Carnage has a high regeneration factor among Symbiotes, making Carnage hard to kill In right circumstances Anti-Venom may beat Carnage, but Carnage with their high regeneration may outlast Anti-Venom if their substance depletes Still Anti-Venom does have an advantage to most Symbiotes
It's awesome to know Insomniac Peter now has additional power boost which is the anti-venom where he now equivalent or better than Miles in terms of power boost just don't know how insomniac is gonna make Cindy Moon be equal to Peter and Miles in terms of power in Spider Man 3.
So theres Anti-Venom, Agent Anti-Venom, Silence, Anti-Carnage and Misery. I'm pretty sure that all the "Anti-Symbiotes" as i call them but there can possibly be more, endless possibilities with the Anti-Venom serum fused to any other symbiote.
@user-zd1ww9kf6n well Anti-Carnage was the unofficial nickname given to Rascal before his origins were revealed. The true Anti-Carnage is an alternate reality of Cletus Kasady turning good and the Carnage symbiote turning into Anti-Carnage most likely the same way Anti-Venom was created. Misery is more of a hybrid of Carnage and Anti-Venom with the two symbiotes bonded to one host constantly killing each other and regenerating themselves.
Man the symbiote is op it heals illnesses gets rid of powers and is even op if it wasn’t for the limits of the symbiote it could have went toe to toe with knull
Yes in the end plot killed Anti-Venom Eddie lost his Anti-Venom, sacrificing his power to save New York from the Spider Island Epidemic Flash died as Anti-Venom, because Red Goblin took advantage of his compassion Physically Flash should have easily defeat Red Goblin But Red Goblin kept hurting Miles Molares, Silk and others, making Flash spread out his Anti-Venom thin healing others, making not enough Anti-Venom for Flash to fight back or heal himself when Red Goblin attacks him By the time Red Goblin finished Flash off later, there wasn’t enough Anti-Venom to save him So yah otherwise Anti-Venom could have easily take on any Symbiote, including Knull’s Necrosword and maybe Knull himself
If you are wondering why Peter couldn't take Venom alone even with antivenom,its like pokemon,its not because level 50 Blastoise is a water type that he can beat a level 100 Charizard
My only problem with anti-venom is his design I mean it looks great but for what anti-venom is I just don’t think it fits him. Like if I have to choose between Dr. venom and Dr. antivenom I would choose Dr. venom. Yeah he looks like he’s about to bite my head off but Dr. antivenom looks like he’s gonna cut me open eat my organs suck my soul my body to eat my soul then bite my head off. It’s still a cool design though.
True but while he was doing that he sensed the radiation in his blood due to the spider bite and tried to erase that too. But Spider-Man was able to get out in time

@marktime7692 maybe in this game its not the exact same as the one in the comics, cause anti venom usually seeks out diseases to heal, like its a snack. Well gotta wait now for the DLCs 😔
In theory. Honestly he could have probably just given Harry the suit and it would have had the same effect. Harry would be healed, have his powers, and everything would be cool

I dunno the thought that spidey has a symbiote that he can fully control and give him a big power boost is awesome, its nice to see him have a more organic upgrade then some high tech suit and gadgets imo
I believe toxin would win that fight. He’s the child of carnage, and the spawn of a symbiot is stronger than the parent and is more resistant to previous weaknesses, so although antivenon has the anti-symbiote edge, he’s about as strong as venom sense he’s technically apart of venom, so carnage would be stronger and a little resistant to antivenom, which would make toxin even more powerful than carnage
Anit-Venom underused and weak in the Spiderman 2 I mean i havent read much comics of it but I have seen Ultimate Spider-Man where Anti Venom Fought Harry (Venom) and just scratched him and he was in coma for days.
I propose that we name him Avenom now, cuze it's too long to say "Anti-Venom" or "Agent Anti-Venom". Let's say like Rhulk for Red Hulk, it's better to use ! And even if Avenom is strong as fuck, I think Toxin is strong enough to take him down, never forget that Toxin is the strongest known symbiote out there
Toxin, Carnage and Venom would most probably win. Venom would probably die in this fight, Carnage would be left very weak and Toxin would be kinda ok. Anti-Venom would unfortunately die because of the power of three symbiotes together, especially the power of the most powerful symbiote Toxin (leaving all black and King in Black Venom outside of the list) being against him.
Very good point tbh. I just think honestly Peter didn’t think of it because his suit doesn’t have a mind on it’s on. And I wonder in the next game I wonder what they’re do. I’m sure Peter will try to help him next game but honestly he probably didn’t think of it because the anti venom suit is different.

I think the reason why spider man 2 anti venom was weak cause if he had actually tried to cleanse venom harry would have probably gotten completely decimated
