@Rick Storm Incorrect, the WWE Big Logo only has the lineage of the previous WWE titles, the lineage of the original big gold belt (along with the previous NWA's lineage) ended (either, one could argue)vduring the title unification in 2001 (Triple H ) or even at the conclusion of Survivor Series in 2001. Just because the belt was "absorbed" into the WWE title, doesn't give it the same lineage, that just means the belt has been deactivated. Thus why the Big logo was simply the "WWE championship" and why wrestlers who were NWA champion, for example, aren't listed as WWE champions. The BG introduced in 2002 by Eric Bischoff was just a BG belt but it created a brand new lineage. Thus why when it was merged with the BL WWE falsely tried to claim that it has the NWA title lineage, proving that the BL didn't haha

I agree. WWE should of kept this legendary title belt and gotten rid of the shitty big logo belt. But you can't erase or replace history

Way better than the awful WWE belts of the past 10-15 years like the Universal Championship and the Spinner belt. Of course, it came out of the NWA, so Vince hated it and junked it.

The belts in the attitude era of the wwf were the best era, the only one was the hardcore championship. I think a lot has to do because wcw had this belt and wwf wanted some on thing like it

lol no there never was a 5 plate big gold. WWE used a 5 plate version for their "match graphics" and the title match belt graphics because they thought it better matched the big eagle with 5 plates

No, it wasn't part of the design. The Big gold belt, and replicas and real belt casts of it, have always had the nameplate screws on the back so it looks like it's part of the main plate.

Hazardf5 I figured it out by doing a little research, it turns out JCP had those Crumrine customizable nameplates as special orders from Crumrine (they had nameplates like Rick Flair (then Ric Flair), Stinger, Dusty Rhodes, Ronnie Garvin, etc.). But then when Ted Turner bought JCP & renamed it WCW, those special nameplates stopped being ordered and made & WCW moved on to the generic nameplates like those seen when Rick Rude, Hulk Hogan, Sid Vicious, Macho Man, Bret Hart, etc. were world champions.
