Watching Dr Alan give that speech had me in tears . They were special times. I have to remind myself of that wonderful sense of unity and passive resistance .. It felt like we awoke as a nation and were united with a voice. Funny thing is I was drafted the following year for military service in Bethlehem OFS and voted YES in the 92 referendum . I must have been the only YES vote in the whole district . Those boere boytjies didn't like me too much. Powerful times. .i still pray for my country and my brothers and sisters. God Bless South Africa and all its people!!
