Both the NWA and WCW US Title belts were beautiful designs around the time of awesome belts in the professional wrestling world, such as the Winged Eagle in WWF and the Big Gold in NWA/WCW. They could learn a lot today about the art of producing such a trophy and instil some pride and gravitas back into the industry. Great video summary!
I have really enjoyed these title belts other than WWE. These title belts represents the format of what the title is and should always be and only have a small or a little bigger company or promotion logo on it instead of WWE's 4 titles which has a gigantic W in the center of it.

I would say that the U.S. title (from the original design in 1975 to the current day) always had beautiful designs. Nothing too complicated, it’s just a championship that features anything involving the United States; in the form of the shape of the country, or the colors of the United States flag. I know many people prefer the NWA/WCW version over the current WWE one, but quite frankly, the US title has always been one of my favorite titles, & it’s always had beautiful designs. In my opinion, I also love the IWGP US title, it’s a good looking belt too.

Title with the paint Removal I'm getting mine next week ill be a first timer is it hard to do and instead of a pike would a tooth pike work also as it wouldn't Scratch it as much.. Hey man, know you are a huge Sting fan, I've been going back through the Network and it seems like when Sting was the U.S. Champ in 1995, he hardly ever had the belt with him. Just wondering if you know why this is. Thank you.

Great video but I just want to say I love the wcw us title more than the wwe us title because it looks very prestigious than the wwe version.To me it meant more than just a secondary title like in the wwe.Personally I would like to see the wwe focus more on the ic title and us title making those titles really mean something once again like they once were.But that's just my honest opinion oh and again great video.
WWE should bring back the wcw us title belt design with some updates. use the 5 plated belt and add the WWE logo on the far plates and the center plate. and add black paint to the eagle to highlight to eagle. or take the WWE winged eagle belt and add a us flag where blue world is on the center plate and add flags on the sides
I wish a new version of the WCW us title belt design would debut but as the WWE United States championship. because it would be similar to the intercontinental design.
NLR PRODUCTIONS, Agreed 100% I always loved that version of the US title. I've never been a fan of the WWE's version of the US title, glad they at least made it bigger as time went along. The original US title WWE made, looked like cruiserweights should be holding it lol 😁
I'd prefer WWE bringing back the Euro Championship then bringing back the Light Weight Championship. I just don't see WWE pushing the light weight guys much. It's just my opinion
Tell me, do you design / replicate these titles, or have you just bought them & made a video of your purchase(s)? On a side note, the WCW US Title was such a great designed belt, & TBH so was the WWF European title.
Mettin Kaytaz I do both. I purchase belts that I grew up watching, like my crumrine WCW Big Gold but I also lend my eye for belt designs to people who ask for advice. E.g. There is a Rock tribute belt that I had a hand in designing and my Wicked tribute belt, I drew up the original concept design, the maker changed it around, I then tweaked it asking him to add/take out parts.
Your right about the european title being put on a green strap with a red backing I saw on wwe classics on demand. X-pac was currently holding the title
WCW US Title is the most beautiful pro wrestling title belt. If I were to choose among the different incarnations of the belt, it's gotta be the smaller version.
There SHOULD HAVE been a brand split in wCw. ... Where Hogan, The Klique, and the glass ceiling coulda kept Nitro... .. As Thunder on Fox, would have had the cruiser tags, cruiser weights, and Bret using the Us title, as the Thunder heavyweight title.
the hardcore belt both wcw and ecw only had one design, apart from the Texas hardcore belt, the Smoking sjull repluca with horns on it and the NYC hardcore belt a european replica with a license plate stuck to it. I know little about the ECW belts

It's an Eagle Bash onto the Reggie Parks WWF Intercontinental HWC trophy belt. I think That should have been the Top HWC Trophy Belt! It was an upgrade to the HOGAN '84-85 Trophy Belt. The Hogan '86 Trophy Belt was HORRID! I think it was smashed to bits though!
I vividly remember when WCW debuted the new designed US title in spring of 1991 and I HATED it, because I loved the NWA US belt so much. I've since grown to really love that original WCW US title by Millican
too bad you did not include the NWA in this, they had some funky belts, one looking like the country and the silver version that looked like the NWA world tittle.
that belt is owned by a belt collector like myself, if you want "WCW" on it you have to pay a logo licensing fee. If you don't want to pay the fee you can have WOW instead

Yes, but this video focuses on the WCW US title, which is why only the final version of the NWA variant was highlighted as it was occasionally referred to as the WCW US title before the new belt debuted. This video wasn't intended to be a history of the NWA's belt

Cameron Wasmund at one point wwe used a SS replica and glued a bunch of garbage on it and used a euro replica and stuck a car licence plate on it. Both were cheap, tacky and a waste of time. The fact that they were modded replicas tells you that
I thin the NWA version is better than the WCW version, but both have things I like better on one or the other. I like the eagle on the WCW version with the lower 48 shaped flag, but I like the NWA having the red backing behind the wording & the 5 stars. I also prefer the smaller side plates on the NWA version. As for the WWE US title, its the flag, I dont know why they havnt had Cesaro or maybe ADR if he ever hold it, introduce a version with his countrys flag replacing the American flag
That's a wise decision to start with the WCW lineage. The history of the NWA US Championships before that is a bit messy. (That's not a typo. The NWA Charter allowed any member to crown a US Champion. Even WWWF had one.)
