Hit a stump and broke the mower deck 

"It must be nice to have a farm/acreage"
One thing most people don't consider is all the work and time it takes to upkeep the farm. Believe me I have way cooler and more fun stuff that I'd love to be doing instead of 2 days of mowing grass, 2 days of cutting down and chopping up dead trees and branches and fixing broken equipment.
Case in point: after about 4-5h of mowing (1st mowing of the year so the grass is long and it's slow going to get it all down)
I hit a tree stump with one of the blades, this bent the mower deck and caused the blades to touch each other and make angry noises.
So now we fix...
